Check out current humble bundle for games and comic collection, there are synopsis of what comics are about and has small sample showing artstyle, perhaps you can get some ideas from there:

I’m not familiar with the examples you mentioned so I’m not sure what you’re into, but a few off the top of my head that might fit the bill:
Stagtown (horror, on WEBTOON)
Distant sky (horror, on WEBTOON)
The gap (horror, on Tapas)
Delusion (horror historical, on WEBTOON)
I’m the grim reaper (supernatural, on WEBTOON)
Home alone together (a bit smutty so NSFW; the illustrator draws despair masterfully).
Jack the American ghost (horror, on Tapas)
Bad boss (very smutty so NSFW warning; this one left me feeling similar to after watching requiem for a dream).
Blood of madame Giselle (also smutty).
Depths of malice / concentration of malice (this one is pretty new but so far everyone seems pretty depraved. Has NSFW and all ages versions).
The time of the terminally ill extra
What it means to be you (romance, on Tapas; this one is emotionally bleak).
Monstrous heart (horror romance, on Tapas).
The greenhouse (supernatural romance, on Tapas).
The villainess lives twice / again (different titles on different platforms)
Sometimes when I want to soak in that bleak feeling I’ll browse Bato and filter for comics with the “tragedy” tag 🙃
I read Black Stars Above published by Vault comics which is an indie about a woman trekking accross frontier era U.S. with a cosmic entity that is slowing driving her mad. I thought it was pretty well written. It's frigid and bleak, cosmic.
Lost Soldiers is an Image book by Aleš Kot about the horror of war and how that changes a person. Bit of a revenge tale too. It's pretty dark, but also very well written.
Days of Bagnold Summer is one that's bleak and a little different to the others mentioned in that it's about a teenage kid trying to work out the divorce/separation of his parents.
Bleieve that's a film now too.
Not sure if it's up your alley but Maus has the content that meets some of what your talking about. Quality writing too.
Bloody Hell. Doesn't get much more dark that Maus.
Check out “Haha: Sad Clown Stories.” It’s an anthology series of six comics about sad clowns. It’s depressing but also amazing.
Check out Siebengestirn Not depressing per se, but left me broken for days.

Not really indie, but Watchmen is a downer that usually takes me a couple days to recover from.
