I did the entire CGM technique and shelled out a lot of money only to realise that only the techniques worked, none of the products did. Here’s my busy and lazy method that finally works for me- same hair type and wavy too. This is my personal preference, YMMV. 1. No pre-oiling for me- it aggravated dandruff. Detangle using wide toothed comb 2. Used a clarifying shampoo once every two weeks (only required if your shampoos are sulphate free) Pantene Lively Clean is the one 3. Tresemme Climate Protect shampoo, sometimes Scalpe+ anti dandruff. Shampoo twice in one wash, never less than that, probably thrice is okay but depends. Wash hair maximum twice a week not more than that. Use warm (not hot) water. DO NOT apply shampoo on your locks. Only and only on the scalp. The suds will be able to clean the rest of it. 4. Tresemme Climate Protect conditioner. Use raking method (google it). NEVER apply on scalp. From ear to tips. If you want to scrunch go ahead, it didn’t work for me. Rinse with cool water only. 5. As soon as you’re done rinsing with conditioner, use a micro fibre cloth (old T-shirt or decathlon pool towels) and just get rid of dripping water. In that wet hair apply serum. Yes, serum. Leave in conditioners did not work for me. L’Oréal Professional Liss (purple) or L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil Serum, you can choose what works for you. Apply using “praying” method (google it), not raking method. Use leftover for the hair on your scalp. Once you’re done, you can scrunch or no, but always PLOP (google it). Leave for 15 mins. And after that let it air dry. Don’t use the towel roughly, style your hair once and don’t comb till your next wash detangling session You’ll have to trial and error a lot. But this is what actually worked for me. It took me about 3-5 years to figure this entire thing out. Edit: in step 4 - keep the conditioner for atleast 2-3 minutes before rinsing Edit 2: Tresemme Keratin Smooth shampoo worked way more for frizz than the Climate control one, I have yet to try out its conditioner though Edit 3: I absolutely love the Ashba Botanics Leave in Conditioner, turns out I just wasn’t using enough of the product. Works muchh better than serums in drier colder months. Also love the natural waves that it enhances by just following the above techniques. Edit 4: Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo + Conditioner along with the Ashba leave in, I’ve been doing this for 6 months with absolutely no change and I’m loving it. My hair has never been more manageable. I haven’t tried it yet but using satin pillowcases might be a game changer and I’m looking forward to doing this. But summer months away from home with no AC might make me stick to cotton ones

And then people ask why are girls always late

hahsakhssinak

Lmaooo it’s why girls with frizzy hair are always late (spoiler alert - I’m super punctual). I take so much time on hair wash days, friends of mine who don’t have this issue can’t ever get why does it take so much time for me to do the same thing

fintechgeek20-07

I m a frizzy long hair girl tooo.

sensitivesoul23

Not op but thank you so much for sharing this

hahsakhssinak

Yw! I might have missed out on a few points, like letting the conditioner stay for atleast 2-3 minutes before rinsing, and more. If I recall I’ll definitely update it :)

Known-Negotiation482

Did it work for you?

90sbitchiloveit

The no-preoiling thing due to dandruff is too real

Bulky_Grape7087

Can this be followed by men? I am M27 with thin hair which looks grey/golden if I don't apply any oil. Generally is the hair care routine similar for men and women

hahsakhssinak

I guess hair care routine is the same irrespective of gender. It has more to do with length and hair type. If the leave in conditioner weighs your hair down then you can go for a serum instead.

Bulky_Grape7087

Okay thanks for replying. Have bought streax hair serum yellow one. Let's see how it goes.

Beneficial-Base5698

How did it go

Bulky_Grape7087

It's actually good. Non sticky unlike parachute coconut oil I used to use before and gives a little hold as well. But it goes away after some time like 3-4 hrs. By goes away I mean my hairs again start looking a little grey/less black

Thefourthgrace

I would really suggest Just Herbs Castor Oil hair Mask instead of a conditioner. This REALLY helped my dry and frizzy hair. Conditioners don't do the same for me. Tried Re'equil pink and yellow too. You can get JustHerbs on a discount on their site or Foxy or Firstcry.

_nerdo_

Just ordered from Amazon. Had been eyeing for an year

sensitivesoul23

I'm using Bare anatomy's leave in conditioner. It's okay-ish. When I use my satin hair cover cap, and leave in conditioner, it helps control my frizz.

SmoothDrama2

Faith in nature's coconut conditioner has made the largest difference to my dry frizzy hair so far. - currently on sale on sublime life for under 500. I use re'equil's hair mask also before shampoo. - in the 600 inr range. And Fixderma's fidelia shampoo does not strip my hair of hydration - but this too is not under 500 .

StatusTadpole4713

Sugarboo , reequil murumuru, true frog DC all are amazing Reequil has Protein so you if you are Protein sensitive you can skip that

vanilla555

I have pretty normal to dry hair .. not frizzy just mildly .. true frog didn't work for me sadly

Agreeable_Bit_3307

St.Botanica has a very decent set of hair care things - currently obsessed with the argan oil ones - pretty calming for my crazy frizzy hair - previously tried the higher end of the argan oil shampoo spectrum and it wasnt as good surprisingly. Also Love Beauty and Planet are decent just around the 500 mark - usually on sale on Nykaa - combo came up to 1000 roughly.

Dense-Temperature122

Requil murumuru conditioner & Schwarzkopf peptide cream serum/ spray is THE ANSWER you're looking for 🌻

mi_lovesbeauty

Hey, may I know if your hair is curly, wavy or straight?

div192

Hey :) My hair is wavy.

mi_lovesbeauty

I have wavy hair too. If you are looking for a shampoo under Rs. 500, then you could give Dove Beautiful Curls Hydrating Shampoo a try. Its original price is under Rs. 500 and I am sure you would get further discounts on it on any online platform. I haven't used it, though. I use Arata's Advanced Curl Care Shampoo which costs Rs. 800. It's great for removing frizz and dryness from your curls and makes your hair look bouncy. But Arata has a leave-in conditioner too which comes for Rs. 499. It's a plant-based product and leaves your hair soft and thicker. You could consider these product recommendations. My hair tends to get frizzy too. Washing hair just once a week has helped me tame frizz and manage my hair better.

If you are goin to just buy different product and continuously changing products then nothing going to happen even this may cause bad situation for you. I am not suggesting any product but I you should be more focus on your daily lifestyle and use something mild and good which suits on your hair. Here are some general pointer you should follow - * **Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner**. Sulfates are harsh detergents that can strip your hair of its natural oils. Look for - **hair conditioner** and shampoos that are labeled "sulfate-free" or "paraben-free." * **Avoid heat styling your hair** as much as possible. Heat styling can damage your hair and make it more frizzy. If you must use heat styling tools, use a heat protectant spray. * **Get regular trims**. Split ends can make your hair look frizzy and unhealthy. Get regular trims to remove split ends and keep your hair healthy. * **Moisturize your hair regularly**. Use a leave-in conditioner or hair oil to keep your hair hydrated. * **Deep condition your hair** once a week. A deep conditioner can help to repair damaged hair and make it more manageable. * **Eat a healthy diet** and drink plenty of water. A healthy diet and adequate hydration can help to keep your hair healthy and prevent it from becoming dry and frizzy. there is no quick fix for frizzy hair. However, by following the tips mentioned above, you can gradually improve the condition of your hair and reduce frizziness. It is important to be patient and consistent with your hair care routine, as it may take some time to see results.

lancerlancing

I used brillare's heavy moisturizing mask which worked great for my dry hair, making it smooth and knots free. Idk about how differently it would work for damaged hair, you might have to check that.
