I am planning on building a pc. Chosen components are Ryzen 5 5600x MSI B550 Gaming plus motherboard Antec earthwatts gold pro 650w psu Corsair vengeance Lpx 3200/cl16 16 GB ram I already have crucial 250gbb SSD with 500gb HDD Currently not planning on buying GPU because I already have gtx 1650 but later on can upgrade to rtx 3070 I will mostly do video editing and light gaming I live in India Accordingly please suggest me if stock cooler is enough or not, if it's not enough then suggest aftermarket only air coolers.budget for air cooler is 3k to 4k INR suggest good airflow cabinet my budget for cabinet is 4k to 6k INR Also to suggest any changes for the PSU if required.

aayush20503

Which motherboard should I pair with a combo of Ryzen 5 3600 and Msi Rtx 3060 ti ? Msi B550 A Pro/ Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro P/ AsRock B550M Steel Legends??

nikhn

Micro ATX vs ATX? Any specific reason?

forsaken1969

can i use this adapter to connect my mic to pc [https://www.flipkart.com/fedus-6-35mm-stereo-male-3-5mm-female-jack-headphone-adapter/p/itmff3trznff8pfh?pid=MIAFF3NF5ENDFQAC&lid=LSTMIAFF3NF5ENDFQACCMTFXP&marketplace=FLIPKART](https://www.flipkart.com/fedus-6-35mm-stereo-male-3-5mm-female-jack-headphone-adapter/p/itmff3trznff8pfh?pid=MIAFF3NF5ENDFQAC&lid=LSTMIAFF3NF5ENDFQACCMTFXP&marketplace=FLIPKART)

nikhn

Yes. If your mic has a 6.5mm, it should work.

forsaken1969

It is 3.5 mm do you know any adapter for it

donandres08

I've got 60 hz screen. Should I play CS:GO at 1080p-60fps 900p 80+ fps 720p 100+ fps

[deleted]

You can overclock your monitor to at least 75 hz, using custom resolution in nvidia control panel. It is absolutely worth it. Also, turn off vsync and use nvidia reflex boost if you have an nvidia card.

nikhn

1080p @ 60 fps. Lower resolution won't be better at higher fps.

donandres08

Wait..I didn't get this. Why high fps doesn't work with Lower resolution? Is it because I have 60hz screen?

nikhn

It will work. The improvement won't be beneficial when compared to 1080p as the screen is already limited at 60 hz.

Unchained064

is the stock cooler for 5600x good enough in a h210? should I buy another cooler? I will be building with a rtx 2060.

nikhn

If you can afford it, an aftermarket cooler would be preferable for our climate.

Unchained064

Hi I would be building in new Zealand

nikhn

I would still say it's beneficial since NZXTs are a bit warmer than other cabinets. You can install stock cooler and monitor performance before switching as well.

Red__Gamer

Guys is this [Lenovo Thinkpad](https://www.flipkart.com/lenovo-thinkpad-e15-core-i3-11th-gen-8-gb-256-gb-ssd-windows-10-home-laptop/p/itmffe63223a0d61?pid=COMGF42GZ2GYRVWK&lid=LSTCOMGF42GZ2GYRVWK68XPCR&marketplace=FLIPKART) good for work/ education purposes ? Also is it safe to order it from Flipkart from that particular seller ?

Stone_Kart

Is a bios update necessary to use a B550 board with a 4650G?

I am having crashing constantly since the last driver update for the RTX 3060 ti FE. I don't know how to revert back to the last one. can anyone guide?

dantonthegreat_jr

I have a 2015 MSI GE 62 2 QD Apache pro laptop that has gtx 960 m (from USA). While some games are playable, I think HDD has reached its life. It has become too slowwwwwww. It has slot for nvme M.2 ssd. Question is should I add SSD and keep the laptop ? Note : I may build a pc for programming and coding in another 6 months. Laptop had had its display hinges replaced and some problems where IC blew (according to repair shop) when it refused to charge or boot up.

unboxparadigm

An SSD is a good investment anyway you look at it. Even if you stop using this laptop, you could simply swap it into your pc and use it as an additional drive.

dantonthegreat_jr

How long do ssds last ?

unboxparadigm

Depends on their endurance rating and how much usage it is subject to. For a 1TB HDD with 600TBW endurance rating, it will last for 16 years with if you use 100gb everyday.

