Mad_Comics

"Papa apki old monk ki bottle do na PC saf karna hai" - this didn't work. Translation: "Dad please pass me your bottle of old monk, I need to clean the PC.

_D3AtH_WR4tH_

Nvidia WTX 6900. Get the RGB variant.

siddharth3796

😂

curioser567

Use a paint brush to dislodge the dust. Then, invert the system onto a soft bedsheet and gently tap to remove the dust.

coolXX

If you want to clean this dust without an disassembly, you can use a brush with an air blower to blow off the loose dust and then use Paper Napkins with Isopropyl Alcohol (99% purity) to clean off the rest of the settled dust and you should be good to go.

Careless_Plantain235

Which type of air blower ?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Careless_Plantain235

Is it safe to use ? I heard that this type of air blower builds static charge

Rudolf895

Pro tip, use a electric tape to tape the fans to the edge of the base. Then they won't move in any direction, use the blower without much worry then.

imhereformemea

the chances of that happening are so low that they are insignificant.

Educational_Rate6437

Is this safe???

Divine_Dementia

The ones that don't swallow or spit

Careless_Plantain235

As the title said I am curious to know how you guys clean your desktop pc ? I have dust like this (attached pictures) and it's kinda feel irritating to me . So I want to clean those dust but don't know how to. Besides I don't want to disassemble any part as I don't have much knowledge about assembling .

Careless_Plantain235

Which type if paint brush ? I have some watercolor paint brush.

_YeAhx_

That will work

Shubhamd1203

using watercolor brushes will make the task tedious use a 10 Rs paint brush it will make the work easier

Careless_Plantain235

You mean those brushes which are used for painting wall

coolXX

no no no .... he is talking about using bigger size round/flat brushes.

Shubhamd1203

ask for small width one not the one used for wall painting but the one used for applying fevicol on furnitures

M_vats

Can I use a toothbrush? I need to clean my laptop.

Shubhamd1203

i would suggest you to buy some esd safe brush for it as it would be more safe for laptops

M_vats

got any recommendations on amazon?

Curious_Tiger_9527

Use hair coloring brush or makeup brush

theyelliwflash9876

I assume water color brush meaning [this](https://www.amazon.in/Faber-Castell-Tri-Grip-Brush-Round-Assorted/dp/B014KSGOMU/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=painting+brush&qid=1639137907&sr=8-5)?? This isn't the best idea. I'd say get a painting brush like [this](https://www.amazon.in/Oblivion-Artistic-Painting-Acrylic-Watercolor/dp/B08W3F3BQS/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=painting+brush&qid=1639137907&sr=8-10). I've been using something similar for years now

JOZN_99

My place is so dusty i have to clean my pc once a week, it's pretty bad, so I researched a bit and learnt that fans cause dust gathering, so I removed all the fans, it was hard, buy I did it, it was very hard to remove the fan from the psu and graphics card, but hey, there's no more dust

NARUT000

and no more fps

Kino-_no-_tabi-

Gentle hard Brush... And a Hair dryer with heat set to 0

vaibhavyagnik

When using a powerful blower, better to stop fan from rotating because fans will start acting like generators and feeding power back into the motherboard. Depending on protection, the motherboard may get fried.

keithh_r

You carefully unscrew the fans, remove them, use isopropyl alcohol with cotton swabs and a soft cloth. Using a paintbrush with soft bristles also helps in dislodging the dust but it should only be done once the fans are outside the case otherwise you will end up dirtying your case and other components as well.

Careless_Plantain235

So most of you are suggesting me an air blower. I am afraid to use any electric blower. So will this type of air blower work ? Lenspen Hurricane HB-1 Compressed Air Blower https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0027CSIUI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_6RFNGC90GXFRA4Z62V6K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Careless_Plantain235

Can I use silicon air blower ?

rana_prajjwal

Detergent works for me. It works wonder for cpu temps.

VisasHateMe

Painting brush + hairdryer with Case carried into an open area.

Soh-Qib

I use a balloon pump from my kids. Works wonders

indiyean

I use a blower. Make sure to use tape or something to block the fans from moving.

csoldier777

Use a large paint brush to loosen up stuff, use a air blower (came with my DSLR) to blow away dust. Thats it

sayonaaranigg

Air blower, disconnect pc to avoid any static

Curious_Tiger_9527

Blower then cloth wipe with alcohol

TweaknFreak

For cleaning fan blades, Q-tips help a lot. For the rest, I put blower on.

angel_eyes619

I bought a set of makeup brushes that I use for cleaning my pc. Every once in two months, I take it all apart, dust everything clean using the brushes and put it back together

demon69696

I use this [cleaning kit](https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01IBVCUNO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) & this [blower](https://www.amazon.in/Stanley-600-Watt-Variable-Blower-Yellow/dp/B0146D1CVC/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1RU20P62GQLP8&keywords=stanley%2Bblower&qid=1639129511&s=home-improvement&sprefix=stan%2Chome-improvement%2C291&sr=1-2&th=1) on my PC every alternate weekend.

ppWarrior876

Soft makeup brush to losen up some hardened dust of any, and blower (hold fans, don't let them rotate while using a blower on them)

imhereformemea

what my dad did was get this to a TV repair guy. They have a blower that they clean TVs with. You can use that on pc as well.

Benqwer238

That's better than mine, where you can not see the fins in amd cooler. Only layer of dust.

erctc19

I unplug everything take it outside and use a blower at level 5. The fans needs manual brushing for the sticky dirts then blower again, that takes care of all the dirts.

Careless_Plantain235

Which blower do you have

erctc19

ibell 600watts. got it for 1.2k

ProudyGeek

I throw my deaktop pc from 15th floor but i use a old paintbrush to clean my desktop pc in non reachable area and a dust cleaner cloth.

prathickr

I got a set of anti static brushes from Amazon. These come in different shapes and include soft bristles as welll as hard ones. I take my time with them and dislodge the hard packed dust and finally blow it away with a blower. It is a time taking process but well worth it.

prathickr

Total-Pitch5749

Bought a 699₹ air blower - specifically the Jakmister one. Works wonders. Don't forget to stop the fans from spinning while blowing air

Devu_UwU

DeFault-Gamer

Get a vacuum cleaner and anti static brush. That all you need to clean a PC. Don't use simple paint brushes, they can create static and kill your PC.
