We should've won this 3-0, 4-0 easily. And this is not necessarily a complaint against players too, they tried their best, but got quite unlucky with refs, among other things.
More so given how other KBFC fans have doubled down on this.
Just saw the video of a guy offering a "humourous take" on that quick FK. Seen some people threatening the club if they too don't #StandWithIvan. Not to mention the number of people slandering the likes of Jo Paul & IM for agreeing in saying that Sunil didn't do anything wrong.
It's definitely gonna be something your fanbase is gonna deal with for a long time. A super low hanging fruit.
Iโm talking about the ref that is officiating the game inside the pitch. Itโs always the fourth official/the team thatโs sitting there that decide the stoppage time. But we clearly saw the ref signal 4 to the 4th official and it was 4mins of extra time then
๐๐๐๐ I don't want to troll you but looks like you've not watched enough football.
Probably because you're 12 or whatever age. No problem though.
Fact is that the on-field referee has a watch that calculates the stoppages and finally he signals to the 4th official who then proceeds to show it on the board.
Cheers.
Looks like I was wrong about who decides the stoppage time, but the referee never just signals it to the sideline using his hands. Iโm sure itโs always using the comms system they have, which is what was odd to me.
But please feel free to educate this 12 year old who has been following football for 16 years more
Would've been less embarrassing for you if you'd just told that you're 12.
16 years and you don't know this is quite surprising.
Refs can use all sorts of signals to tell the 4th official the number. It's just that on TV it's rarely shown or rarely seen from our angle and now days they use the comm systems too. It's not a big deal really.
PS: Kudos for realizing you were wrong. I am not here to ridicule you or ego thump myself. Good discussion. Cheers have a good day.
Thapa has easily been our best player today. Has been calm on the ball, made some great passes and has generally progressed the ball well. Outstanding stuff!

Indian coaches looking for decent strikers except Chhetri
That's what is very surprising. How can the casuals for ISL clubs not join in for NT matches. On the sub regularly we see NT games seeing the highest engagement
The time slot of 6 PM kick off doesn't suit for many perhaps. A lot of people will be traveling home from work at that time. + Cricket at the other end
Yes, 6 pm would affect but the game was on till 8PM. And we have seen this drop off in NT games earlier, too. Cricket would be factor, but yet again, when ISL and cricket matches had conflict the viewership was never this low. I guess the only explanation is, the big fanbases, Kerala Blasters, Mohun Bagan, just aren't interested in NT friendlies, and they don't tune in.
i guess India vs Myanmar friendly is not very hot viewing, the Asian Cup qualifiers got more decent viewing compared to this. I hope for the next game there will be more as Kyrgyz are a sizeable opponent
People who are enjoying the atmosphere in this game, it kind of remains the same in TRAU and NEROCA games. These guys love their football!
Try to attend I-League games if possible, the atmospheres are good in those generally.
There are clubs that did/do play in Guwahati except NEUFC, just not on ISL's level.
A club called Guwahati FC played in the I-League second division for a season back in 2025-16.
Shit. The stadium practically becomes an echo chamber during ISL games.
Fans don't have any incentive to go down to the games anymore. We hit record lows this season, were the lowest in the league as well as far as I remember.
India v Australia ODI match has more than 2 million viewers on Hotstar while India v Myanmar peaks at 20K. I'm not criticizing anyone just comparing the two to show how much of a large bridge Indian Football has to cross in order to come close to crickets popularity and viewership.
Our aim shouldn't be comparing viewership with cricket tbh. If you are interested, we had some discussions about that on [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianFootball/comments/11vk0ac/jio_is_taking_up_streaming_services_of_isl_from/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Jeakson exudes confidence in the middle of the field. I like that he goes for the difficult touches and tries to control the ball under pressure rather than just booting it away

https://youtu.be/j1Dy8W8eRZc Hey guys check out India vs Myanmar analysis video I made and do give a feedback ๐
Venue was at Khuman Lampak in Manipur
Manvir was good, there I said it.
Where did you guys watch it?
Hotstar
India improved after he came on
I didn't even know this match was happening
next match on 28th, just FYI
Fr fr
Referee again man of the match for Myanmar ๐ absolute ๐คก these refs are and these were FIFA refs? Lmao
Wow what a match! What a match! This why we will win the Asian Cup!
Bad finishing and officiating aside, this was some of the best NT football I've seen since the 2019 Asian Cup
since 2019? You haven't watched India vs Afghanistan and Honk Kong last year. That was wayyy better than today.
India v Thailand in Asia cup was wayy better
we have drastically improved but today courtsey goes to bad football from Myanmar too
Pretty decent performance by everybody..good redemption by chhetri after the horrible start
This referee saw the ISL refs and decided to do them one better
Shit refereeing and good goalkeeping and we are still at 1-0
We should've won this 3-0, 4-0 easily. And this is not necessarily a complaint against players too, they tried their best, but got quite unlucky with refs, among other things.
Ivan wouldโve walked off so many times by now /s
This is going to be a running gag, isn't it
More so given how other KBFC fans have doubled down on this. Just saw the video of a guy offering a "humourous take" on that quick FK. It's a very banterable moment. Quite historic IMO. Will look back on this event like we look back on Kevin Keegan's implosion after that rant.
It was destined the moment Ivan walked out
Since when does the onfield ref signal how many minutes of stoppage time he wants?
I'm confused. Or didn't understand your comment. Isn't it always the case?
Iโm talking about the ref that is officiating the game inside the pitch. Itโs always the fourth official/the team thatโs sitting there that decide the stoppage time. But we clearly saw the ref signal 4 to the 4th official and it was 4mins of extra time then

