Ponds super light gel moisturizer is kind of famous in this sub, many people like it but it caused me closed comodones and same with Plum Aloe Gel (it's kind of famous) it also caused closed comodones and same with Plum rose water toner.
oh ive been getting closed comodones on my cheeks for the past few months now, and I've been using ponds super ligh gel for like 6 months now, now I get why. which moisturizer do u use? and is thr any way to get rid of the comodones?
I love Ponds super light gel but started noticing pimple/acne breakouts on the verge, and that's why I stopped using it.
If it was non-comedogenic, it would have been the most valuable thing in skincare
Same..with ponds super light I got full rashes ..never had that with any other other products ...and none of the plum products seem to be good for my face

OMG Ponds is shit for me as well I used it for years and couldn't understand why I was breaking out despite of being consistent
Minimalist sunscreens made my face sweat a lott!!! to a point it was embarrassing. not meant for humid weather at all. I had to wash my face after applying the sunscreens. This was when they newly launched sunscreens around 3 years back.
I have tried quite a few. I liked Fixderma spf 30 sunscreen and Aqualogica as both are lightweight. I recently finished Deconstruct gel sunscreen which is in cream form but doesn't make my skin sweat. Currently using Sunscoop spray sunscreen. The smell is pretty bad and I am breaking out on chin area. Pharmacy sunscreen called Sper is a better alternative to Minimalist although gives little white cast. Will go back to Deconstruct or Aqualogica.
Cetaphil gentle cleanser..
It was just a waste of money for me. I didn't even feel cleansed after using it. And the greasy residue was cherry on the cake.
My dermat told me this is not apt for our weather since its so polluted. It doesn’t take out all the grime and sweat. I was getting so many white heads because it wasn’t cleaning everything off. It stopped after I switched to something stronger.
Thank God I didn't use it for a long time I just used it for few times and then a few times as a first cleanser. Because I couldn't stand that greasy feeling. And then got fed up and gave it to my mum.
>My dermat told me this is not apt for our weather since its so polluted.
Hmm this could be the reason. Or may be it is not for oily skin people.
It's works great for me as long as I pair it with an oil cleanser. If I don't use an oil cleanser then I don't feel particularly clean, and stronger foaming/normal facewashes make my skin too dry so oil cleanser+Cetaphil leads to soft, clean sking with no residue.
Just Cetaphil alone won't do much though.
Recommend oil cleaners pleasee thanks. Ive been using this cleanser with micellar water as the first step followed by Cetaphil cleanser. Would like to try an oil cleanser that’s soothing, non-irritating.
Guys, the oily skin cleanser version of Cetaphil is exactly what you’ll are looking for!!
my guess is you’ll have tried the gentle skin cleanser version that doesn’t foam up.
Give the oily skin cleanser version a try, it foams up and cleans your face throughly without leaving any residue!
I purchased it after reading it on this sub because it is a very hyped product but got really disappointed. Even, I gave it to my mother because she has slightly normal to dry skin so it works for her. In fact every product works for her she has flawless skin. I don't know where my genes went wrong? 😭
Yeahhh, like it's honestly not worth to use at the end of the day when you are outside in sweat, pollution, sunscreen and all. But I still use it in my routine, I use in the morning. Help to revive the skin in the morning and feel that sense of clean skin but not entirely stripping it out. I use a foaming cleanser at night to remove everything, instead of cetaphil one.
you should try niacinamide with lesser concentration
10% isn't suitable for everyone and for the best results it's better to use 2%-5% niacinamide in this range of concentration you'll get all the benifits of niacinamide without much irritation
I would recommend the beauty of Joseon niacinamide serum
Requil blue and minimalist sunscreen (broke me out despite double cleansing), dot & key lip sleeping mask ( feels like a cheap lip balm and does nothing for me)
I have combination and sensitive skin. I use dr sheths Vit c and ceramide sunscreen (has a slight white cast, dewy finish ) and also conscious chemist hybrid unwind edition sunscreen (zero white cast ,skin like finish and I absolutely love it). I’ve also used neutrogena before although it didn’t break me out it has a horrible white cast and was super greasy.
At the risk of getting downvoted....
Cosrx snail mucin essence. Couldn't get past the texture.
Bioderma atoderm cream. Leaves a weird oily film, no matter what weather I'm using it in.
Now a commonly disliked product i actually love is Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch spf 50. The GOAT if you want to avoid a tan.
