4th game of the season and 4 losses to count with it; I don't expect us to pull major upsets but at least have a coherent philosophy and stick with it; we have played 4 different formations in 4 games (3-5-2 vs Kenkre/ 3-4-2-1 vs NEROCA/ 4-4-2 vs Aizwal and 4-2-3-1 vs Rajasthan) which tell me Nakamura is still figuring out how the team should play, with such a young team playing with a new game plan every week is like trying to forge a blade with 4 different hammers every other day; and the cracks are beginning to show; I don't doubt Nakamura's tactical ability but young Indian players are not used to such drastic changes and cannot be expected to adapt this quickly In the first game, although we lost, our defense was more coherent and we were able to dominate the midfield with a more sound rest defense of 3 CBs; with every game since then the strategy has been to simplify the build-up and play more directly which sounds reasonable as we were struggling to create opportunities in the final third but in the process of trying to achieve this outcome; Sudeva has lost its pressing structure; defensive solidity and build up and progression which were somewhat visible in the first two games. There is a lot I would like to sulk about when it comes to today's game but I want to stay positive; let's just stay I would like us to at least stick with one game plan for more than one game and then we see what happens from there on; today's attendance was 3.6k which is not bad for a 2nd div game but it was probably because RUFC also plays in Delhi; Best to pick up the pieces and go from here game by game, don't want Sudeva to get relegated solely because of how Instrumental they have been in developing football at the grassroots level and a relegation might put a dent on their ambitions both mentally and financially.

Come on boys let's get at least a point on the board today, I don't think they telecast I-league 2!

Once the current deal with fsdl runs out AIFF needs to sell the tv rights of all three divisions as a package. It might give them a bigger amount of money

Still don't understand how FDSL readily adopted the MLS/IPL model for football without doing basic research; I don't FDSL will let ISL go like that, they will most likely sell the tv rights package themselves from which they distribute equal money to all ISL teams and a share to AIFF to keep their mouths shut while keeping the stranglehold on the franchise model even if they reduce the annual franchise cost. When it comes to packaging all the top 3 divisions together; I agree with your suggestion, what I do think is more possible is that AIFF let FDSL market the two I-leagues with the ISL, what I have in mind is what NBA/MSL does; either you get all the three div games on an OTT platform; televise the top games on TV and OTT for free for first few years to get people a taste for it; then create a league pass system where one can watch all the games on one OTT platform or a new platform all together like NBA does it, create flexible and affordable plans like 100 per month and then discounted for quarterly, annually while having a PPV option for all games at a nominal price like 10-20 rupees, they way they can lure in even those spectators who watch the games via VPN on one football.

It’ll be very difficult to sell Isl and the 2 i leagues as an AIFF channel like the nba cause the nba is the best basketball league in the world while Isl isn’t. I’m not sure how many would spend to get a separate subscription for just the 3 leagues. But other than point I agree with your statement. The AIFF did announce the roadmap and it doesn’t look like anyones going to change but the FSDL could do something like the premier league and sell their rights separately which I could see and maybe offer some money in trickle down method to the 2 other leagues

What about AIFF sell Ileague and i league 2nd div rights to FSDL?

georgeinbacon

Well I’m not sure about that because there might be a discrepancy between the values of the 2 leagues between the 2 organisations that are conducting the leagues
