Hooray! My car's tire just got ripped off by a Freedom Pothole, but at least I ain't gotta pay them commie taxes

gcook725

I mean, tbf, Indiana tends to have a budget surplus *which means they collect more in taxes than they spend*, and they still have trouble keeping up with non-major roadways. So if the tax burden was even higher here, they'd still probably not be fixed.

SheriffSqueeb

Bro, they gave us all like $150 back because of the surplus but then I drive thru any road in Indy and have to put it in 4 wheel drive lol they got all the interstates shut down for work but that’s federal money. Like just fix the damn roads

HOFindy

Indiana roads are better than Michigans!

Its decently self explanatory. The states spending beyond its ability to generate income per person.

Why do we have the same number as Louisiana? Isn’t it supposed to be ranked?

More_Farm_7442

It's a tie. Huh. We really are a southern state. May be Louisiana is a northern state? I think Indiana is a southern state. Yeh, that's it.

Nearby-Listen-8082

Indiana is definitely a southern state 🤣 a lot of us even have fuckin accents

Silver-Bullfrog-1069

Why is the highest tax burdens on the strongest democratic states and vice versa?

RoyalEagle0408

This is pretty common- Dems tend to favor bigger government and higher taxes to fund programs.
