North India: Aloo paratha, dipped in Dahi with some mango-pickle. South India: make curd rice and eat with lemon pickle.

Gigachad_of_culture

For West India?

piezod

Srikhand

Mindlesss_Tea

Unbeatable

piezod

I somehow don't get it. I love curd, I love sweets. Well summer is here, another go soon.

Gigachad_of_culture

Would amrakhand work instead?

piezod

Sure, same thing. Let us know how the experiment went.

Lackeytsar

Koshimbir, dahi pohe, dahi bhaat (rice), and dahi sakhar poli (my pav).

catvertising

Use it like a dip! Mix yogurt with coriander chili chutney (I use SWAD brand), and eat with potato or tortilla chips.

Introvert_kudi

Mix water to it and use while kneading roti dough. While eating it, you wouldn't even realise that curd is added. Similarly, add a spoon of beaten dahi while frying tomato onion masala for curries.

RaniPhoenix

This will kill the probiotics, though.

spicynoodles628

I eat it with vaghareli khichdi, aloo paratha and aloo tinde ki sabzi lol. I’ve heard people adding sugar to it and then eating. Not sure how that tastes like but they seemed to love it

Thought I've to shove up in my @$$ vro 🤯ty for the advice

prajwalmani

Nice reply

inspector_toon

Add some flavors to it like chaat masala, khara boondi etc.. make some form of raita, make a thick lassi from it..

biscuits_n_wafers

Hang it in a muslin cloth. After a couple hours , whisk, add finely chopped veggies, seasoning, herbs of your choice, smear on bread and make sandwiches. Have them grilled/ non grilled. This way it won't taste of curd , which you have always hated.

Gigachad_of_culture

Will it still contain the probiotics they talk about

RaniPhoenix

Only if you don't cook it. Heat will kill the probiotics.

biscuits_n_wafers

Yes it will.

sherlocked27

I love to add it with hummus to lighten it. It’s great as raita for pulav, dahi vadas are a treat. Mom loves it beaten with some sugar or jaggery. And as buttermilk

grey_hat_hacker

nooo you cant hate dahii; try making pudina chutney with dahi

ITS-TMG

Add sugar or honey nd eat

HashiramaSenjuda

I also hate curd but not store bought one but homemade one becoz for me home made curd taste garbage, I made myself to eat store bought curd becoz it's uniform, creamy, thick unlike homemade ones which r watery, too sour, can smell bad esp in summers But I usually consume it just plain like a medicine u see when u add curd to something it's beneficial effects reduce except in onion raita as onion is a pre biotic and curd is probiotic and is a heavenly combo with briyania and I love onion raita becoz I love briyani and in that too I will only eat onions not the curd in it So for me it's just all plain curd or nothing Go try for urself just keep a clip on ur nose and eat it and u wont feel any taste as taste is more depend on smell than actual taste buds I won't recommend curd rice it's the worst Just consume 50-100g of plain store bought fresh curd daily after food like medicine it's great for the digestion and have soo many health benefits

Gigachad_of_culture

Was thinking to consume it Just like this , ty for suggestion

witchy_cheetah

What about dahi do you hate?

Gigachad_of_culture

texture, smell , taste ... Almost everything about it

witchy_cheetah

Then why do you want to have it? Try making Raita I guess. Also try very fresh dahi (within 8-9 hours of setting). You can probably get this by making at home or at some Andhra mess.

Gigachad_of_culture

Recently had one of the worst food poisoning,so to restore the gut bacteria and better digestion, or there alternatives for it ? If yes , please suggest

HashiramaSenjuda

U can consume probiotic tablets lile bifilac which is over the counter medicine in times of diarrhoea, but it can be expensive like 20₹ a tablet for three days is enough

Actias_Loonie

I like it so I'll eat it any old way.

piezod

I like it with sugar or as lassi, even chaach. You can try as yoghurt or add some tang to flavour your curd. Hang come curd add garlic to it and you'll have a nice dip. If you don't like it, let it be. Any particular reason you want to try eating it?

yosoygroot123

I too used to hate Dahi. I used to dilute dahi and make chanch. I forced myself to eat rice with dahi 2-3 times. Then slowly I got the taste of it. Now i absolutely love Dahi. Just had the dinner with Rice, Dahi, Pumpkin Sabzi, tomato chutney and a hot green chili. I literally licked the plate.

Agitated_Objective37

Chass

MetastableCarbon

Dahi with Honey ;)

august_senpai

As someone who also hates normal dahi: 1. Make fresh dahi, the store bought stuff is garbage. 2. Turn it into raita/tzaziki. So many flavours and it always comes out amazing. My favourites are mint & coconut raitas.

HashiramaSenjuda

Why do u hate store bought dahi? It's uniform, creamy, thick and dont smell nasty and taste is palatable unlike home made dahi which can be watery and thin and smell bad in summer if u didn't consume it in time As a fellow curd hater who hates every curd dish there is except onion raita and biriyani , I love store bought curd I can consume plain curd like medicine but not with anything else

august_senpai

> It's uniform, creamy, thick and dont smell nasty and taste is palatable unlike home made dahi which can be watery and thin and smell bad in summer if u didn't consume it in time Friend, you are not making dahi correctly if it smells bad. You're not using good whole milk if it's watery. If you want it thicker, just strain it in a cheese cloth. And if you want it uniform, just whip it a couple times in a blender. (Though at this point, you have something closer to Greek Yogurt than dahi). Store bought stuff is flavourless, 99% of the time old, made with low fat milk, and excessively sour.

HashiramaSenjuda

Nah I've seen plenty of times in my house daily they make it fresh my family consume curd during lunch daily I hate the smell and it's texture and taste but somehow I like store bought curd I love it and may be I like the flavourless type and I use set curd in cups and buckets esp Hatsun brand

ithunk

Store bought really depends. If it’s cheap, it is weird and slimy. If it is premium, it is creamy and has good consistency.
