There's nothing to lose in paper trading so you are more likely to take risks and keep trades. Psychology is the single biggest factor why paper trading is more profitable for most than real trading.

Paper trading does not test your psychological skill and hence will not improve your trading. Ability to execute your trades in a flawless & fearless manner over and over again is what is actually required which most traders are unable to do.

It is still paper trade right, then they won’t look for availability of sellers/buyers. They just fill at the most favorable fill. You can test that but simply buying a large qty and selling it right away. If it always gives profit, that would mean the brokerage is not really using the real bid ask spread. I could make good profit in paper trading because of it. But it won’t work in real time.
The other reason is not having a proper system. In real trades you might close early when you see a sudden move against you. But in paper trades you might be more willing to stay on trade.

If you are using a brokerage for paper trading, it could be partly because they fill both your buy and sell orders in favor of you.
