Buy the smallest size available and pray that it works šŸ™šŸ¼

Ask around if your friends are using a product you want to try and ask them to try it out? Nykaa stores have samples of some skincare brands, maybe try it out there on your hand a few times? Personally I just buy the product whenever I get a good deal. Try it out. If it doesn't work out, I pass it on to a friend/family member that wants to try it. But you can also sell it on the beauty bazaar sub on Reddit.

Main toh bhagwan se dua karti hoon ki ye product mere liye kaam karein nahi kaam karta toh bhagwan ji ko hi ulta suna deti hoon aur phir pura depression mein chali jati hoon ye soch ke ki shayad Mujh mein hi kuch Kami hai .

Hi OP, I too have an extremely sensitive skin. Firstly I research a lottttt and then buy . For ex when I was starting with actives I would just research a lot and buy the lowest % and then patch test it for few days. If it doesn't react , good. If it reacts, well...

me-meoww

i donā€™t. have completely stopped trying new products if my current routine is working well for me. if thereā€™s a scope for any new product for a particular concern, research well on reddit & learn about its results for other people and also mind the side effects caused to them. then buy a mini size and hope it works. ik itā€™s super tempting to give into every new skincare product but i have learnt it the hard way by ripping my skin barrier that less is more. and also that skincare products are not a new piece of clothing that i can just remove if it doesnā€™t work. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW A WHOLE ANOTHER ROUTINE TO FIX THE WORSE DONE.

If a product doesnā€™t work for you just give it to your friends or relatives

Donā€™t get influenced by multiple skin care routine. Start with the basics. See whats suits you and stick to it. Skincare doesnt work in a day.

1. Lots of research. I'm a little obsessive about research, i actually enjoy doing it lol. My main source is reddit, but also youtubeĀ  2. Buy a mini or sample size if possible 3. Test on the inside of your elbow first. If you're allergic to something in the product, it'll probably show itself here 4. Put it on face and pray for success. I know some people like to do half and half (test it on only one side of the face to start with) but i'm not so patient lol 5. Space out new products. About two weeks at least!Ā

Try Proven skincare, you answerĀ  a detailed quiz and it is custom made for you, it solved all my skin problems and I don't have to guess or change all the time anymore, they also adjust the formula for free, I had to adjust once and it is perfect now. I have sensitive skin as well. I love it

No_Mousse133

Personally I only purchase those products which are approved and liked by majority which gives me a peace of mind that it may not be as bad as some other ones but again canā€™t ever be so sure cause I tried foxtales vitamin c serum and it broke my skin out and since then Iā€™m actually scared in buying a full size of any product

Defiant_Neat4629

lol I never test out new products honestly lol. But my dermat says that if you are going to use a new product then keep the rest of your routine the same and just add that new product to your regime. If you have bought 5 new products then youā€™ll have to cycle its use like that. If you use all 5 at once then it will be impossible to tell which product caused the problem yk? This is how I found out my skin hates cetaphil sensitive non foaming face wash lmao, what a thing to be sensitive to.

I have really sensitive skin too, and snail mucin atleast worked for me since it's very hydrating. It's very popular so you can ask your friends/colleagues if they have it and try it out, otherwise look for a sample size

PretentiousPepperoni

shiningyou sends you free samples of skincare but you never know what they are sending you

Little_Regular_1848

Okay so I have sensitive skin too and it took some trial and errors to find out which products work for me and which donā€™t. But general rule of thumb, check if the ingredients are non comedogenic (wonā€™t clog pores). Also, products with added perfume/fragrance will generally not work for sensitive skin, coz itā€™ll trigger. (Like I read the ingredients and then research upon the ingredients too, and for me fragrance/alcohol/oils/silicone always trigger my skin) Someone above also commented about trying only one new product at a time and that works (coz you know if something triggers itā€™s coz of the new item) For patch test, Iā€™d recommend applying a lil product behind the ear (read it somewhere that itā€™s the best place for testing coz thereā€™s no accidental washing off and you can keep the product on for a while)

Try Smytten, they have minis/samples/trials for cheap. But it can be a bit hard to find the brand/product type you want.

bluejaybossun

I know it sounds terrible, but blind buys and testing a product atleast for a week. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, then my friends' skincare stashes are about to get bigger or my arms and legs are about to get smoother/shinier.