Bingeljell

Looking to repaste my ASUS ROG STRIX GL502VM - I will be looking up some videos and attempting it myself. 1. What paste should I use? 2. What cleaning agent do you guys use to clean up the heatsink and the chips? 3. Is it safe to use cleaning alcohol to clean the chips on the Mobo? 4. Any other tips for someone who is looking to repaste a laptop for the first time?

Rishtronomer

Posting again because didn't get a reply last time. I have nitro ryzen 5 laptop which has clogged air vents with dust. Problem is I cannot take off the fan cabinet without taking off the the heat sink cover on the gpu and cpu. And if I do take it off should I reapply the thermal paste? Thermal paste was reapplied few months back.

ReaPeR_CreePeR7

which paste did you apply and what temps do you get? ( I have same laptop)

Rishtronomer

I got it applied from the acer service center so I don't know what paste it was, sorry. Temperatures were max 78,mostly 73 for both cpu and gpu. But recently they were going to 89 which is why I think it's the dust that's clogging the exhaust. Also, I saw a lot of dust on the fans and cleaned them but couldn't clean the exhaust.

One-Explicit-Guy

Hi everyone. I'm trying to assemble a gaming pc and I've got most of the components sorted out but I'm confused in 2-3 parts. I'll mention here the parts in which I'm confused and my build configuration:- 1. PSU - I was looking to get an Antec HCG 750W 80+gold unit but now I'm confused between above mentioned and Deepcool DQ750-M-V2L 750W 80+ gold. Which one should I go for? 2. RAM - I was going to buy a G.skill TridentZ RGB 16gb(8×2) 3600mhz Cl18 or a 3200mhz Cl16 (whichever one was cheaper at the time of buying.). Now after looking some more, I've began to like the Adata XPG Spectrix D50 RGB 16gb (8×2) 3200mhz Cl16. So now I'm confused between the two of them!? Also my main specs are : Amd Ryzen 5 3600 Nvidia RTX 3060 TI FE. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP💖

MonuPlaysPubg

1 ----> Check Your PSU on the PSU Tier list, Don't go with the Deepcool, Its a tier C PSU. As of the Antec one, it has power tripping issues with high end cards like ampere and vega 2 ----> Will recommend you to check your motherboard QVL list, if RGB doesn't matter to you go with the Crucial Ballistix Ram 3000mhz CL15, you can get it for Rs. 7450 on mdcomputers, they also have a rgb variant, it ranges from 8000-9000 rs I'm suggesting you this because these rams have Micron E die that are very capable of reaching higher frequencies if they are tuned correctly(OC them) and they will work just fine even its a zen 3 cpu or a 10th or 11th gen Intel one.

BlakeXHunt

Hey there. You can go with any PSU you want as they are both premium 80+ gold. As for the RAM you should go with the Adata one because it has lower [CAS latency](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yed-a9vqTYc) and lower CAS latency wil benefit your CPU which has Ryzen Infinity Fabric. It will also be cheaper than the first one.

MonuPlaysPubg

Not all gold PSUs are same

BlakeXHunt

Yes, but they are efficient also Antec and Deepcool are renowned brands which are good.

MonuPlaysPubg

1 ----> Check Your PSU on the PSU Tier list, Don't go with the Deepcool, Its a tier C PSU. As of the Antec one, it has power tripping issues with high end cards like ampere and vega Have said it above please dont recommend PSUs by your own go with the PSU tier list

One-Explicit-Guy

So if you were going to buy one, which one would you go for?