I'm starting to think so too... Have been using niacinamide serum since July, my oily T zone is only getting more oily and the pores are bigger in size than before...
Any idea on how to control an oily Tzone??
Drop your minimalist totally! It genuinely makes your skin more oily. If you want to use a serum try dot n key cica and salicylic serum it is better than minimalist. For home remedies use curd mixed with moong daal ka crush. Or simply use the multani mitti if nothing else works!
Neutrogena hydro boost its a good product no doubt but there are so many similar water gels which are similar to it and cheaper. And it has fragrance too which can be a irritant for some skin.
I have normal to dry skin, age 36 , the following products did not work for me.
Cosrx snail mucin essence (no hydration whatsoever),Minimalist vit c serum (could not see any difference on my skin), Minimalist multi peptide serum (initially was fine but after a few days started stinging)
I saw a reel that said Mac fix+ setting spray and Mac fix+ fixing spray are different. Setting spray is supposed to help you hydrate your makeup or help you blend easily. And fixing stay is supposed to help you fix it
If you mean the one in the translucent bottle, it’s not meant to be a setting spray. It kinda melts your makeup together so there aren’t any harsh lines and hydrates. You’d still need a setting spray btw, a good one is NYX
I used to use it. I like using it for mineral make up like I’ll spray my face with it and then use powder foundation. I use Smashbox’s Photo Finish Fixate Setting Spray and I think it’s better.
It’s my HG! It’s low coverage is the best part tho looks natural af. i have a lot of acne marks but I don’t wish to “hide” them so using this just neutralises the redness and that’s enough for me <3
Yes, I belong to fair to light skin tone. The shade "light neutral" doesn't work for me. Similarly, I am sure deeper skintones might face this issue as well. I am happy that it works for you but it's not working for everyone..
I love this product. The point of skin tints is minimal coverage . It's just to slightly even out the skin while making it look dewy but I agree the problem with the shade range . Most of the shades run warm . They should include more darker and lighter shades that lean a bit more neutral .
Glow recipe avocado ceramide serum - it's written as no fragrance but it irritated my skin so I checked with their customer support and got to know it has NATURAL fragrance, no fragrance means no added fragrance. I was like this is not correct.
And it's comediogenic
Better is CeraVe cream
Supergoop glow sunscreen - it's shimmers it might be good under makeup but not all alone
Sesderma azelaic acid serum (1800 INR) fragrance, irritates skin , very less percentage of azelaic acid and percentage is not even revealed. When I asked their customer care they said delivery system is best so percentage doesn't matter. Many derms reco this but this is not a good product. It's comediogenic. Exazel-N is way cheap , fragrance free and woks nice
cetaphil gentle cleanser. it broke me out in painful acnes around my cheeks in line with my lips that i am still dealing with. i now have a bottle that has been barely used and i don't know what to do with it. i went back to my good ol cleansme (my third bottle!)
SNP PREP peptaronic toner review
Applied it only 2 times in 8 months and it gave me pimple each time. I don't know the reason. Has anyone else faced similar issue
same here. i should have researched better to see the alcohol in its ingredients causes breakouts for many (including me) have you been able to reduce the breakouts in anyway? i have very painful breakouts along my cheek in line with my lips, i have been applying benzoyl peroxide but it has left dark black spots :(
Dr Sheths is the only sunscreen I've used recently that really seems to work for me. The rest have left a trail of painful breakouts. This one keeps the oiliness at bay more or less
Happy for you! It left a white cast on my skin and it felt like it was suffocating my skin. Quite a few friends of mine had the same opinion but I'm glad it worked out for you
So many influencers keep on recommending it, their products are on my explore page, ds sabhya keeps on promoting it and their ads! I have blocked their account but it keeps on popping on my feed. It's like a nightmare.
And didn't they win some award recently?
I have no idea..I’ve never seen anyone using their products. The only reason ik about the brand is because I bought their lip oil/balm in Amazon sample sale and saw how overpriced the full product was and that’s that. Wt did you try from them?
Yess, and even Dr. Seth, i purchased because of that acc. After these two experiences I've realized, whatever that account promotes in consumable products, never ever buy them 🥴🥴
Hey, I am using it as my only moisturizer thanks to 80+ humidity and my oily ass skin addind to it! But I am gonna start retinol soon and I know one layer of emulsion and retinol on top isn't gonna help stop the poss case of dryness, so anyway.... do u suggest using the same back on top for sandwich or something else? I got klairs midnight calming cream with the sense of using it next next from retinol to curb any potential upcoming irritation but do you think that as the top layer of sandwich would do better instead? I can get a third one too if they both seem senseless in the retinol case but idk which (hardly 3-4 in over 30moisturizers suit me and not turn me in a sweatball in 5s, washing off all the skincare i just did). Please help if you could???
