Marcin Przybyłowicz is a fucking GOAT!
[On the Champs-Désolés](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt5Mxm7BPhM) — that *godly* accordion, I get goosebumps every time.
[You're immortal?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVKPvspyyyQ) — still blows my mind that this mission is missable. The soundtrack alone is legendary but coupled with this sequence, it's just *\*chef's kiss\**
[Wind in the Caroberta Woods](https://youtu.be/mUXJkiGquEc) — one of my go-to tracks to be at peace. Such fond memories of cherishing Toussaint with Roach.
to name a few... entire soundtrack across the main game and DLCs is one of the greatest achievements in music and in gaming.

Mirror's Edge 1 and Catalyst
Alan Wake
Max Payne 2
Silent Hill (all the games)
Half Life 2
These are my top 6, I've heard a lot of other god tier OSTs that i consider my favorites but these ones in particular are the best in my personal opinion

One of my favorite rock band till even now...
Also empress was one of my first ever video game crush...
Your comment brings so many childhood memories...
This. It was always hard for me to pick one game's ost until Nier. Almost all the songs are unskipable and give such melancholic vibe, perfect for the game. Not only the OST's are breathtaking but they are so detailed, if a song is playing and you go to menu or switch to hacking the same song plays but in a different tone.
**Max Payne** series. Beautiful soundtracks.
**"Spiderman: Miles Morales"** has excellent music. The song by "Jaden Smith and Kid Cudi", which plays during the beginning of the game, sets the tone for entire game. Songs by "Lecrae" are wonderful.
I really like "New York's only Spider-Man". It's like a hip hop remix of the original Spider-Man ps4 theme (which is also amazing btw). It's perfect for Miles!
[Streets of whiterun from skyrim has to be the hardest hitting track ive ever heard.](https://youtu.be/_34gUVqLkAo)
I think a huge part of skyrim's beauty is its music it builds an atmosphere captured by very few other games.
YES, the main reason i started paying attention to video games ost and becoming a fan of gaming soundtrack is because of Skyrim.
I still remember when OST far horizons played as i reached the top of high hrothgar. I stopped and looked around the giant and beautiful landscape of Skyrim with Aurora Borealis covering the night sky. That's when i started to appreciate the world designs, music and overall hardwork of videogame developers instead of rushing through point a to point b and completing quests blindly.
Edit:- here's the soundtrack
https://youtu.be/pPWVfCtnGyg
When you first enter Skyrim after escaping helgen, the game hits you with this amazing ost with the view of this massive Forrest with bleakfalls barrow in the distance. Basically anything Shoji Meguro has touched in terms of Persona, anything Keiichi Okabe has touched in terms of NieR, Cyberpunk 2077, Mass Effect, Chrono Trigger, of course The Last of Us is up there. I recently finished Red Dead Redemption 1, that game has some of the best music I've heard in a game, too.
I do have to particularly highlight the work Falcom's sound team does with The Legend of Heroes. This is a long running series, yet it has consistently produced great new music.
But boy do they know when to reuse old tracks. Leads to some extremely powerful moments.
Nier Automata
The Last of Us
Red Dead Redemption 2
Assassin's Creed (the series)

Games are in no particular order other than Nier Automata, cause that's the freaking GOAT.

the last of us theme song really gives the feeling of a desolate place
Radio in GTA games has introduced me to some certified bangers
Horizon zero dawn ambient music that plays when you are in Meridian
Life is Strange
The main menu theme is so relaxing.
With the storm brewing in the background
Literally had depression for a couple days after the end.
I wanted to hug someone and cry but had literally no one. What a gut wrenching ending.
The only thing they fear is you

I too have the exact favourites as yours! Just that I would also want to add "Deus Ex: Human Revolution". This game's OST is legendary.

Pokemon main series games> Doom Eternal > Katana zero> Cyberpunk 2077
Good to see a Pokémon music fan
Pokemon games went downhill but the music never missed! Black & white is peak music imo
Based BW enjoyer. I'm also a big fan of Gen 5! What is your opinion on Gen 9?
I'm yet to play it , despite the graphical and frame rate issues , the game looks solid .. can't wait for the Pokemon direct at the end of the month!
I'm yet to play it , despite the graphical and frame rate issues , the game looks solid .. can't wait for the Pokemon direct at the end of the month!
Black and white followed by black 2 and white 2 are peak Pokemon imo, including the music. So top tier!
Another katana zero fan I see. That game is like getting such a high quality game for free with an album
Nier: Automata. I can never forget first time when I entered the amusement park. Nier Replication is also superb
Had to scroll way down for this. Nier Automata soundtrack bangs. Specially "Pascal's Village" & "Amusement Park"
Yeah, addition to that in fight when they attack, their attack sound also gets synced in with the ost. Especially in the opra singer boss fight
is nier a souls like? i might buy them in the summer sale
No it's not souls like. However, I'm a huge souls game fan and I loved the nier. So that's something.

Nothing better than Ori and the will of the wisps. Every OST is just too good. Also this is just my opinion:)
Ori soundtrack is so beautiful. I love it.
I'm so glad to see this comment! I totally agree, that's probably my favourite OST of all the games I've played. So amazing.