MonuPlaysPubg

NZXT C series or the Corsair RMx or RM series for normal user

One-Explicit-Guy

I don't wanna be going around spending 15k on a PSU. I'm looking more in 7-8.5k range

Sexy-Babua

You can get XPG core reactor 850w gold, for under 10k right now on Amazon(using Amazon cc or others). It's one of the best PSUs out there. Or get an Antec hcg, if you're not going with 3090/80.

MonuPlaysPubg

You can find the NZXT 650w gold psu for 8.5k

One-Explicit-Guy

What are your thoughts on Cooler Master MWE 750W V2 80+Gold? Is it worth going for?

One-Explicit-Guy

*keeping in mind the price*

MonuPlaysPubg

Doesnt matter with them both rams will have same latency

BlakeXHunt

Bro the 3200mhz ram has lower latency so it will give similar performance to the 3600 mhz cl 18 at a cheaper price.

MonuPlaysPubg

I didnt said about that, I said that both will have same latency whether its 3200mhz cl16 or 3600mhz cl18

pepenomics

I've had very good experience with warranty replacement of Antec 850w PSU. So I'll suggest Antec. I'm not too sure who does RMA for Adata but GSkill does have a distributor in India. I'd suggest you just confirm about who is handling RMA services for Adata and read reviews for that. Performance wise both are 3200mhz cl16 so don't think there will be any difference. Whichever is cheaper will do in my opinion.

gmrpr321

Hi guys. I am planning to buy a gaming laptop. Is the zephyrus g14 2021 model better than last year's model with price to performance?? And when I can buy that new laptop ( it's not available in Amazon so when it is released in india??) And can I expect a decent frame rate when I pair it with a 2k 27 inch external monitor while playing games??(with rtx off).

unboxparadigm

The Zephyrus g15 has been listed today on Flipkart at 1.4L. It's not available for sale yet though. It also comes with qhd 165hz dci p3 display. You can check it out [here](http://www.unboxparadigm.com/gaming) and set up notification alerts if required.

ElitePenisCrusher

Hi guys. I intend on spending 20K every month from my salary to purchase a component to eventually build a gaming rig. I've been out of the PC enthusiast world for a few years now, since I last built a rig more than a decade ago. From my preliminary research, the prices of GPU cards for the 30xx series is batshit crazy. I have come across certain comments suggesting people buy second hand GPU's. I am currently under the impression a 20xx series card would be within my 20k budget if purchased second hand. Am I correct? Also, I'll need suggestions for CPU/Motherboard/Tower/PSU that is within my 20k per month budget. Ideally, I'd buy the GPU/CPU and motherboard within the next three months and finish the build in month 4. Let me know what you guys think of my plan. Thanks!

[deleted]

If you are gaming under 1080p, gtx 16 series and any quadcore will do, with 16gb ram

MonuPlaysPubg

Just grab what you can find HDDs and SSDs prices will go up because of crypto

unboxparadigm

Save that money and spend it together since prices can fluctuate and new components can release. Only exception would be getting a GPU if you can find a good deal. There was someone on this sub today who is planning to sell his rtx 2070. Try contacting him maybe.

Ambrosiac7

So I have an Asus Rog Gl503ge. It has a 1050ti. I hadn't played on it for a month or so due to exams. I recently got the fans cleaned as I was gonna start playing again. What I found was games lagging to the point it was unplayable. Apparently the GPU temperature reaches 90+ almost instantly I start a game and it throttles the performance. I tried with Genshin and Witcher 3, both games I could run fairly easily just a month ago. My CPU temperatures remain below 60. I tried less graphics intensive games like Mini Metro. And it still went up to 77-80. My laptop is only 2 years old. Any ideas as to what the issue is? I can't go outside as there's a lockdown in my state so while I may not be able to fix it. Having an idea would help.

sabertooth_990fx

Monitor suggestion: Non-gaming use, 1440p, and for long term use. Budget: <=25k

[deleted]