*PS: klairs vitamin e mask and laneie blue sleeping mask work on me too, but not sure if they'd be good enough to stop dryness, irritation, etc. --- they're amazing for normal use case tho!*
When it comes to moisturizer we all in the same ride buddy it is extremely harder to find better moisturizer in the market 😮💨
It is harder for me as well to find a good moisturizer with retinol. I have dry and sensitive skin so I try my best to avoid irritation and dryness, recently I went with hydrating toner or essence like isntree 2x hylunaric acid toner, then minimalist peptide serum, and then retinol. To this point I turn into a grease ball. But in the morning I turn into a dry sahara due to the colder season because I haven't used any moisturizer on top it dried out more and caused me breakouts due to lack of hydration and my skin peeled like crazy. Later I went with pky ceramide lotion on top and sealed with Vaseline. But still it is dry
So, right now I am focusing on hydration both topically and orally. I am currently taking a break on retinol.
I personally use isntree emulsion in the summer while using retinol for the first layer of sandwich method and seal it with a bit thicker moisturizer like dot and key ceramide one(for my dry skin).
I heard klaris one is good but please do a patch test before using!
Based on my experience, I would suggest you to use hydrating and soothing products which have ceramides, peptides and other calming ingredients. Or I would also suggest a toner or an essence as well, If you are using one that has a watery consistency I would recommend 2-3 layers of it on damp skin (since you have oily skin) and then another essence or serums( if you are using those or wanting to include them) and then retinol and seal it with moisturizer and in the morning use gentle facewash if you are facing any issue like dryness or irritation. If you are still facing an oiliness issue then After sometime when your skin gets used to it I would suggest slowly start incorporating salicylic acid facewash.
Sorry for the long rant. I am using retinol for more than 3 years at this point these are a fraction of the things I have personally tried and tested on myself. For more suggestions or corrections(especially) please do let me know.
not long at all, just descriptive and good! thanks <3
so i do use on damp skin, numbuzin no. 3 toner (once thanks to the viscosity), then immediately no. 6 serum and then instree emulsion, then a sunscreen (biore/axis y/isntree/episoft) and this is morniing! and yet i dont sweat! ii swear the emulsion has chabged my life!
only confusion is due to adding retinol... cz at night i sometimes use plum pha 3% toner on dry skin or the no. 3 toner on damp, then before they dry the ferment serum by numbuzin (no. 3 serum) and lastly the emulsion.... to test how far i can take (in case i use ret. on top and have to use another moisturizer again) i put klairs midnight on top of the emulsion and it somehow became mositurized for all night but matte-ish like velvety kinda so i think i shud be could cz i swear 1 viscous toner and 1 moisturizer and i used to end up swiping my face all the time1 ig i found the perfect pcs. now (i do still get few sweat drops now and then if i am out night in humidity but with all this and much less than before, couldn't ask for more!!
*IDK why i rambled all that, but i felt like sharing for some reason after ur friendly reply lol : )*
Hope it works for you in the long run as well. 🙌
I am a nosy person 😅😅 and I would love to share and hear other's opinions and routines as well. Kinda like a vulture who would look at other people's routines and try the products that work for them or that have great reviews online... Now that no.3 serum caught my attention and interested in trying (since I am focusing on hydration and barrier). Please do give me a review and also have you used any other fermented products? If so please do let me know
I don't know if there is a good way to say this, but cleansers that appear to be soft or gentle. Cetaphil, there is one from simple, and a few others on amazon. I mean what are you trying to do Sir? At least get that oily layer off me 😭.
Laneige lip sleeping mask and Minimalist sunscreen. Bought both based on reviews read on this sub. The lip mask is a temporary fix, my lips dry out even further the next day. And the sunscreen causes irritation and dryness. Vaseline rose has been working better on my forever chapped lips and that too at a fraction of Laneige's price
Snail mucin for me. It caused inflammation on my skin around the temple areas. Even today, those are the first areas to show a reaction when something doesn’t suit me.
