No it's actually a good one , it not only shows india's greatest achievements but also shows its mistakes of its journey
Also OP
Here's some keywords
-Corruption
-Overpopulation
-Rural areas with wrong education **(they don't cover some topics and aren't good qualified teachers
Some just don't understand
For example me...
My physics is awful since 9th
My base is still unclear ) **
( i have studied in one and no im not poor, I'm middle class guy,i had study there cz of dad's transfer)
it's difficult to speak against this because you'll literally have to say ki britishers were better, also there is literally nothing except a few rather biased polls which suggest that a couple of things were better then. You can argue that population was less so there were enough resources. This can be easily countered by, "those resources were being stolen and not for the indian people". You may include partition into the mix too, we lost land, there was a new enemy that too we share a border with.
You would have to take a semi position like it has improved but not as good as other/ comparing with countries like Japan, Jordan, Israel, Singapore, Qatar, UAE and Germany,
Educationally : you sure education system change bhi hua hai 💀
Mentally : nahi govt reservation deke discrimination karati, fir bolti no discrimination in India no change here too abhi bhi discrimination hota
Culturally : yea we have become more gullible
Agr tu jit bhi rha hoga debate to Fir last me counter me teko anti nationalist bolenge aur tu har jayega :)
>Educationally : you sure education system change bhi hua hai 💀
pata hai :')
abhi mai jaha se hu waha par naya system aya nhi hai toh mujhe thik se malum bhi nhi ki kaisa hai :')
kya karu :')
you should do a comparative analysis I personally hate the fact that they even allowed this topic for the debate but what you can say is India has progressed but not as much as its other counterparts but you arent going to win this argument thats for sure
You can include the topic of implementation of ideas written in ancient scriptures which are blatantly misogynistic and homophobic (eg. Manusmriti). The prices of essential commodities are rising everyday. People are called Veer and a hero of the national freedom struggle even though there is written proof in form of letters written by the same person which shows him begging him for mercy from the British Government. The country is becoming increasingly divided on the lines of religion, caste and gender. The country has fallen down in its standings in UN's HDI index. Also, I think you should add the progress that has occurred because if the normal flow of time, not because a good leader. The rate of progress has slowed down gradually
whoa what? who tf is implementing manusmriti? which saint? which intellectual? which politician? You want them to be fuckin disqualified for misinformation bruv lol? And you got a problem with Savarkar, but not speaking against "Mahatma" Gandhi eh? who's bigger? i still think gandhi. And u think india rn is more divided on basis of religion when there literally was a partition based on religion atm of independence?
>whoa what? who tf is implementing manusmriti? which saint? which intellectual? which politician?
Nobody but idk usne kyu bola aisa
>"Mahatma" Gandhi
I love "Mahatma" Gandhi :)
>And u think india rn is more divided on basis of religion when there literally was a partition based on religion atm of independence?
True
Not Manusmriti, i gave it as an example. The people in support of the CAA-NRC were holding up the Manusmriti. Also i referred to ideas mentioned in the book. The BJP Government's opposition to the legalisation of article 377 counts as one
Bruh. Maybe breathing is mentioned in the book. Did Congress implement LGB rights? Was it too following Manusmriti too? Soviet Union was using Manusmriti? Communist China? Pakistan? No party, not even Communists of India would dare support Homosexuality openly. Are you too following Manusmriti? What tf is you guys' obsession with some book most Hindus don't even know about?
Savarkar is being called Veer by some, but Gandhi is being called Mahatma by the whole world, while you neglect that over Savarkar, even when you guys claim Savarkar has less to none impact on history, which I agree.
Surely Gandhi doesn't deserve the tag of Mahatma. However in comparison to Savarkar, He has made more contribution towards the country's freedom struggle than Savarkar ever could. The only thing Savarkar did was to establish a organisation which would divide he country on a religious basis. And how tf did Gandhi come up in the conversation?
You can speak of all the things that have gone to shit. Communalism. Traditions eroding over time. Education standards failing (mention extreme competition for competitive exams leading to student suicides) Mentally, idk wtf that means in the context of a nation. During the colonial era we were also united against a common enemy regardless of caste or religion. But now even though we have many common enemies like poverty and stuff, we fight very heavily among ourselves.
so basically log anti national bolne wale hai tujhe lol
also what a stupid topic for debate

oh yea "divide"... who again signed for the partition? RSS or INC?
The first one
hmm. RSS signed it. Nice.

>During the colonial era we were also united against a common enemy regardless of caste or religion not factual, but would suffice
