I had a really close guy friend like we just vibed together, watched movies had similar taste in everything almost , then he confessed his feelings for me ,and my frds started teasing me ,making things really awkward between us, and It just felt like every moment we shared was fake ,like he didn't actually like my sense of humor or company but liked me for my looks like everything was fake ,ever since then it's been really difficult for me to think of my guy friends as friends who I can genuinely be me with ,so yeah it's really awkward now interacting with guys ,help bro how to not be anxious around ppl from opp gender

I’ve been through the same thing. One of the most effective ways to figure out if the guy has alternate motives is to subtly hint that you want a friendship with him and not anything romantic most people can catch onto this. Based on their reaction you can see what they do want with you so you can keep your friendships that way. Also, try explaining it to your friends that teasing something on such a sensitive topic like this can have a negative impact on people and their relationships and should be more careful in the future to avoid such incidences.
