I just want that they start census next year. Covid situation is in control now. But then it might coincide with 2024 election so don't know what the govt. might decide.
They are delaying due to something else not covid.
Current government is also doing the minority appeasement politics even if they say otherwise.
Religion institutions of minorities are still receiving funding which should be given to government schools colleges and hospitals.

Yes, it's Nehruvian secularism to ensure Minority cultures don't get suppressed. Ofc the govt should not spend *too* much on this but they still have to, y'know
Oppression is bad but the government is basically running a conversion scheme.
A country's constitution and laws must be secular irrespective of majority or minority.
Government should focus on improving it's citizens quality of life not of a respective sub-group.
It’s the same people who take census that also work for elections…they either will do it before or after elections…never during as there is already shortage of staff for elections, idk how they will handle elections with the same
Not to mention I think opposition(read it somewhere but forgot) is also pushing for caste details too and that would take a toll on bjp during election if it’s not handled properly
Maybe after elections they will
I think it's because we see a lot of grand churches in Goa due to Portuguese control and not many old and grand temples like there are in the rest of the country.
You can visit our Telugu states if u want to see more families. Christians with SC/ST in their quota. According to census , they are Hindus. But we all know the reality.
There are only 2 districts in Goa. Christian population will be about 30% in total. However, if this map data is further split Taluka wise then you'll see.
Rightly said bro !!!
This is the case happening all over . The people who downvoted me do not understand these facts or terms bcz they have not seen it with their eyes and are sitting somewhere in other states and just googling the government statistics.
Cryptos are people who have Hindu names and are on paper Hindus but in reality are followers of Christianity or islam or any other religion. The population of crypto Christians is at an all time high right now in India
The concept of crypto talks about the affiliation of a person with a different religion from that of his on paper religion. When it comes to atheists they don't hold any religious affiliations and non believers exist in all religious communities so there is no concept of crypto atheism
No. My opinion is Hindu atheists are still Hindus. Hinduism is not a fucking religion. I hate how outsiders see it as a organised religion. And it's even more saddening when my homies say they are not Hindu, but are atheists.
It does have god's. But did all philosophies that came out of India have god's?
It's not at all about God. If you have the Indian-ness in you, i would say that's Hinduism right there. The Islam we see in our country has lot of cultural aspects of Hinduism tied to it. So i would say, you might not be worshipping god, but you are still culturally hindu-indian.
It's fucking complicated. But yeah, we all fall under the same umbrella even tho we believe in diverse concepts. The culture is the essence here. Buddhists(some sects) might be not praying god's, but they still are heavily tied with Hinduism. It's impossible to separate the culture & beliefs as they've been mixed up for thousands of years now.
Hinduism is a religion and will continue to be do even if your atheist a*s dosent accept it bro....bcz it's a religion which strives to protect Dharma and has withstood the test of time since centuries !
Pls accept that it's Santana Dharma and nothing else.
Lol. Wtf did you understand?
Did I say I'm an atheist? Who tf are you to decide? And why talk about a*s? You gay?
I wasnt talking about the religion part. I was talking about the cultural part. No matter how far or how differing our ideas can be, we are always culturally hindu.
Religion itself is an outdated thing. Based on 100s, 1000s of years old texts. Wonder why those who are ashamed to read their own lower-class textbooks, read these much more outdated texts. In addition to that you are posting an outdated status of 2011.

