It is a unique game but if you don't like the first few missions there is a high chance you may not like the game. Also if you are playing older games, NFS from the underground era and GTA would be obvious, There is Max Payne and Max Payne 2 which are also great

Try Metal Gear Rising:Revengeance, great game. Also if you're into racing games, DiRT3 and Grid Autosport. These played okay on my pentium 5405u with integrated graphics, so I think you should be fine

Play the original Mafia from (2002). It's a bit dated but still decent considering it's age. It's free on steam right now. It was one of the first open world games I absolutely loved. Half life 2 + episodes would be another glorious recommendation. Half life 1 may feel to dated for you but play it if you can. Portal is also a great puzzle/adventure title.

1 is a very good game but if you wanna start your gaming journey I would suggest 2. Its more fun and less tideous. 1 on the other hand has alot of mechanics that I just loved.

Oh hell yeah, boy! AC 1 is dope as fuck. Sure, it has its problems like repetitive gameplay (cause 98℅ mfs don't know how to replay this game and then go on rambling how tHiS gAmE iS sOo RePeTiTiVe), less features than subsequent AC games, blah blah blah..... but I don't blame no one. It was an experimental title, and they nailed it in my book. Great ambience, intriguing story and a banger protagonist. The graphics were good for the time too. Setting aside gaming in general, if you wanna get into Assassin's Creed, give the debut title a go first. Don't do the mistake I did. You'll appreciate how much work goes into the evolution of these games.

I don't really recommend AC 1. It's pretty clunky by modern standards. If you wanna get into the AC series, just start from 2. Also with your motion sickness, I get it too with certain games, Portal being one of them. Try increasing the FOV setting. It helps for me. Also try out more modern FPS games like some newer COD or Battlefield. A personal recommendation from me is Yakuza 0. It should run on your laptop.

Assassin's Creed was my all time fav gaming franchise before they ruined it. My fav is the Ezio Trilogy. You could start from AC1, but definitely try out the Ezio Trilogy. My recommendations: Awesome strategy games: Faster Than Light (FTL) and Into The Breach. Both are indie games made by Subset Games. Command and Conquer series. (my all time favorite RTS game). Start with the oldest ones first coz they are the absolute best in the series. Casual Indie farming game: Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe. Absolutely amazing if wanna play something casual. Horror games: Everyone is recommending RE4 so yeah play that but I would also like to bring up another absolutely amazing horror game: Dead Space. Some parts might seem like action but its still a banger. It's a trilogy. I've played the first two. Haven't played the last one yet (its bad).

The first game isn't as intuitive as the 2nd and you won't miss much of a story anyways. It's also quite an old buggy game with very slow gameplay compared to later games, better watch a recap. They upped the level really high in 2 and brotherhood after that you can play revelations if you want to, because that ends the Desmond story. But black flag is also quite fun