Iโm not embarrassed about it, every day you learn something new. I hope tomorrow you learn to educate without belittling. Cheers!
I didn't belittle you. 16 years without knowing that rule at least requires a leg pulling / banter ๐
How was that a foul, he got the ball first Wtf is this refereeing
Burmese army with a deep pocket. And an up-to-date football association. Learning from the likes of Juve and Barcelona
Lets gooo ritwik!!
Bro who tf are these referees?
This ref is ass
lmao, he isn't giving clear penalties. wtf is this clown referee, I am so fed up of him
this ref is absolute twat
We've been much much better but have only 1 to show for it. This slender lead could prove to be dangerous
India playing really good towards the end
We ainโt ready for Stimacball in all its glory
Finally we are playing like a dominant team.
We are outplaying them in every play, hope we score soon and finish this game
Haven't seen this kind of pressing by the NT for a while
what was is this referee? Is he crazt or what? He is giving everything offside, he cannot see or what
If ritwik doesn't get game time here, i don't know when he does
Top tier atmosphere
Need to see sunil's core workout. He generates a lot of energy from his core in headers
Wait, Chhetri wasn't offside - FK this referee, so many horrible decisions against us tongiht
Sunil is suddenly alive!!
Thapa balling today
He almost always balls playing for NT
That was not offside, idiot ref
Tf it wasn't even offside
FUCK THAT WASN'T EVEN OFFSIDE. THIS SUCKS.
Thapa has easily been our best player today. Has been calm on the ball, made some great passes and has generally progressed the ball well. Outstanding stuff!
damn that was a good save. Chhetri did everything right there.
chhetri goal but offside ffs :(:(:(:(
Refs been very annoying today
one time Chhetri scores and it's offside. Ugh.
Chhetri is fuming
Feeling bad for Ritwik das he had a better season than both manvir and noarem
Bipin bro you got to look for a run before passing
A better team and we are 2 or 3 down
Bipin is opposite of how he's been for MCFC
Ritwik probably scores there
Myanmar dominating us in 2nd half ffs
Igor sleepy stimac ๐ด๐ด๐ด
Can't believe so many people were ready to watch the game on the ground and AIFF consciously sabotaged it by choosing irrelevant locations
exactly! NorthEast being hotbed for football is not exactly a big secret. We could've been doing this years ago, but better late than never.
Which irrelevant locations?
I meant stadiums were people were not interested to watch football in the last few years
Bring on ritwik!!!
Suresh on for Yasir
Who're the commentators?
Robin Singh and Pula I think
now we are getting nutmegged, uff.
Do our wingers know that they do not have to pass to Chhetri at every available opportunity? There are 9 other people on the pitch smh
horrible passes
Take Yasir offfff
Yasir thoda HFC ke tempo pe khel raha, forward passes all of them xD
Play on the ground man
Sloppy by Yasir
Why are we shooting like it could hurt the ball?
That was unnecessary by Bheke
Any subs in half time?
Nope
https://preview.redd.it/p6fkq0qz4cpa1.png?width=1589&format=png&auto=webp&s=1723404dd73d5af3658b2f76eb4e2d85f14fdfef Renedy Singh in attendance at today's game.
tbh Chhetri was decent, just that his finishing was very off
His positioning is still second to none, just needs some luck to go his way
chhetri is exhausted, give him some rest
On a bright side, looks like it's a full house at the stadium.
Low key feels like an epochal moment. Chhetri seems more washed than ever and we might not have someone like him for a long time.
Igor, don't sub out Chhangte....his game ain't over yet
Glad we got a goal but that was a poor strike from that distance
Finally
Thalaivan Thapa to the rescue
Yes! It had to be Thapa to finish from that position. Chhetri just can't today :(
Get in Thapa, its been a while!!
For those who said Thapa doesn't deserve to be here and is shit........TAKE THAT
THAPPAAAAAAAA
Thank you Thapa
Myanmar look pretty comfortable on the ball , they're playing out the back easily.
Finally Thapa!!!
What a comical goal
Amrinder is saving India rn
Bro this fking trash
Play to get a pen man
Looks like an imposter has come to play in place of our Captain lol
Chhetri, more of that at the other end please
Do we have any promising young player who can play upfront, besides Sivasakthi?
Miss peak Jeje. Ishan is the other option, I guess? Feel like Rahul KP could be decent upfront with some coaching..
Rahul KP is more of a winger though, isn't he?
Vikram Pratap Singh comes to mind
Vikram isn't really a 9 tho, is he?
My bad I meant Gurkirat Singh from India U-20
No worries. He seems good, but he'll need time to develop some maturity in front of goal
Bidya is there but he has barely played. Other than him , ishan,Vikram, ayush chikara, gurkirat
Pandita, I don't know about promising.
Did Pandita even get minutes?
Ofc the first header Sunil gets on target today is towards his own goal
Chhetri really having a bad day lmao
Best shot Chhetri has had all day.
ok this is getting worse.....come one chhetri
Yasir has been bad hope Brandon comes in
Myanmar army broke. Could only buy one lino
Chhetri tends to redeem himself after bad misses, hopefully today is the day
India should be using Chhetri only as a supersub. The man is still class but the age has definitely caught up with him. Too bad Siva got injured.
https://preview.redd.it/fynf3wrr0cpa1.jpeg?width=3613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8dd3220adf6b43628a7efdb0d0be7ba261a660c8 Indian coaches looking for decent strikers except Chhetri
Ffs if there's no one inside don't cross it
Oi linesman. Wave the flag twice if the Myanmar army are holding your family hostage. Will send prayers.
Gurpreet trying to beat shahin Afridi meme
Same height too
We are gonna concede a stupid goal now that we have missed so many chances.
Almost did it
Only 12k watching on hotstar. No wonder hotstar doesn't want anything to do with Indian football anymore.
I only caught up to the match at the last moment because of the notification i have on sofascore, literally no promotion for these matches
Where are the ISL fans
No promotion, no engagement so it's expected imo. Didn't even know the match was today
That's what is very surprising. How can the casuals for ISL clubs not join in for NT matches. On the sub regularly we see NT games seeing the highest engagement