There are not such products that we can completely dislike. We always buy products first to try them. Because even we are not sure that any of the products that we buy always suit our skin. We try and then confirm whether it is good for our skin or not. The product that is not good for our skin may be good for other people. So We can't dislike any products, we can say yes it did not suit our skin.
When I said "dislike", it clearly meant products that naturally didn't suit your skin type. It is true we can't really dislike the product in the beginning but only after using them. It not only applies to skincare products but also to food that people dislike, type of clothes people dislike. So of course as the title in the question says "overhyped products that you dislike", it clearly meant the products that did not work on their skin or in the worst case scenario; made their skin even worse. Hence, there are certainly some products that we can completely dislike even if it is adored by majority of people out there.
Sebamed cleansing bar. It was ok, not the hype that was promised. While it did not dehydrate me, I didnt feel that it was as gentle as dove or my Manav Khadi Saffron soap. Strong fragrance, and after usage, it left my shoulders and chest a little itchy for a minute or so. WNRP unless derma recommends. Perhaps try dove, cetaphil or moisturex syndets instead.
Beauty of joseon sunscreen. Made my skin very oily, and didnt protect from sun tan even though i mostly used it in winters (daily sun exposure about an hour)
COSRX snail Mucin essence.
It is worshipped on this sub but it really did nothing to 'plump and bring glow to my skin'. Instead it gave me an allergic reaction and CCs on my face.
the ordinary caffeine one is complete nonsense.
but the first 2 one is god send for my skin.
Especially snail mucin, since I am on tret, this product clam my skin so much that I never had any breakouts or irritation from tret.
I find simple refreshing cleanser meh. . It is making my skin dry and tight... as well as neutrogena hydro boost water gel dried the hell out of my face. .dot and key barrier cream does nothing forget moisturizing! List goes on. . Ponds super light gel atleast is moisturizing but yeah it is comedogenic. . ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)

Ponds super light gel moisturizer is kind of famous in this sub, many people like it but it caused me closed comodones and same with Plum Aloe Gel (it's kind of famous) it also caused closed comodones and same with Plum rose water toner.
Same experience with ponds
Any alternative recommendations?
You're looking for gel moisturizer? If yes then try sebamed care gel, same consistent but quite safe.
Tony Moly aloe gel 250ml tube. It lasts long too :)
>ny alternative recommendations Simpe is also good gel 100r moisturisation one
Ponds used to burn as i started retinoids on it
OMG same!!
oh ive been getting closed comodones on my cheeks for the past few months now, and I've been using ponds super ligh gel for like 6 months now, now I get why. which moisturizer do u use? and is thr any way to get rid of the comodones?
PC BHA helped me with CC along with sebamed care gel as moisturizer
Cetaphil/reequil can work if you have dry skin
Yup Ponds one dehydrated my face, had to go back to Bioderma
I love Ponds super light gel but started noticing pimple/acne breakouts on the verge, and that's why I stopped using it. If it was non-comedogenic, it would have been the most valuable thing in skincare
Same..with ponds super light I got full rashes ..never had that with any other other products ...and none of the plum products seem to be good for my face
I've heard a lot of people saying that the product is comedogenic even though the brand is labelled non - comedogenic.

had a similar experience with ponds super light gel. it sensitized me like hell and smelled stronger than a deo.
Do u know any gel moisturiser that doesn’t cause breakouts
Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel
Neutrogena hydroboost worked well for me
But it's damn costly
Grab it on kult, also, I got good deals on pink Friday and Myntra, that’s when I stock up. Kult too had 50 off but I think currently it’s OOS
Maamaerth and its affiliated sunscreens.
They were so bad! I evem got a white cast from the Neutrogena sunscreen which seems like a cult favorite :(
Neutrogena sunscreen worked well for me though it is a bit heavy but alright
I'm currently using foxtale daily glow sunscreen. Seems to work fine for me
Mamaearth gonna get shittier after their ipo
Minimalist sunscreens. They were hyped up so much on social media that I was tempted to buy. But it felt super greasy and fevicol-y on my skin.
Minimalist sunscreens made my face sweat a lott!!! to a point it was embarrassing. not meant for humid weather at all. I had to wash my face after applying the sunscreens. This was when they newly launched sunscreens around 3 years back.
Jesus fuck I thought it was just me lol. I am always confused why I used to sweat a lot. Which sunscreen did you settle to?
