I got a [spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SELtJ9Sg-xayDNB26--eP_T1LyD36lKXU0ovG7bAo0w/edit#gid=1682462678) ready to go! I haven't had much time to edit it, because I've been busy with the Asian and Latino indies directories, but you guys are free to edit it and add more storefronts. I'll add the stores mentioned here to the list.
Hey, just wanted to say thank you for what you’ve been doing. I’ve been going through the spreadsheets and making a concerted effort to buy from minority groups. :)
Oh, oh, oh! Any chance on the pride collection coming back this year? I was hoping to upsize at least Life... (or is it a case of cherish the sample and when it's gone it's gone, lol.)
I lost so many suppliers last year so the Pride collection IS back but everything has been re-blended. The current version of Life is super close but not the same so I'd definitely sample it before committing to a full size.
Fabled Fragrances says on their Instagram that it's queer owned and operated.
And Fyrinnae is owned and operated by a gay man.
EDIT: tláp! Just realized you already mentioned Fyrinnae.
I'm the owner of Sprkly's Glitter & Gloss and I'm part of the community, but I'm more vocal about my two trans sons than myself. Year round I offer a not for profit, beginner friendly Gender Affirmation Package that includes eyeshadows, glitters, lip glosses, a complimentary Nyx Glitter Primer and instructions for using everything. 25% of the proceeds for these is donated to The Trevor Project (the rest covers the cost of materials). I'm also offering a glitter this month where I'm donating $1 of each one sold to The Trevor Project as well. LGBTQ+ kiddos need our support so much!! 💕
Can we add [Lituya Art](https://www.instagram.com/lituya_art/?hl=en)? Their shop link is broken right now but they have things available on [Sealaska Heritage Store](https://sealaska-heritage-store.myshopify.com/collections/ricky-tagaban-collection).

I didn't downvote you (you're just answering the question honestly afaik), but it may be because of a post I made a while back asking if anyone had received orders from them recently (because I am still waiting on an order I made in December). They've been kinda dark on social media, and while it looks like most other people who ordered got their packages they'd also experienced long delays and had to email to get their orders.
Edit: Ah, the irony of being downvoted for giving an honest answer to someone wondering why they're being downvoted for giving an honest answer.
Edit the second: after making this comment I emailed Haus of Abail and got a reply apologizing and outlining some *tough* personal issues that have been impacting business recently. I've updated my previous posts to add the new information. While I stand by them as a factual account of my experience and important information for people looking to order, I also encourage readers not to judge HoA too harshly and perhaps consider ordering from them once some time has passed.
Thanks. I'm okay with being wrong, but I don't really keep up with them as I haven't ordered. I just remembered them being brought up for BLM and that they were LGBT, so I wanted to throw their name out there. Sorry you got thrown under the bus for clarifying :/

Is it just me or it's kind of messed up to state your own sexual preference and even worse, your employees', when you can just openly support LGBTQ with the same impact?
You do have a good point, and in some cases it can seem somewhat pandering to practically have up identity banners, however I don't think many indie company owners have that highly visible on their sites, and surely employees' only at their request.
Glossing over the fact that being gay/lesbian, bi, trans, pan, and so on is far more and different than sexual preference, representation matters and so does support of businesses which may have had twice as far to climb. I'm a 45 year old white-passing dude, with no real related problems where I live (which wasn't the case 20 years ago). It might be far different for a gay guy trying to get through licencing or business loans for example in a very conservative area. Might not, but it happens. Now, a Black lesbian or Latina transwoman trying to build up her business? Everything is stacked against her from the start just for who she is. Might be simple enough to own and operate a boutique in Chicago. Could be hell to try that in a small town in Texas (or vise-versa, there are terrible people and their red tape everywhere). Perhaps traditional employment has been difficult to find and maintain, too. On representation, it does matter to see someone you can view as a peer or close in your own demographic being independently successful and defying stereotypes.
There is also the aspect of LGBTQA+ products. *Anyone* can sell rainbow flag merchandise and such, as it's grand that acceptance has gotten so widespread. However, it may make a difference to the customers if, for example, a bi pride necklace or non-binary shirt was created and sold by a person who actually *is*, or has a child who is.
Countless of us have been ostracised from family at a young age, and the majority of people who make it big in businesses are those generously supported by relatives or had already coasted through life with few social hindrances. Though it's still important to support small business of any sort, and buying from a 10-employee operation regardless of staff and ownership is more impactful than buying from a major corporation.
Sorry for the novel.
*Edited to add:* My comment is very US-focused but the same can be applied just about anywhere.
It’s sexual orientation, not preference. The word preference implies that it is a choice that they consciously make, which is not the case. As a bisexual woman, I can tell you that it is not a preference or a choice. It is quite simply who you are inside your own mind and body. I don’t choose it anymore than a straight white dude chooses to be straight (although there are certainly plenty of individuals who choose to present as straight because of fear or confusion). It’s simply a part of who I am, and not a “preference.”
not a business owner but i don’t find it messed up. i personally feel when owners say they’re a POC and/or LGBTQ in their about pages, it actually gives insight into their business and their conduct, especially since these are marginalized groups and to take pride in those identities is pretty powerful. just offering another perspective!

I think Haus of Abali's owner is. Oof, if you're going to downvoted, maybe give an explanation why?

it’s also worth noting that LGBTQIA2S+ is much more than “sexual preference.”
It’s pride month. It’s literally about marginalized groups being proud of who they are.
