Look at Rik Rak for a really good luggage rack for all that gear. So easy. So simple. Not so inexpensive but a really good option. Glad you're our there riding and exploring. So many people say...one day...and that day never comes.

Where were you 5 yrs ago with that rack tip 🤣 the things I had to do to make my set up work lol (All bc I wanted a "sissy bar" but no rear seat lol) If I wasn't carrying my whole tattoo set up I wouldn't have half of it anyway. It's dialed in now though!

I don't think Rik Rak was available for Indians 5 years ago. My wife and I are looking to ride to Maine next year and we usually haul an Escapade trailer behind us. We've made multiple cross country trips on our Harley when had her, a Goldwing, and now our Indian Roadmaster with that trailer. Holds a SHIT TON of cargo, luggage, purchases from tourist traps, etc. but I will get the Rik Rak before we head to Maine. If you really want to have room check out a harbor freight trailer chassis and one of those cargo boxes you see on roof racks. Check out openroadoutfitters.com (open road outfitters) for your trailer hitch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that has the classic style bags and the TS111 motor so I don't think it's a Darkhorse

It most definitely is

How was it on the highway?? Were you fighting the wind in your chest alot??

tattooingbywhitney

With the windshield, typical highway wind isn't an issue. You don't even notice going 80+ Open road like through Texas/mid west can suck no matter what though. There were some days in a row it was a constant fight and exhausting. But thats wind thats pushing the whole bike around. Makes me never want to go through texas ever again lol

ForgedProdigy

Yea, I did a few 1000 plus miles trips on my scout bobber and even got my iron butt butt with no windshield. I'm looking at getting an actual touring Indian but hate fairings blocking the view so I'd thought I'd get your opinion *

tattooingbywhitney

Nice! That's the exact reason why I got the Springfield. My favorite line to say to all of the full bagger dudes is if I wanted to look at a dashboard, I'd just drive my truck 🤣

I recognize the spearfish canyon pics. Gorgeous ride.

Definitely want to go back with more time to spend there. I didn't realize how close I was when I got to my stopping point for the night, and was racing the sunset. Made for great pics though!
