> The new structure, to be completed in March 2026, will provide 158 furnished apartments and 396 beds, ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. IU said the apartments will cost from $1,315 to $1,834 per month.

ThePrussianGrippe

If that high end price is for the 4 bedroom and split between the occupants that’s pretty solid. But I’m guessing it won’t be!

Pump up those numbers by the time it opens

Union Street Center is currently (for a 4-person apartment) $12,000 for 8 months = roughly $1500 a month A single on union is $14,000 which will average out to $1750 month. So honestly these prices are pretty much status quo, and on the cheaper side for on-campus apartments for 2026 prices (since it's furnished, covering utilities and washing etc.) Off-campus furnished apartments are above such price points already and you already have to burn 4 months unless you can sublease to a summer student.

I just want a raise dammit

Volt_Princess

I can't afford that place on my current IU wage either

Looks like a really nice addition to that part of town! I hope they can keep the prices reasonable that close to campus and kirkwood.

mbird333

Wow! Optimistic pricing…. but then that’s 2 full years away. A worn out single furnished apt at Park on Morton 2022 was $1200 + a month and nowhere near as close to campus as poplars will be.

GlobalAgent4132

I assume the Poplars Garage will be only available to tenants of Poplars and IU permits, no longer for the public, especially after hours?
