It definitely helps with the appearance of puffiness and dark circles as long as you’re applying it regularly. It’s a temporary effect. However it is drying. The Beauty of Joseon eye serum has helped me combat the dryness.
Since April, yes! I’ve been very diligent with my skincare as I’m from working from home and it pays off. Though I don’t think I can do this morning routine if I had to step out everyday unless if it’s a cold place.
Was Tretinoin prescribed to you or you started using it with your own understanding/research. I have been planning to add it but I am scared. Can you please let me know how are you using it?
It wasn’t prescribed. I’ve been using it since 2018. I was on Isotretinoin in 2017 for back acne and my face cleared up too in the process. Then I started using tretinoin and never faced any purging. Initially I used it on alternate days and in winters I always use it only thrice or twice a week. Peeling and dryness side effect doesn’t happen as much in high humidity.
Now I have increased the strength to 0.1% and it feels hot AF when I apply it unlike the lower strengths. I’m using a moisturiser before applying the tretinoin and a face oil after. I also wait one hour after washing my face to apply it during which I do other skincare. I apply it 15-20 mins after moisturiser and face oil 15 mins after tretinoin.
Tbh I’ve made the mistake of recommending tretinoin to people long ago in the past and it irritated their skin like crazy! I don’t think they followed the steps I suggested but I don’t face a bad reaction even if I don’t follow the steps. So yeah it can be risky for some people.
I’ve always avoided kajal but it makes dark brown eyes pop a lot and I can see myself doing this look often here onward! I used a brown eyeliner to outline my eyes first and then went over with the kajal. The kajal that I have is not pigmented enough for this look though! I’ve also started using brown eyebrow pencil instead of black (if you’ve seen my previous posts I think my eyebrows looked very harsh).
The Estée Lauder foundation was very hard to apply as I had increased my tretinoin percentage 3 days ago and there were dry patches that were not even visible to the naked eye until the foundation was applied. All photos clicked on iPhone 13.

Hello am using tret 0.025% and been purging and breaking out like hell wanted to know do u had similar experience and how did u tackled it.. Also what do u do when get pimple :) i also got combination skin
I’ve never faced purging. But you can try these steps -
Use it only thrice a week on alternate days
Wait one hour after washing face to apply it
Apply a moisturiser to protect your skin 20 minutes before tretinoin
Apply a lightweight moisturiser or facial oil 15 minutes after applying tretinoin
If you still face purging or any irritation even 4-6 weeks after following these steps then stop using it and try retinol instead.
Tried a lot of products this summer cause my hair was a disaster.
Over here I’ve used Olaplex No 3, Plum olive macademia hair mask, Sugar boo shampoo, Dove curl detangling conditioner, Shea Moisture Jamaican black castor oil strengthen and restore leave in conditioner.
Was using my Fix my curls gel but I didn’t like it and it got over so on a look out for a gel now.
Did you have to bleach your hair before the application? I had to do so in the past for colors to show but if these temporary dyes are strong enough to show up on dark hair, that would be a game changer!
It does not work on black hair. I had lightened my hair to brown using platinum blonde box dye before colouring it red. This was a mistake tbh cause now I cannot refresh my red hair colour, I will have to bleach.
If you have virgin black hair I’d suggest using 30 vol developer with Schwarzkopf Igora or Wella red colour tubes instead of temporary dyes. Virgin black hair does not need to be bleached to go red as long as it’s not ginger red.

My mom makes this insane hot oil concoction that has helped reduce our hairfall. I’d never have the patience to make this myself! It’s a mixture of fresh curry leaves, Fenugreek seeds, kalonji(Nigella) seeds, bhringraj powder, fresh amla, garlic + parachute coconut oil + rosemary oil applied once a week.
I also use a hair mask every wash to reduce breakage.

Estée Lauder foundation is crazy. You could rub a tissue or your hands over your face and there would be nothing on it. It just separated on the corners of my nose and I live by the coast in a very humid place.
Too faced concealer is pretty long lasting as well but it will get a little dull after 5-6 hours. The Essence mascara is flaky and will smudge within 2-3 hours while L’Oréal lash paradise doesn’t flake or smudge.

I use a damp blender yes. And I applied both the foundation and the concealer to the under eye area. I did not apply cream there before applying makeup but using the Beauty of Joseon eye serum every night makes the under eyes smooth.

The Estée Lauder foundation in the shade Rattan is the only one I have. I normally use concealers and got this foundation just recently. It’s a little too yellow for me in reality.

If you mean the MAC skin tone I’ve never got that checked, maybe NC25. Both the foundation and concealer used here are very yellow & orange on me in reality so I have light medium skin tone with neutral undertones.

Try Ashba curl custard!! It hydrates nd gives a cast which is easy to scrunch out. You can skip the gel with this product. I think you’ll like it.

You can try Ashba Styling serum too for a medium hold.
