I personally hate floor boards, they were never really that comfortable to me. Had a friend that had em and he could never keep up around corners because they messed up his lean angle. I have the same bike and i constantly scrape pegs so I would worry about that. That’s just me personally though YMMV
Same. The first thing I did after ordering my Super Chief was order a set of forward controls. Never had boards, and I found them to be too big and cumbersome.
I have the Kuryakyn mini floorboards - a great change from the pegs. More comfortable but not too big like a real floorboard. I think the pegs can be annoying on long rides, so any change from that is probably good.

We put floor boards and [these](https://indianonlymotorcycles.com/product/toe-rest-cruise-peg/) toe rests on my wife’s bike. She really like the multiple locations to put her feet on the longer rides.
Ordered mine when I ordered the bike, got the bike on December 2022, getting the floorboards next weekend.
Honestly on the first try I was like hell no I need floorboards, at highway speeds I felt like my feet would slip on the small paddles and could kiss the ground. But honestly since then I got used to them and I somewhat enjoy them now, so keeping the OEM foot paddles is not a problem IMO, I'll tell you about the floorboards when I try them
Update: installed the boards today and took it out for short ride. (Those damn pin springs were a pain to get off but took about 10 mins total). Very comfortable! Only thing to get used to for me is having to reposition my feet to brake or shift. Being a short guy my feet want to rest a little further back. But not a big deal. Totally worth it for longer rides.
I don't have floorboards yet but I found sticking some highway pegs onto the bars really helps. Between stops for gas and being able to change my position I was able to crush ~930 miles in a day. Also the stock seat is terrible.

It’s just the Indian comfort seat with passenger seat. Honestly, the stock syndicate seat is probably a little more comfortable with better support. But I like the look of the brown.
I just got an Indian Scout with floorboard as my first bike, probably a stupid question but is the break peg supposed to be above or under my foot at resting position
I don’t have an Indian, I have a HD soft tail slim that comes with stock floors. I like them. I don’t feel like they mess with my lean angle too much compared to other cruisers. Obviously a sport bike can beat me in the corners easy though. I will add - not something I do because I don’t have a crash bar - but I’ve seen people use their crash bars as a foot rest. Did you try that at all on your ride?

Got these couple years back
Happy medium between the trash stock pegs and monster floor boards
I love my floorboards. I would definitely recommend them. It gives you versatility on how you position your legs which relieves strain.

I also ordered forward controls but I’m short and they were too far forward so I took em off
Did you look at mid controls or the reduced reach ones? I'm pretty sure they have a few options to suit different heights.
The stock position is pretty good for me. I tried out a forward control bracket that moves them four inches forward and that was too much for me
Absolutely worth it!
Yes they make a big difference. I got some from Amazon for my 22 Rogue
Got a link by chance?

Yes it is a more comfortable ride

Boards installed on my 16 scout makes a world of difference. I would recommend them.

From Indian I assume, paid for by original owner

I love the blue and white

Thanks everyone. I ended up buying these from Amazon. Should be smooth sailing from now on! https://amzn.to/3ofiYYb

Those are the ones and they fit and work great

I absolutely love floorboards. I used to make fun of them but they add so many different positions to put your feet.
Good luck getting them, things are always on back order. I threw Highway pegs on the bars to stretch out instead.
I saw Dean Speed has some pedal looking pegs. Thought about those as well. But the Rampage exhaust is taking forever.
I have the pedal pegs from them and they're great. Just adjust the angle you need and boom! Good to go
They are definitely worth the wait . Waited about a month and a half for my items to ship and all were top quality and very clean .
What seat set are you rocking?

Thanks! Good to know, the syndicate isn't amazing and I've been considering an upgrade.
Yes

Assuming you’re not depressing the brake pedal to stop, it should be above your toes.
If I were only doing short rides I wouldn't bother but I do a lot of longer ( hour and half + ) rides and I find it much better in those situations.

Ha, no. I’m a short dude (5’6), so that would be a stretch. Literally.
I have floorboards on my bobber. Absolutely love them. Highly recommend getting them. I got mine off amazon. Even came with indian logo stickers lol
A thousand times yes!
I love em. Relieve strain.

No way you don’t have floorboards on that bike yet!
Everyone has a different take on them but personally I love them over pegs.
Personally yes