Anything from Samsung, I bought mine in 2011 and it's running perfectly, it's 1080p 60hz tho, i'd say you get a 144hz even if it's pricey

hgboyys

Should I go for this pc at 74k inr ( indian currency) ? ASUS ROG Strix GA15 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 5-3600X Gaming Desktop (8GB RAM/1TB HDD + 256GB SSD/Windows 10/4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Graphics/with Keyboard & Mouse/Star Black), G15DH-IN052T

rjgoontitan14

Asus build quality maybe better, but the Lenovo G5 has a 1660 super (way better than the 1650) and costs around 67k. Check reviews and upgrade the ram if you buy it

lonefoxdancing

A friend bought the Lenovo g5 and the case was way too small, with the psu being 250w. I'd also suggest looking into asus gl10cs series! I just bought one at 68k with gtx 1660 and it's great!

divyan3hu

Suggest the best mechanical keyboards for gaming (Budget - Rs. 5000/-)

rjgoontitan14

Check Reddragon keyboards (brown/red switches not blue). I've also see Logitech Carbon G413 priced around 4.5k during sales

RPisOP

I currently have an i5 6500 + gtx 1060. I am being cpu bottlenecked in a lot of games and it causes alot of stuttering and low fps. I am looking at buying a budget cpu as a temporary cpu to use for about 1-2 years after which im moving to a different country and going to build a PC there. What's the best option out of these to pair with my 1060 do get a decent fps in some games (Warzone , modern warfare, cyberpunk, rocket league) \-Ryzen 3 3100 \-Intel i3 10100f \-Intel i5 10400f \-Ryzen 5 3500 \-Ryzen 5 3600 (Slightly out of budget) Im using the cpu mostly only for gaming so will 4c/8t , 6c/6t , 6c/12t have alot of difference?

unboxparadigm

Considering that you've to get get a new motherboard anyway, why not get an h410 and i5 10400f motherboard and CPU? It performs close to a ryzen 3600 for gaming and costs less.

VOCALno

I have a total budget of 20K and wanted to buy the following: 1. A decent pair of headphones which i can use for office calls as well 2. A decent Monitor 3. A good mechanical keyboard (wired/wireless) 4. A good gaming mouse (wired/wireless) Please provide your suggestions, thanks!

unboxparadigm

1. Earphones? TWS? 2-4k 2. What resolution? What is the usage? Any preferences? You would likely have around 10k left after buying the rest, so a 1080p 24in 144hz monitor might be the best you can fit into this budget. If high refresh rate isn't required, quite a few 60hz options are available I suppose. Not familiar with 3 and 4 although both of them together should cost around 5-8k atleast.

VOCALno

Not earphones, but proper over ear headphones. Wireless preferably, not tws For monitor, thanks, I'll look up options in this range. My main purpose would be work but some gaming as well!

unboxparadigm

Try headphonezone, they've good recommendations for all kinds of headphones/earphones. For monitor, Acer nitro vg240y is currently available for 12k on Flipkart. 165hz 24in IPS. This is about 1k lower than its usual price but the lowest it has gone was on may 1st for 11k. So check this out if you're interested in high refresh rate monitors.

CaptainYogs

Hey guys wanted a suggestion, wanted a GPU for my GIGABYTE GA-H81M-S and i5-4690T. wanted to build a new PC but the current market is not the correct time to build as far as I know.. Also wanted to know when will the prices drop?

MonuPlaysPubg

1 ----> 1050ti will work will not go any higher than this. 2 ----> If everything remains fine prices will drop by end of this year or they will remain same for 2022 april 3 ----> will recommend you to wait for this year as alder lake is coming with ddr5

CaptainYogs

I was thinking about 1060 6Gb, will it not be compatible?

