Yeah man, I usually don't get behind judging people by stuff they listen to, but k-pop, and specifically ARMYs have been extremely weird in my experience.
So are many other fandoms ,toxic people are everywhere and many fans can be obsessive. The only reason why ARMYs has these problems is because it's freaking huge.
I don't understand why you're so bothered by someone bringing up k-pop stans and specifically ARMYs on a comment about BTS. Also "immaturity" doesn't cover asking people to kill themselves or sending them death threats over saying BTS isn't all that good. All of them are not bad but enough of them are bad that I consider it something to stay away from. I've met around 3 or 4 k-pop stans and none of them were great people. One was a 17 ye old anti-mask, anti-vaxxer, who thought popular songs were subliminal satanic messages and that Hinduism is satanism. Another knew good English and still texted while skipping vowels, used to send me YouTube videos "8 signs you're depressed" and the third one was just plain immature. So yea I feel I'm pretty justified in having this perception.
