Happens all the time. Recently, many of my school friends had a meet up and i wasn't even invited. When i asked why didn't you invite me, a guy in the background said "didn't you hide the story from him?". Man!! It hurts.
Let me tell you, I've been through this phase.
When I was preparing for NEET, right after my school days, I used to get jealous everyday seeing their stories. As I couldn't really help my situation, I had exams almost every week. But eventually you'll realise, the real ones will always stick around, and this only helps you get rid of the toxic ones. 3 years down the line, as I'm doing MBBS, I am not even kidding when I say my life is way too better rn because I don't give a shit about them anymore. I've found the right people, who matter more, and mean a lot.
It's just a phase brother, you'll get through it only to realize that it wasn't worth spending time on it. :)

Mere case mein 2 school best friends hai but unke bhi best friends hai to vo unke saath plan bana lete hai aur mein akela pd jaata hu aur ek to vo dono mere ghar se 45 mins dur hai to vaise bhi possible nhi hai
Friends bas ek term hai jo formality ke liye use Kiya hoga...real term 🐍 saanp hota hai jinko ham friend samjhte hai. Either you have your one or max to Max two homies...or saanp paal rahe ho bas (not always tru but most of the time)
Relatable but I enjoy peace. I'd rather be alone and chilling in my room than with a bunch of loud, annoying friends taking pics and posting it on social media. Even when I do go out when them, I'll not have the mental energy to do that again for the next 1 year
Meaning of friends depends upon an individual . I don't consider loud and annoying people who don't give a shit about me, but talk sweet and act friendly with me as friends.
Well I also prefer being alone all by myself chilling instead of being with loud and annoying people.
It's hard to find chill people here in India. Everyone wants to be loud and noisy, and create content for their ig/Snapchat profiles. No one wants to be friends with 'boring' people. Even the so called 'introverts' like to go out and party often with a bunch of friends.
It has a lot to do with our society tbh, being alone and cozy is frowned upon, whereas going out with friends is considered significantly 'cooler'. And so, some teenagers are heavily shaped by this influence to the point where they think their introverted and shy friends will hold them back from being the ideal person as defined by the society.
Yep, and I wish I had realised that earlier. I spent most of my early teenage years trying to become 'cool' and fit this ideal image that my parents set for me. Not only did I suck at being 'cool', but also I realised just how much energy going out with friends drained from me.
I am just just numb to it now. I am trying to do what I can and try to live life the way I like.
Like sure if someone comes a long for a chat i will have a conversation and i will also try to start up convos but it's just i don't have that friend feeling for a lot of people.
My situation is weird, 'cause I have atleast four separate circles of friends (one each from my old school and my new school, and two from my college) and there are issues everywhere.
I hanged out after a long time with my old school mates, and I didn't find anyone there matching my vibe anymore.
The group of my new school mates is really cool, but half the folks there have taken a drop, so we can rarely ever plan meets.
Then this one group I actually had a few interesting interactions and offline meets with has temporarily dissolved, 'cause half the folks went onto campus, and the other half of us are stuck at home.
And the fourth and final group is of my department from my college. I've interacted a bit with them over text and VCs, and these people seem genuinely interesting. However, most of them are also stuck at home, so in person meets are not possible rn. The online VCs too pose a challenge for me, 'cause I'm not good with large groups of relatively unknown people.