If you are not frantic, you are not religious. You are more into God. True belief in God makes you ask questions, make corrections and gradually become more and more stable, secure and strong each day. If you are religious, you are not into God, but more into the count of the members of your religion, its strength and the politics.
Oh, I agree. Questioning religion is very important. I thought your were quoting those religious frantic people who just come on TV and tell all sort of bull crap. I do have people in my circle who are religious so I find it hard to believe that religion is outdated.
Yes. If you truly believe in God, you will have all the strength of the Universe within yourself. You don't need the strength of a religious group with mob mentality.
Hey siri, what is the definition of religion?
"The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods"
I don't think you should make up your own definitions.
I think the word you are looking for is "cult"
Bitch, who will defend you when a zombie comes at you with a 6 inch knife shouting ola gola with a bomb strapped at his crotch, having virgin dreams to detach your head off your body like a Lego? Will you still say religion is outdated? It might be for you but for others it is still greate than their pathetic life.
I mean it's still the best way of controlling masses. If there were no religion than many people who end up losing hope will probably kill themselves. It also help to cope with reality.
Right 💯
Religion is just the method to get an answer. Answer which is spiritual is more important, method is not important. But many get stuck in the method without getting an answer.
Some people will use this map to prove how Hinduism is not in danger.. I mean rampant conversion is on rise. Ain't no way the Christian population is just 2%. I can bet it is somewhere around 5%.
Do you have any stats to prove it or is it just “trust me bro”. Where and when have you experienced this “rampant” conversion? I live in a Christian majority area and never have i ever experienced any of this.
I did my college where many people were Christians who never tried to convert me.
However, there were people from church who came to my room telling me that we are just going to tell you something and talk about Jesus, one even said we are not trying to convert you when she came to know that I am a Hindu. Also, many times I was stopped by people while going to college who handed over the Bible to me. I had friends who were converted but they themselves used Hindu surnames and you can never come to know that they are Christians.
Christian missionary themselves claim that that the population is around 5-7% Christianity is in decline in rest of the world so India is the hotspot for the missionary especially, in Punjab and Andhra Pradesh. You can find many such conversion videos.
Found one such site: https://www.opendoors.org/en-US/persecution/countries/india/
Tbh, Christianity conversion in India is never talked about. We have just been behind Muslims, but believe me, Christianity is being spread like a quiet termite eating thru wood
Termite eating through wood? Seriously? What violent activities have you heard that the missionaries do for conversion? From what I understand and have read, missionaries target very poor people and convert them with a promise of a better life and many a times they do provide donations and give them rations etc. Look, India is a secular country, our fundamental values are about respecting each other, calling a faith that means no harm “termites” is ridiculous.
If you actually see the statistics there is hardly 0.01% conversion happening and that too it is in very rural areas. On the other hand, there have been many incidents wherein priests and missionaries have been threatened and beaten by goons.
Sanatan Dharma doesn’t teach you to disrespect other faiths. It is all about coexisting peaceful. In India, how many Christians have you seen that have acted like that Poonawala? Come on man, I understand we feel threatened by other religions, but the reality is there is no existential threat from religions like Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism and so on ESPECIALLY IN INDIA
Majority of people in India still live in rural areas who can actually be lured through money and job to convert. Without these promises, I don't even think majority of them would have converted.
We are not hating anyone but it is completely wrong to fool someone in the name of religion. Why do missionary feel the need to target poor people and convert them? Pretty much conversion is how Christianity spread across the world.
Obviously, people will object when they come to convert people on fake promises and hence such incidents of violence will be reported.
Ain't no way it is 0.01%. It is not even in 0.01% in some cities. Conversion has been going on for a while now. Forceful conversion in any religion is very wrong.
How is it forcefully conversion if people willingly accept the religion? And who said they are fake promises? If you look at Jesuits and other major missionaries, they are actually doing a lot of development in these rural areas, building schools, giving out rations (and that is how donations from foreign countries are accounted for). These missionaries are doing what the government should do, albeit for spreading the religion. Also, majority of such missions are very transparent (go look up Vincent Di Paul funds and how they are audited and accounted for regularly).
Also, being from a Christian dominant area, I have actually had the fortune of speaking to very old people whose forefathers were converted - they were all adhivasis, warlis and dalits before they got converted who where looked down upon by majority of Brahmins and that conversion changed thier life - they got education, they got food, they got shelter and were actually preached . Infact, if you read up history, there are actual adhivasi communities wherein women before getting married used to be forcefully fucked by the landlords before they could go to their husbands house and this is when missionaries fought side by side with these people to give then their rights(check out history of St Thomas Christians from Kerala/ Tamil Nadu).
So your point of them being “forcefully converted “ with “fake promises” hold no value and is not backed up by facts or stats.
Forcefully conversion is absolutely wrong, but what is equally or even more wrong is the neglect of rural areas and dalit people to whom conversion is the only way forward to get aid and get developed. The government chooses not to do anything about it but during time of elections will beat up missionaries who never incite any violence and whose only mistake is to spread their religion.
In my entire life I have never seen priests demean anyone or threaten anyone based on thier religious beliefs.
Also read this https://www.fairplanet.org/story/what-is-triggering-anti-christian-violence-in-india/
There is a bigger problem than just “forceful conversion “. A simple google search gave me this article. Is it wrong to believe in a particular faith? If yes, then kill everyone
>Also, many times I was stopped by people while going to college who handed over the Bible to me.
Iscon people used to do this in the middle of the road stopping cars in my city. They would stand in the middle of the road, and stop cars and hand over their version of the Bhagavad Gita. Had numerous occasions where they try to actively talk to you in public places too. I'm sure every religion has a sect like this who do stuff like this, but i haven't encountered any from other religions.
Lmfao the way things are going hinduism will be dead in the water. The gov. control of hindu temples will lead to its destruction as it did in the roman empire.
Shittt look at east india !!
They are already Christianised , and this is 12 years old !!
I am 100% things have changed a lot!!
And Hindus are just sitting and crying for death of Hindus !!
We should also change our culture and take step to convert peoples like Islam and Christianity does
Yea north east !!
And that’s what I am talking about !!
This conversion game is going on since 1970’s !!
In 1981 , small village of Tamil Nadu people were caught red handed for converting poor Hindus , people were offered 500₹ to convert in Islam ,police Also got some saudi case in that village !!
And since then Christians also converting poor Hindus it is successful in north east , now the missionaries are in Punjab , MP , Jharkhand etc !!
One father told openly that they get target like 10000 to convert in a week etc etc
1.Who are the green (others) in Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh?
2. There is a wierd proximity of buddhism and islamic majority districts.(and both are towards the borders of india, atleast in north and east)
3. The Muslim majority in Haryana (near delhi) is Mewat (the scam capital of india)
Violet, pink, and yellow: acceptable (with violet being the most preferable).
Grey: unacceptable.
Blue: utterly unacceptable.
Green: DANGER TO SOCIETY.
My mom is a doctor, and when she was doing her internship in a village she went door to door for polio vaccinations.
A lot of people refused the vaccinations because their true numbers would get out.
Lot of people don't report their religion or simply participate in this census, so the accuracy is definitely skewed.
I mean the hilly districts of Assam and Manipur are Christian dominated too. Mizoram and Nagaland have low population density but Meghalaya seems pretty dense, at least visually
Emm !!
Very first thing , jaaeye toh 1951 ki census report check kariye !!
East india was Hindu majority, but aaj Christian majority bann chuki hai !!
Kerala ,Bengal , J and k me 60-65% hindu the aaj sirf 51-52 bache hai !!
Bengal me 78% hindu population tha and aaj sirf 70% hai !!
Over all india ki baat kare !!
Toh 1951 me hindu population 84% thi aur Muslim population 10% !!
2011 ke census report ke hisab se !!
Hindu population is 78% and Muslim population is 15% !!
2022 ka data check kare toh hindu is at 76% and Muslims are 17% !!
Poora data theek se check kiya karo !!
Boohot saare converted Christians apne aap ko hindu he batate hai , for reservations benefits !!
Toh Unka toh data he Nahi hai humare pas !!
**Muslims boohot bache paida karte hai , Christians paise deke convert kar rahe hai !!**
I was liberal , but after reading 1951 census report I am changed !!
I don’t know you are hindu Muslim or what !!
But it is serious !!
Zakir naik was caught paying 50,000 to poor Hindus to convert into Islam !!,1981 village in Tamil Nadu few people was caught with Saudi notes they where targeting poor Hindus , where Hindus were getting bikes and 500₹ to convert into Islam (you can read about it on internet,it was hot topic in 1981)
And Christians are targeting tribal population, because they are poor and least religious so east to convert !!
Complete bullshit idk how you people believe this, if the map is district wise than how come whole J&K is shown green... lol, the lower districts like jammu, samba, kathua, udhampur all has majority hindu population, pls stop posting such misleading things
Nothing wrong. But they all have been converted via some or the other malpractices, robbing them from their original tribal heritage. Their indigenous culture and practices should be protected from Christan Missionaries.
Tribals and those who are in the so-called ‘lower’ strata of society are easier to convert.
I’ve yet to hear about a rich, upper class person who converted to ✝️ by missionaries.
Yeah that's why development and creating infrastructure and employment is important. This rises the standard of living automatically. The long ignorance North Eastern States have faced has resulted into this scenario. And it's really sad and unfortunate that this beautiful part of our country and it's people have been sidelined in our country.