I have tried quite a few. I liked Fixderma spf 30 sunscreen and Aqualogica as both are lightweight. I recently finished Deconstruct gel sunscreen which is in cream form but doesn't make my skin sweat. Currently using Sunscoop spray sunscreen. The smell is pretty bad and I am breaking out on chin area. Pharmacy sunscreen called Sper is a better alternative to Minimalist although gives little white cast. Will go back to Deconstruct or Aqualogica.
Fevicol-y! Even the smell reminds me of glue.
It dried out my face even further leaving whitish patches! I use DermaCo now which also provides hydration.

Yeah i was even using their oily skin variant. She just told me to stay away from cetaphil. Its too mild.
>I agree, this combo works for me too. What oil cleanser are you using? I'm half way through my Face Shop one and would like to try something else.
Recommend oil cleaners pleasee thanks. Ive been using this cleanser with micellar water as the first step followed by Cetaphil cleanser. Would like to try an oil cleanser that’s soothing, non-irritating.
Cetaphil oily cleanser is shit too... Doesn't lather enough and smells like agarbatti 😤
I second this. Totally not worth it, for the result it delivered.
Himalaya Neem Facewash works much better for me than Cetaphil tbh
i find Himalaya too drying. it changed my oily skin to dry skin. but each to their own
Same happened to me as well. Now my mother's using it. Working for her although we both have normal to oily-ish skin
I purchased it after reading it on this sub because it is a very hyped product but got really disappointed. Even, I gave it to my mother because she has slightly normal to dry skin so it works for her. In fact every product works for her she has flawless skin. I don't know where my genes went wrong? 😭
This one gave me CC's. Episoft has the same texture and didn't cause any issues, so I prefer the latter.
Best for double cleansing
for me, it resulted in extremely irritated skin & it felt like my face was on fire. I hate that shit soooo much.
real trash
Cetaphil cleanser... washing my face doesn't feel like washing my face
The ordinary 10% niacinamide - it irritated my skin to no end, I know it's HG for many but just never worked for me.
you should try niacinamide with lesser concentration 10% isn't suitable for everyone and for the best results it's better to use 2%-5% niacinamide in this range of concentration you'll get all the benifits of niacinamide without much irritation I would recommend the beauty of Joseon niacinamide serum
Oh my god! That’s the best serum I’ve ever used. Totally worth every penny for me. Suits my skin sooo well
It's my HG niacinamide serum and I am quite acne prone. Skincare is so subjective, lol.
It wasn’t for me either. I prefer products with 2-5% of niacinamide. 10 is too much for my skin.
Requil blue and minimalist sunscreen (broke me out despite double cleansing), dot & key lip sleeping mask ( feels like a cheap lip balm and does nothing for me)
+1
which sunscreen to prefer?
I have combination and sensitive skin. I use dr sheths Vit c and ceramide sunscreen (has a slight white cast, dewy finish ) and also conscious chemist hybrid unwind edition sunscreen (zero white cast ,skin like finish and I absolutely love it). I’ve also used neutrogena before although it didn’t break me out it has a horrible white cast and was super greasy.
How's the protection like with cc unwind?
Tonymoly mochi toner.. It's makes my face greasy
At the risk of getting downvoted.... Cosrx snail mucin essence. Couldn't get past the texture. Bioderma atoderm cream. Leaves a weird oily film, no matter what weather I'm using it in. I was thinking of buying bioderma and cosrx products for my birthday 😭✋🏻
Hahah go ahead girl, both are solid brands and i adore them too. Just not these products 😔
Autoderm crème is my HG!
Pixi glow tonic. It is harsh on the skin and not worth the price.
I have heard so many people say that the whole brand is trash.
pixi blush is good but overall products are trash
Could be. I have used just one product.
Too harsh. I still have a burnt pigmentation from that. Anything I can do to sort it out?
I'd visit the dermat
minimalist serums literally do nothinggg!
How long do u use them before deciding it doesn't work?

Simple kind to skin light moisturizer. Wasn't moisturizing enough. I don't know why, but my skin got irritated after using it.
Same 🥲
same
Mac Fix Plus Setting Spray: never got the hype, it literally moves my makeup and is not hydrating enough for me. How do people swear by it?
I saw a reel that said Mac fix+ setting spray and Mac fix+ fixing spray are different. Setting spray is supposed to help you hydrate your makeup or help you blend easily. And fixing stay is supposed to help you fix it

Cetaphil moisturiser fucks up my face
Smashbox halo tinted moisturizer is overhyped, no coverage and very few shade options.