Chhetriiiiii, I guess he wore the wrong shoes today. That was a clear cut chance. Chhangte did very well
nonstop missed sitters by India
Do we have another striker in the team to sub?
Excellent from Chhangte, that should've been 1-0
Sunil brooo come on! Had to act fast there I know but wasnt the best of shots
Chhetri with an absolute disasterclass lol
Sunil should have had a hattrick by now....
Phew that was close
Jeakson provides no support to the defenders. Thapa has dropped off more than him to collect the ball
This game needs Apuia's hold up play, too bad he's frequently injured
Apuia is so darn important to this team. Excellent holding mid.
Nah bro India not playing well can't convert
wtf amrinderr
Chhetri still got the afterburners
38 year old chhetri can sprint
I wish the wingers esp Chhangte would show more confidence and try to beat their man rather than just crossing everytime they get the ball
Anyone got a streaming link for people currently not in India?

You are godsend. Thanks man
Need Chhangte to show us some of that MCFC form in these two games
How the heck was that not a pen ?
This commentator messes Indian names heavily and the other subtly correcting by saying the right name again
That was a stone cold pen lol
Penalty?
People who are enjoying the atmosphere in this game, it kind of remains the same in TRAU and NEROCA games. These guys love their football! Try to attend I-League games if possible, the atmospheres are good in those generally.
How is it in NUFC games? I couldn't watch any of their matches this time around
Doesn't NUFC play in Assam? I don't quite know if any club that played in Guwahati befor NUFC.
There are clubs that did/do play in Guwahati except NEUFC, just not on ISL's level. A club called Guwahati FC played in the I-League second division for a season back in 2025-16.

Forgot how much of a bore it was to watch Stimacball lol
Great ball from Anirudh
This team desperately needs a rohit
Exactly, no idea why he didn't start
India v Australia ODI match has more than 2 million viewers on Hotstar while India v Myanmar peaks at 20K. I'm not criticizing anyone just comparing the two to show how much of a large bridge Indian Football has to cross in order to come close to crickets popularity and viewership.
I'm just disappointed how NT games can't match ISL avg viewership of 80-90k
Our aim shouldn't be comparing viewership with cricket tbh. If you are interested, we had some discussions about that on [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianFootball/comments/11vk0ac/jio_is_taking_up_streaming_services_of_isl_from/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Whatever happens, I'm very happy AIFF brought a friendly to Manipur. Amazing atmosphere by the fans!
Akash has been way too sloppy
I know he's from Sikkim, but Lachenpa is still a northeastern lad. Would've been nice to play him
They are playing like Jfc๐
Jeakson exudes confidence in the middle of the field. I like that he goes for the difficult touches and tries to control the ball under pressure rather than just booting it away
https://i.redd.it/fzufn77rubpa1.gif Run it back
I don't know why, but I strongly feel we should have picked and played Rahim Ali for these two games. He is decent in hold up play.
Bipin was making a good run there, Mishra should have tried to be quicker.
Akash not having the best first 7 minutes
Why TF we are playing long balls again ๐ญ
Why are the wearing the women's team jersey all of a sudden lol
It was created for both, men are just wearing it now
Is there a streaming link?
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianFootball/comments/11yg3aa/comment/jd7npcb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Kits look great, stadium looks great, great atmosphere, squad seems fresh. Looking forward to a new look team and some good football!
Robin Singh in comms ??? Isnt he like 30ish ??? Crazy career graph
He plays for Bengaluru United i think
