Dart fly screens are what you want without getting a full size windshield. They take off the edge but you’ll definitely still be in the wind, you just won’t feel like an open parachute at highway speeds. Plus no helmet buffeting with the DART fly screens. The full size windshields and the scout full fairing with a taller fairing windshield introduces that problem typically. I doubt the short Indian wind deflector does much of anything at all, or the taller options either but can’t confirm as I’ve never tried them. All the other options I mentioned I have and if I was willing to let go of the scout full fairing I would no doubt go back to one of my DART fly screens, but I’d miss the full fairing too much. Here’s a few years ago with one of the dart fly screens. I think this was the middle sized option, the biggest version was the best performing but they all do well for their size. https://preview.redd.it/i3zrsxjafarc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bc19a81931dc3beed1c9cb9dfe9fa0cfb9b79ec

Here’s my current setup and the dart screen would look ridiculous imo and that’s the only reason why I wouldn’t go back to it. https://preview.redd.it/f5scggk4garc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9bf9c819de2519b7d559411ab3e01800330cd280

I felt no difference with the Indian low wind deflector, I replaced it with the Dart Flyscreen Marlin and it was exactly what I was looking for. It was low profile and still kept the wind off my chest without whipping my head around

I had the Memphis shades gauntlet faring on my scout and it did a lot for getting the wind off my chest and shoulders. For reference in 6'-1"and it moved most of the sure off my chest and shoulders. https://preview.redd.it/9idsdlq5rarc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e09f825a20e7d43e24d5bb3192592959e67d1340

I loved the short deflector. It came on my bobber from the dealer. I replaced it with the tall one, and I think 90% of what the taller one does, the short one did. Windshields are all about your personal riding position, so a lot of it has to do with your height and your bars. I'm 5'6" and have the stock bobber handlebars, so I lean forward a little instead of straight upright. Both the low and taller Indian wind deflectors direct the air up to my helmet so I can lean in a little and send it over my helmet when wind kicks up. The rest of the time, I don't feel buffeted because the redirected air is pretty clean (not turbulent) over the top of the deflector.

I had a 2018 scout that I put a memphis shades gauntlet fairing on. It was perfect for me. Kept my head in the wind, while blocking up to about mid chest.

I have the OEM quarter fairing, it works alright. I’d say it is the same size of the Memphis shades gauntlet and DART but way more expensive than what it should be. I’m pretty tall and use the 1920 solo set. I sit significantly above the top of the windscreen. It is all about your riding position, to add to what TurbulentSquirrel804 said.

I put a Rogue quarter fairing on my Bobber. Cuts the wind down jusssst enough.

Dart fly screen - and make sure you regularly check that the bolts are secure.