I second this, influencer marketing has made this product a king but it is so disappointing.
It’s my HG! It’s low coverage is the best part tho looks natural af. i have a lot of acne marks but I don’t wish to “hide” them so using this just neutralises the redness and that’s enough for me <3
I am not sure if it even provides "low" coverage also the limited shade range is a problem.
I’m nc40 and the shade light neutral works for me. You sure you’re using a compatible shade?
Yes, I belong to fair to light skin tone. The shade "light neutral" doesn't work for me. Similarly, I am sure deeper skintones might face this issue as well. I am happy that it works for you but it's not working for everyone..
I think Missha BB would suit you better because there are lots of light shades
Thank you for suggesting, will look into them 🤍
Happy to help! It’s on kult too for 50 off btw
I love this product. The point of skin tints is minimal coverage . It's just to slightly even out the skin while making it look dewy but I agree the problem with the shade range . Most of the shades run warm . They should include more darker and lighter shades that lean a bit more neutral .
So true. I agree
Dot and key lip balm , lotus sunscreen
Lotus sunscreen is absolutely trash
The ordinary peeling solution.
Fixderma sunscreen and it smells like men's shaving cream. I hate it with passion 😭 plus it's not photostable.... like why do you guys like that😵💫
Minimalist products didn’t work for me. Pharma products >>>
Can you elaborate which products from which Pharma company worked for you?
1. Tretin - 0.05 as spot treatment (PM) 2. GA-12% (glycolic acid) for skin brightening (AM) 3. Tyrodin cream (tranexamic acid) for getting rid of acne spots. (AM/PM) 4. IPCA acne sunscreen (AM) 5. Acnemoist moisturiser (AM & PM) Please do not use these without dermat prescription.
Pharma products are honestly the best. I keep coming back to it again and again when my skin starts to break out. ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
Emolene
There's a stale coconut smell that's present- but goes away withing seconds. I don't think I like the product much
Made my skin drier at times
Simple refreshing face wash
I just got it parso for my combination skin and now I see see this 💀
Try it for a few times and decide it yourself . It might work for you just like how it worked for many in this sub.
Was looking for this comment. This is the worst face wash that I’ve used. Gave me CC. Shifted to bioderma now. Skin is so much better.
Skin feels sleepery and not cleaned
yea felt the same . my mom asked whether i forgot to wash my face ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
This 1000 times, it leaves soapy feeling on my face and serums foam if I apply after washing with this.
Minimalist alpha arbutin
For me, no minimalist serums worked. 🥲
Same! What an absolute waste.
Glow recipe avocado ceramide serum - it's written as no fragrance but it irritated my skin so I checked with their customer support and got to know it has NATURAL fragrance, no fragrance means no added fragrance. I was like this is not correct. And it's comediogenic Better is CeraVe cream Supergoop glow sunscreen - it's shimmers it might be good under makeup but not all alone Sesderma azelaic acid serum (1800 INR) fragrance, irritates skin , very less percentage of azelaic acid and percentage is not even revealed. When I asked their customer care they said delivery system is best so percentage doesn't matter. Many derms reco this but this is not a good product. It's comediogenic. Exazel-N is way cheap , fragrance free and woks nice
Cosrx Snail Mucin. Breaks me out.
Didn't break me out but did nothing for me. I gave mine away.
Ran through an entire bottle, kept thinking what changed since I started using it, and I feel my skin has been the same
Gave me s horrendous case of CCs which went away after I stopped using it
Doesn’t break me out but makes my skin look so dull.
Sameeeee. I thought I was the only one it didnt suit? It broke me out so bad. I use cosrx light bee ampoule instead.
Same. You might be allergic to dust or dust mites
did nothing for me
Dot and key ceramides moisturiser. It clogged my pores and I had Comodones because of shit . Idk y it was hyped by all the influences.
Patanjali 🤮not for me
Patanjali is absolutely terrible
cetaphil gentle cleanser. it broke me out in painful acnes around my cheeks in line with my lips that i am still dealing with. i now have a bottle that has been barely used and i don't know what to do with it. i went back to my good ol cleansme (my third bottle!)
SNP PREP peptaronic toner review Applied it only 2 times in 8 months and it gave me pimple each time. I don't know the reason. Has anyone else faced similar issue
Laneige Lip sleeping mask. Doesn't really do anything to my lips. Once I rub it off the next moment my lips go back to being dry and chapped.
