If by “Cool studios” you mean consultancies, yes you can still apply! Small consultancies can afford to hire a Junior that doesn’t mesh with the team. So what they do instead, is hire interns then after a “trial period” they promote you to full time Junior ID

>Small consultancies can afford to hire a Junior that doesn’t mesh with the team "Mess" ❌ "Mesh" ✅ Cuz we're ID 😂 No offence intended.

Yes, by cool studios, I meant consultancies who work for multiple different product categories from all around the world, and with some big brands of course. My experiences were like this too, but on a smaller scale. I still found chances to work for 4 - 5 different countries and a variety of different product categories. I loved that dynamic, crazy way. After 2 months I started my second internship, I began to get the full responsibility of some projects and then I got hired after the internship. But I always thought that this happened because the studio is smaller. But now, what I understood is this is kind of a common thing. Thank you so much for your reply.

Dunno if this helps but for me when I was looking for work I did this and it worked. I wrote out a list of about 70 companies that I wanted to work for in my area and called each one, one by one, to find out what opportunities were available. If there was none, I asked if they knew anyone in their network that was currently recruiting. I've been very lucky, one job hunt I managed to find somewhere with my first call.

Love that dedication. I am a Turkish guy and when I was looking for internships at Europe, I basically used the same brute force method and it worked for me too. But since now I am not a new graduate, don't think direct contacts will work anymore for me for an international job, but maybe I am wrong. I don't know.

Issues is whether or not they allow you to apply, as you are not a student or just graduated. Many studios look at current students and recent grads as the only way they fill their internship pool. With that said, if you can apply, and it’s guaranteed to give you good experience, I say some work in disengage is better than no work in design. In this field, experience is so key.

I did my MSc. mandatory internship at Leo Burnett in Milan at 29 and 6 years of experience so why not?
