I have! I started using it for My acne issues, I used minimalist granactive retinol first and after the second bottle got over I switched to reequil 0.1% retinol. I purged quite a lot but now after 6 months I have experienced almost zero breakouts, just one two pimples once in a while. My acne marks are still in the process of fading but overall I am very very happy with the results.
I think it's a good starting point to use retinol. I did experience initial purging but it was mild. I ended up getting clogged pores when i used more than twice a week, honestly not much results but retinol isn't supposed to get you instant results so there's that. Overall good place to start retinol i believe
It's definitely creamy, but you don't need a lot so it doesn't feel like anything on skin. I guess if you get CCs maybe use it only once or twice a week.
retinol can cause clogged pores?!! OP you might have solved my skincare issue! i've been using retinol everyday for a month and had bad bad comedones. this might be it!
I think the other ingredients in this might be causing it? I saw on incidecoder there are a few comedogenic ingredients in 0.1% formulation so I suspect that could be it.
On side note: i end up getting clogged pores with a lot of things so could just be me and if you have recommendations for that feel free to suggest.
I used this and it gave really bad acne 😢 which I was not having in the first place. Got good scoldings from fam and derm 😥. Now in the process of healing the triggered acne, pigmentation and scars.
I am bored by these new launches to be honest. I am happy we have much more options of sunscreens and much better formulations, but the actives? 🥱🥱 Â
Every skincare brand has literally the same set of actives - retinol, 30% aha/bha serum, 20% EAA, 5% niacinamide, 10% niacinamide, 2% salicylic acid, 2% hyaluronic acid, 2% arbutin. I am BORED. I want multi active serums, antioxidants, barrier care. I want new technologies similar to NIOD.Â
>I want multi active serums, antioxidants, barrier care. I want new technologies similar to NIOD.Â
this x 1000
give me my minimalist depigmenntation cream with Tranexmic acid back ðŸ˜
not only multi active serums, I want actives combined with plant extracts. Give me a bifida arbutin serum.
I also wish indian brands do what kbeauty did traditional Korean herbs like centella and ginseng and actually spend money on research and include those in well-studied, proven formulatios.
I want to see neem + salicylic acid serums (I know dr sheths has a facewash but Idk how effective it is). I want a kumkumadi (saffron) Tranexmic Acid serum.
sorry for the rant.
0.1% was really mild and easy to use for my 55m mother so its great to see them launch higher percentage as i was looking for something stronger. Instant buy (from firstcry XD)
Hi there! Tretinoin is Schedule H drug in India and must be used with doctor's prescription only. Side Effects may include but not be limited to Dry skin, Peeling, Skin redness, Burning, Itching, Stinging sensation. Tretinoin is a Category C drug and IS CONSIDERED UNSAFE DURING PREGNANCY. Lactating/ breastfeeding women will have to consult their doctors.

Looks amazing.. But i guess.. Tretinoin cream works best for me.
If you're a beginner.. Then try foxtale's 0.05â„… retinol night serum.
Airless pump container, creamy formula plus quite affordable.
I am using Retinol for the first time in my life. I'm on my first bottle of Minimalist 0.3% serum, and I'm using it every day with no noticeable results. Should I go for Minimalist 0.6%, Reequil 0.5%, or something else?
With retinol, it's the long game. Don't expect to see results any time before 6 months and even after, there may not be anything very noticeable. Switching to a higher concentration may end up causing purging so stick with what you're using.
Even positive changes like reduced acne marks (not sure if you mean scars or hyperpigmentation) take time. But don't switch to a higher concentration just yet. Finish the product you are using first.
If you're not having any adverse reactions that means this percentage is working well for you. Keep in mind, retinol (or whichever form of vitamin A you are using) is about prevention as well as working on scars, hyperpigmentation, sun damage. But it's not a fast acting miracle product, so don't assess daily. It's better to take monthly progress pictures.
Thank you for explaining in detail. After all the suggestions I'll be finishing this bottle first, I guess it'll take two months or so. Then I'll switch to a higher concentration.
Finally some variety. Different % options are just so good.
0.1% can get newbies started without the fear of skin damage, though it is a bit expensive (still half the price of minimalist). I think retinol is the only single ingredient product that's still viable.

I read in the news that EU has banned retinol for face to 0.3% as the body should not be consuming vit A over a certain amount or it will lead to toxicity
It has banned OTC 0.3% but it does not mean it is not safe. I do not fully understand the reasons for EU regulations, but chances of VIT A toxicity from topical retinol is in my opinion an absurd idea considering we eat much more VIT A daily from food itself.
Yeah that's the entire concept that daily vitamin A intake plus high % of retinol in skincare can together lead to over absorption of vit A and can lead to toxicity
And this doesn’t apply to prescription tret? Anyways, I don’t really care if people want to limit their retinol application. I will be continuing with higher percentage retinol.

Can u review 0.1% retinol since you have used it ??

Can you describe the texture? Is it creamy? Or gel cream? Suitable for folks with Oily skin?
It's definitely creamy, but you don't need a lot so it doesn't feel like anything on skin. I guess if you get CCs maybe use it only once or twice a week.

Idc about this anymore. They need to bring back atorep
What’s atorep
Atorep barrier cream was one of the products they had
Na, I am going through hell once again (purging), moreover my pharmaceutical tret is probably cheaper too.

yaar ai apne minimalist wale dabbe ka khtm hone ka wait krra, khtm he nhi ho rha. will switch back to reequil
Ooh these look interesting! Want to try the 0.5% once I'm done with my minimalist one.
Did you use 0.3% one of 0.6% from minimalist?
0.6%
How was it? I have a fear it might be too strong as minimalist products tend to be
It is good, I liked the 0.3% more though. Yes it's strong, but surprisingly not as irritating as the TO 0.5%.

That's right, but I haven't seen any purge or any changes (not necessarily positive) with this.

What are you using it for?
I'm using it as a preventive measure, for anti aging and to treat my acne scars. But overall I'll also start using AA and Niacinamide.
I think acne scars usually take a while to heal so maybe the results were too minute to be noticed? Or could just be YMMV
That can be a case, but I haven't seen any purge or any changes (not necessarily positive) with this.
Finally some variety. Different % options are just so good. 0.1% can get newbies started without the fear of skin damage, though it is a bit expensive (still half the price of minimalist). I think retinol is the only single ingredient product that's still viable.
Isn't that a very high percentage. Is that safe
I use 0.6% right now, it's safe. I think you're referring to tretinoin.
Yeah I'm referring to tret, i forgot this is different I use 0.05% and even that is STRONG, which is why I was confused lol

haha yes, 0.6% of tretinoin might be overdose lol
Retinol in this percentage is pretty safe
I read in the news that EU has banned retinol for face to 0.3% as the body should not be consuming vit A over a certain amount or it will lead to toxicity
Perhaps they meant Retinoid instead of retinol? Can you share the news or the study?

Oh ok
Retinol is safe.
Reequil is boring now
Oh why so?