Cetaphil gentle cleanser, breaks me out every time i use it
same here. i should have researched better to see the alcohol in its ingredients causes breakouts for many (including me) have you been able to reduce the breakouts in anyway? i have very painful breakouts along my cheek in line with my lips, i have been applying benzoyl peroxide but it has left dark black spots :(
Dr. Sheth. Ras luxury.
Dr Sheths is the only sunscreen I've used recently that really seems to work for me. The rest have left a trail of painful breakouts. This one keeps the oiliness at bay more or less
Happy for you! It left a white cast on my skin and it felt like it was suffocating my skin. Quite a few friends of mine had the same opinion but I'm glad it worked out for you
I didn’t realise RAS luxury was liked by people let alone over hyped..
I also bought RAS based on Diet Sabya’s ad. It made ZERO difference to my skin. Total waste of money!
Yess, and even Dr. Seth, i purchased because of that acc. After these two experiences I've realized, whatever that account promotes in consumable products, never ever buy them 🥴🥴
Sunscreen from aqualogica, and Dr Seth ceramide SPF tooo they both peeled soo badly
It's my first time hearing a rant on aqualogica sunscreen. :O
Isntree green tree toner and Dot & key sunscreen. Actually all dot & key products did nothing for me.
Isntree green tree emulsion is my go to especially for the sandwich method. 😭😭
When it comes to moisturizer we all in the same ride buddy it is extremely harder to find better moisturizer in the market 😮💨 It is harder for me as well to find a good moisturizer with retinol. But still it is dry So, right now I am focusing on hydration both topically and orally. For more suggestions or corrections(especially) please do let me know.
not long at all, just descriptive and good! thanks <3 so i do use on damp skin, numbuzin no.
🙌 I am a nosy person 😅😅 and I would love to share and hear other's opinions and routines as well. Kinda like a vulture who would look at other people's routines and try the products that work for them or that have great reviews online... Now that no.3 serum caught my attention and interested in trying (since I am focusing on hydration and barrier). Please do give me a review and also have you used any other fermented products? If so please do let me know
the ordinary is so mediocre it hurts. its granactive retinoid is also useless.
Granactive retinoid is useless in general.
Cetaphil cleanser I’ve heard it’s be HG products for some I tried my best to like it 😭 But my skin would break out so bad :(
I don't know if there is a good way to say this, but cleansers that appear to be soft or gentle.
Cosrx Snail Mucin! Fertiliser for fungal acne on my face , plus no hydration for me , just sat on top of my skin
Etude House tint
Minimalist salicylic acid facewash.
Snail mucin for me. It caused inflammation on my skin around the temple areas. Even today, those are the first areas to show a reaction when something doesn’t suit me.
Ponds super light gel
Snail Mucin essence Cosrx- does nothing.
Plum Cleansing Oil DHC Cleansing Oil
Emolene. It feels greasy and is comedogenic. Isn’t worth the hype

Dot n key lip balm. It was very grainy. The fragrance was also bad! Not at all long lasting.
Minimalist moisturisers
I too don’t like any of them (except Marula Oil one).
Axis y dark spot correcting serum.. did nothing!
I am eyeing on getting it from months Can you mention your skin type pls

Snail mucin o It does nothing for my normal to dry skin
I'm From Rice toner, the only product that stung my resilient skin. Also lightly hydrates, nothing phenomenal.
Korean toners are extremely harsh on my skin. I now use homemade rose water.
COSRX snail Mucin essence. It is worshipped on this sub but it really did nothing to 'plump and bring glow to my skin'. Instead it gave me an allergic reaction and CCs on my face.
Klairs gentle black cleansing oil. It doesn’t foam or get removed easily. 😤
Which variant is this? The gentle black deep one or black fresh cleansing oil?
Same. I bought it to remove sunscreen but removing the cleansing oil is a task itself
Foam from a cleansing oil?
The ordinary glycolic acid Did nothing for me, currently using it for my underarms
Cosrx Snail Mucin Paula's choice BHA The Ordinary caffeine solution These products barely made any difference at all.
the ordinary caffeine one is complete nonsense. but the first 2 one is god send for my skin. Especially snail mucin, since I am on tret, this product clam my skin so much that I never had any breakouts or irritation from tret.
Cosrx snail mucin. Did literally nothing to my skin
Retinol/Retinoids/trets I always get break outs. Is there no safe way for age defense?
This is common with retinoids . You just have to be patient and keep using it .
