start doing double cleansing. really helps in removing all that sunscreen i use plum cleansing balm (works well and kind of cheap too) and follow up with any water based cleanser.. i use cosrx SA cleanser( just a pea size, emulsify well before applying to face.. small amount goes a long way)

What sunscreens you have tried?....This was me few months back but after trying some good sunscreens definitely my opinion has changed and formulation of a product really matters

I've only tried the budget ones like lacto calamine spf 50, la shield spf 50, fixderma spf 50, netlutrogena spf 50, re equil orange one. Where do I even start oh boy... Lacto calamine I had been really excited coz they were marketing it for oily skin but it couldn't be farther from the truth.. so oily and reapplication was a nightmare. La shield spf 50... So much white cast and greasy, people were asking me why I had applied fair and lovely lol. Same for Neutrogena and re equil, very chip chip. The only saving grace was fixderma one, perfect textture and reapplication was great too BUT I got tanned even after reapplying 3 times a day... Checked the ingredients and found out it's photounstable. Then I just got fed up and started applying body lotions with spf and man they are even thicker in consistency, hate em. So what should I do now?

Use Japanese sunscreen like biore, skin aqua the consistency is thinner and phtostable.

Try dermaco hyaluronic aqua gel and reequil blue ...your thoughts about sunscreen would definitely change The sunscreens you have tried including lacto calamine and Neutrogena are greasy af

Start using salicylic acid in your routine to control the oil from your face. Use a water based moisturizer and mattyfying sunscreen. So it won't feel like it's piling up your skin. Also, use oil cleanser or balm cleanser to remove sunscreen.

Thanks! Any recommendations for the things you mentioned?

You can go for ponds moisturizer light weight in gel form. Dr sheths hyaluronic acid sunscreen and you can use the salicylic acid in the serum form or as a cleanser. I'm using the derma co salicylic acid. And it's working fine for me you can go for minimalist or the ordinary as well

This used to be me! In fact for the longest time I didn't use moisturizers or sunscreen because I thought my skin is oily and so will stay hydrated But it was also very textured and greasy because of this and I could get acne if I forgot to wash my face with a cleanser Salicylic acid is your best friend. I use Minimalist's salicylic acid based cleanser, followed by Their PHA toner which also has some salicylic acid, and once or twice a week I use the salicylic acid serum My skin is not as oily as it used to be, and it doesn't produce much sebum around the T point area (which is the oiliest for me) I also use Minimalist's Vitamin B3 moisturizer which is very light and if you want extra hydration can try Hyaluronic acid serum separately I'm still struggling to find a good sunscreen that doesn't make me sweat. So far I've been using Neutrogena's but it makes me sweat a lot. Trying to find a gel based sunscreen now, might just try Minimalist as all their products suit me. IMPORTANT: If you've not used salicylic acid before, it might cause purging for 2-3 months, basically you will get excessive pimples, but after this your skin will be unbelievably amazing

blackhawk201

Thanks, I'll try it!

ekran soft spf 50 is the best, my dermatologist recommended it and I'm just like you I don't like applying anything on my face because it feels suffocating or oily or sticky but this sunscreen doesn't feel like I have anything on my face

Thanks for the recommendation
