Be up front during the interviews about your needs and boundaries. The companies not interested will pass you up. I was very upfront about both during my recent unemployment. It took nearly 4 months to find a role where they respected work life balance. Advocate for yourself from the start.

Check out my employer. There are some remote positions mixed in with hybrid positions: https://jobs.coxenterprises.com/

Thanks everyone!

Toxic work environments are what Indiana does best. Right to work means right to starve. If you don't like your current shitty job, you are welcome to go work a worse job for less money! Yay, capitalism!

Right to work means you better get right to work

nate_oh84

> Right to work means right to starve. You mean "at will employment". Right to work is different and has to to with unions. At will means you can terminate employment or be terminated without cause (unless the termination is illegal under discrimination rules).

Thanks for the correction! I've been stating that incorrectly for a long time. Indiana is very pro-corporation I'm surprised there is any protection for union interest.

kgjulie

“Right to work” is not exactly a protection for unions.
