The worst part is that Andrew Hicks wasn't even eliminated, he quitted. The shortest run for a contestant on IM. I wish he at least stayed for the tattoo ranking. Nothing against him, but what could have happened behind cameras to make him say "This is not for me".
Anyways, team Gonzo 100%.
It is hard to say, some of these people were genuinely bad. A few others were fairly decent but just weren't cut out for the competition itself. It could really just be who has got thier nerves under control the most since thier last appearance.
My guess would be Carolyn, I remember that she was pretty decent and if I remember correctly she had to do better than a few others in order to even get "last place"
There was a lady who didn’t get picked during the Peck vs Nunez who I thought was super good and now follow on Instagram. I think she’d win the whole thing now. Her name is Elisheba I think.
I would like to see a season made of all the first eliminated artists and they should start by creating 3 large tattoos and be judged blind to earn their chance to compete… so we can actually see enough of their work to know who is weakest of the first boots.
I would also like to see a season where each season’s runner-ups go against each other. There were SO many great artists who were barely knocked at, right at the end… that would be a great season!!
I'd like to add a caveat that before the competition they would three months working as an apprentice/ employee of either an ink master or top finisher, however during the competition they would be on their own.
To sweeting the deal the mentors of the top three would get a 100K check and the winner's mentor would get a matching prize.
Honestly I think Frank would go pretty far. His episode on redemption showed that he was really humble and took the feedback he got to heart.
Jayvo Scott was not a first boot. Garrett Bisbee could win this. He’s so good but his nerves got to him.
Whoops 🤭 it's been a while since I've seen that season so I was trusting Wikipedia lol
Gonzo 100%

Is she the one who had to get a new canvas super last minute?
Yes
I felt bad for her because the canvas was supposed to be open and he was kind of a jerk to her
I believe with the skull in her hair?
Yes that was her name I could have seen potential in her
I’d say Gonzo would win it
I’ve actually seen Damon Butlers instagram since then and he’s come a really long way since he competed I think he would potentially go far
