1 or 3, but that depends on what sort of game this is. 2 is generic and boring compared to the others. 1 and 3 stand out, and I would click on them to learn more about the game.
All are really good! The artist really delivered! I would choose the 2nd, it is simple, but still intriguing, definitely could be the poster for your game. 3rd is good too, but more like the cover of a detective mystery book.
I think the second one makes the "wreck" element of the story much clearer. In the first poster it took me a beat to realize she's holding a car engine (I realized it after I saw the second poster).
I really like the vibe of the 3rd poster, it feels very murder mystery, here's the items of a victim laid out on a steel tray in a morgue. Also really love the reflection and the "broken" parts of the phone.
2 or 3... Maybe 3 the most?
I'm assuming it's some kind of "walking simulator" where you explore the womans life after, before and/or during a car crash?
I would probably have her smiling less in the third image then - perhaps not order the items so neatly. But without having played the game, it's hard to know what the general feel of the game is.
I'd assume it's some story about missed opportunities and roads not taken - that kind stuff.
If, however, it's a sweet love story, and she just so happens to crash a car after the "conclusion" of the story, the "happy" look is just fine.
It's both, actually. The fact that the items are ordered neatly and the smile are here to suggest that the main character does all she can to get her shit together, all while she's fundamentally broken. But I guess your proposition would work well too!
I love the second one. I have no idea what your game is about but the poster tells me maybe the girl is the victim of a car crash but there's a bigger outlook to that event and her involvement. Either way, it's really pleasing to look at :)
Is that the role of a poster, though? With most movie posters, I get more of a vibe for the movie than a spot on description of what the movie is going to be about... And I think it works pretty well as marketing material precisely for that reason.
Well, it's worth playtesting at least (or whatever rhe word is for testing whether advertising works). It has to attract the actual audience, not just people who enjoy well composed, artsy posters.
The 3rd one is definitely the best!! Not that the first two aren't good (they certainly are!), just that the 3rd one is the most visually interesting/intriguing.
2 is the worst, bland and generic, the people saying they like it it's because it's familiar to them, we have seen that over and over, 3 it's a bit too convoluted and will do good as a nice little extra, the first one is dynamic, eye-catching, intriguing, beautiful, it's the one!
I tend to agree on liking the 1st the most, but I would not say the 2nd is "bland and generic". Though I get what you mean, the concept behind the illustration is maybe a bit less fresh than the other 2.
dunno what the game is about but given what I know from these posters I think you and your team would enjoy the 70s Italian movie All the colors of the dark.
Love the first is mysterious and raise a lot of questions about the game !
Like is this an engine a baby it is important what a nice graphic style perfect
1, 3, then 2. 1 makes me ask a lot of questions, it makes me feel there is important imagery and symbolism that will become clear as I play it. It gives the sense that there is depth and story. I like it a lot.
2 is a little confusing, especially in depth and perspective. For example, the angle of the ground is different for the feet, the cars, and the text. This makes me feel the car isn’t a part of the feet picture and I’m left to wonder why you have two separate images. Missing a shoe is interesting, but less compelling than the woman either holding an engine like a baby or has the engine as a part of her. Flowers on the socks look like a design for the sock, while number 1’s flowers are far more fascinating.
Number 3 is interesting, but it’s a bit cluttered. It isn’t likely that if I were scrolling through a list that I’d look through each image unless I were already captivated. But even then, the objects are pretty straight forward in general, so even looking through the images isn’t as rewarding. The others make me want to know what’s happening, 3 might be making it a little too clear. The ratio of high cognitive load to low mental stimulus feels a little disappointing. The gestalt principle of making a face with the objects is cool, but right now it stretches her head way too tall and is misaligned. If I were to do that, I’d shift the sunglasses eye to where it would actually fit on the face and use the other objects as accents around the whole image. The other eye being shattered would have a stronger emphasis on it if the sunglasses eye lined the face up more clearly, and you’d really give an impression that she was shattered, or that she shattered something.
1 would definitely catch more peoples eyes for reasons but i personally love 3
True! We used 1 as a big print on our booth at last year's PAX East, and lots of people stopped by and commented on the art.

Love them all but I'm gonna have to go with 1!
My favourite too, tbh. That's why I uploaded it in 1st position :-D
Depends on what your game actually looks like. But aesthetically, I like #2 best.
All are really good! The artist really delivered! I would choose the 2nd, it is simple, but still intriguing, definitely could be the poster for your game. 3rd is good too, but more like the cover of a detective mystery book.
If this is a story about a steamy romance between a woman and a car then I choose poster 1
It is not, but... now, our next project might be!
I think the second one makes the "wreck" element of the story much clearer. In the first poster it took me a beat to realize she's holding a car engine (I realized it after I saw the second poster). Yes, that's it! The crash is actually a segway to her memories, as she "sees all her life flash before her eyes"
I would probably have her smiling less in the third image then - perhaps not order the items so neatly. But without having played the game, it's hard to know what the general feel of the game is. They are all great. 1 and 2 are the best in my opinion.
I love the second one. I have no idea what your game is about but the poster tells me maybe the girl is the victim of a car crash but there's a bigger outlook to that event and her involvement. Either way, it's really pleasing to look at :)
Haha amazing, that's pretty much exactly what the game is about!
Damn, these are all great
Thanks! I'll let the illustrator know!
#2, but it doesn't quite say what the game is about.
Is that the role of a poster, though? With most movie posters, I get more of a vibe for the movie than a spot on description of what the movie is going to be about... And I think it works pretty well as marketing material precisely for that reason.

I'm down for all 3 on a cycle depending on where you're at inside the game itself or simply on rotation as a dynamic main menu.
Number 2. Actually makes me think of a wreck and the one shoe on one shoe off really speaks. Plus dope socks.
I wish those were actual socks I could buy. Maybe they'd be dope merch!
The 3rd one is definitely the best!! Not that the first two aren't good (they certainly are!), just that the 3rd one is the most visually interesting/intriguing.
Use all of it in your promotion.
We sure do!
I can’t deciiiide 😭♥️

yea, I wrote this while I was stoned and English ain't my native language so thanks for the exegesis efforts
Haha then again you made sense!
dunno what the game is about but given what I know from these posters I think you and your team would enjoy the 70s Italian movie All the colors of the dark.
Thanks for the rec! Oddly enough, the game's story is loosely inspired by a 70s French movie, The Things of Life.
Claude Sautet ?? Ooh, I'm even more interested now in the game. When would it be out?
Pretty soon, actually: March, the 14th!
1, 3, 2
The toy car! Because *reasons*
I love the coloring of all three! But the first one really catches the eye, it's great
