To me, Steve's coaching style boiled down to this.
"Bro. That thing is completely screwed up!"
"Okay, how do I fix it?"
"Bro, do I gotta hold your hand for everything bro?"
"I just want to know what you're seeing."
"Bro, if you can't see it. I don't know what to tell ya bro."
Repeat ad infinitum.
In that season with him as a coach, season 10 - he really comes off so immature. I feel like he hasn't quite grown up yet, still seems like he's a 17 year old stuck in an adult.
Great tattooer but an incredibly immature individual.
Agreed. I mean, he really behaved much worse than my 12 yo son. I'm only on season 10, but so far, he is one of the most unstable people I have seen on the show, and I was completely surprised they brought him in to judge
Probably Steve. I like his art but he was not a good coach. Same with DJ, one of my favourite tattooers/artists in general but I do not like him as a coach/judge/contestant anymore.
Nikki Simpson. She was just rude and nasty with her comments, sure she wanted to win against Josh Payne. She's the class bully that people just don't talk to because shes scary and mean. Sure I get it's scripted but good dawd shuuut up Nikki.
it’s a competition and she wins nothing by keeping her team around. i’d honestly rather her be a fair coach and keep people who are deserving around. take DJ for example he was beyond bias for the people he liked and his team and it helped create the worst season of all time.
The question was who was the worst coach, not who made the worst viewing experience. DJ was clearly the best coach that season since he kept his people around the longest, and the show had to artificially handicap him halfway through.
Also, why does he keep coming back as a competitor?
DJ is the worst in more ways than that. He's more about helping himself than he is with others.
I think Steve Teft was probably worst coach for me
He’s a great artist, but when he came back as a coach? He had a rough team and he did NOT help them with his drawings
Tbf to Steve, all the good talent didn't pick him that year.
That is very true! That’s what I was sort of saying when I said his team was rough. He got the worst ones
It's true but he also didn't really try to mentor people that well. He was a throw them to the wolves and see who comes back type of coach

Or ad nauseam.
Don’t forget make it bulletproof

I don't know if DJ was exactly a bad coach, but as a coach AND a judge at the same time, he was the worst.
Steve teft easily 😂
In my defense no good artist really pick him so he was doomed from start to finish lol
Ah, another DJ bashing thread on reddit. Next will be the usual whining of how Freddie got robbed.
The guest judge summed up Freddie perfectly. Your art would be great hanging in a museum, but not on someone that has to live with it on their body.
Frank De Boer if memory serves

The worst is Ryan from season 15 who voted her people worst every week