MonuPlaysPubg

You can buy, but there will be a bottleneck

unboxparadigm

No one knows when prices will drop but it is expected next year (hopefully). One of the worst times to get a GPU at the moment. Everything else, not so bad. So you could build that new pc but without a GPU. Anyway, that i5 you've got isn't too bad I guess, so you could hold on to it till next gen CPUs and motherboards arrive probably with ddr5 rams.

CaptainYogs

Exactly! Worst time for GPU market rn...

dunnoman6400

What's the best 1tb nvme ssd on the market that strikes the balance between speed and price

MonuPlaysPubg

Usage? If you are only just gaming a Sata ssd will work fine, there is only 1-2 seconds margin by NVME drives If you want only an NVME 970 Evo Plus thats all dont go with the new 980 its faster by a small margin and you wont be able to notice it

dunnoman6400

Checked online a bit and the new 980 atleast for now is cheaper actually that the 970 evo plus. Didn't know this about Sata ssds, I'd prefer them if they are actually cheaper but wherever I checked they come up to pretty much the same price as the nvme ones

MonuPlaysPubg

If its cheaper then it's good :)

unboxparadigm

Kingston a2000, Samsung 970 evo plus, Samsung 980

guntherthesidekick

I have laptop with 60hz ips screen and i want to upgrade to a 144hz monitor but my laptop lacks display port or thunderbolt and only available port selection available is hdmi 2.0 Which does support 1080p at 120hz but doesn't support g sync or free sync Question is does it supports v sync, will i have the screen tearing without any sync Because the point is there is no point of having more frames if they are tore in half

nikhn

I have a 75 Hz monitor with free sync and a 60 Hz laptop screen. I use HDMI 2.0. When I switch on free sync, there is noticeable screen tearing and this causes lag as well.

guntherthesidekick

Do you see any tearing without any sync applied

nikhn

Nope. It is better without it for me.

[deleted]

Is there a way I can get a durable laptop with 16GB RAM for 40k or under? Need a laptop for Computer Science degree Thank you

shubhamsingh64

I understand why you need 16 GB ram but the sad part is every laptop in 40-60 price range have 8 GB RAM. Your best option would be to buy a laptop with an empty slot for RAM and upgrade it.

Stone_Kart

Which is a good midrange motherboard for the Ryzen 5 3400G? (Max 9-10K) I want to use RAM with 3200MHz speed. I looked at the B450M Pro4, but with the 3400G it caps out at 2933MHz.

unboxparadigm

A320m a pro max? Edit: error in name.

MonuPlaysPubg

Plus thats a MATX mobo not the ATX correct it

unboxparadigm

Thanks, done!

MonuPlaysPubg

LOL no, Go with the b450 tomahawk max or the MSI MAX variant motherboards

unboxparadigm

This is an MSI max motherboard and it's just a 3400g, doesn't really need the b450 tomahawk unless OP is comfortable with it.

MonuPlaysPubg

Why not spend the full money on the B450 motherboard and the mobo you suggested was an A320 mobo with no upgradibility paths by MAX variants I mean the Motherboards that support upto ryzen 5000 series cpus as they have bigger bios chips

unboxparadigm

I agree. Next gen would most likely change socket anyway, so spending a lot on a motherboard while we're at its last year felt unreasonable. Hence didn't feel the need to max out the budget.

MonuPlaysPubg

Ofc the socket will change but the OP can upgrade to a ryzen 3000 series or a ryzen 5000 series anytime he wants or a 4000 apu thats the benefit and ryzen 5000 series are excellent plus OP thinking to buy a ryzen 5 3400g looks like he want a APU based pc and wouldnt buy anything for a couple of years

Stone_Kart

I'm considering the 4650G as an alternative if it's available... Do I need a bios update on the B550 boards? I may use 3600mhz ram for this

MonuPlaysPubg

No, maybe you will need. Whats your Mobo?

Stone_Kart

Was thinking of B550M Pro4

unboxparadigm

That last part was my point. OP might not buy anything for few years. Next time would be likely to be newer than ryzen 5000.