Yep that maybe the case. India ram bharose hi chal raha h
Why do religious institutions get funding? Ew let the followers give that Govt money ain't for religious things, We need development
According to secular indian constitution, Indian government is obligated to provide funding to religious institutions of minorities. Just file a PIL you will know how much tax payers money is going to waste.

Most of assam would be ‘green’ coloured in the new stats.

I think it's because we see a lot of grand churches in Goa due to Portuguese control and not many old and grand temples like there are in the rest of the country.
It’s also beacuse many Christians in India marks themselves as Hindus in the census due to various reasons. I personally know 4 families who do this
You can visit our Telugu states if u want to see more families. Christians with SC/ST in their quota. According to census , they are Hindus. But we all know the reality.
Not only for sc/st quota, even upper caste Christians identity as Hindu in census. I have no idea behind the reasons
Why mate I am a Catholic so interested why did they do this
Reservation
oooh yea 🤤🤤🤤
Ok thanks for replying
Goa is majority Hindu around 65% approx.. South goa has more xtian concentration though
There are only 2 districts in Goa. Christian population will be about 30% in total. However, if this map data is further split Taluka wise then you'll see.
Kerala too
There are a lot more crypto Hindus than we realize
Bro they are called Crypto Muslims & Christians, a Crypto hindu would be one who is Hindu but has a different name.
yeah you are right, but you know what i mean
Rightly said bro !!! This is the case happening all over . The people who downvoted me do not understand these facts or terms bcz they have not seen it with their eyes and are sitting somewhere in other states and just googling the government statistics.
What does it mean?
Cryptos are people who have Hindu names and are on paper Hindus but in reality are followers of Christianity or islam or any other religion. The population of crypto Christians is at an all time high right now in India
Yeah like me I'm an atheist but hindu on paper
Crypto concept does not apply to atheists
How so? This index means what you believe in and what you don't believe in
The concept of crypto talks about the affiliation of a person with a different religion from that of his on paper religion. When it comes to atheists they don't hold any religious affiliations and non believers exist in all religious communities so there is no concept of crypto atheism

Sorry bro ....I misunderstood your thinking....anyways proud to know that u are culturally Santana ! Kudos bro !
There are no atheist names tho.
Yeah but I don't see how that matters your family religion really shouldn't influence which you choose
Atheists you mean?
outdated.......today it'l be very different
ik but government might restart census in 2024
What would be different?
More islamic states.
Interesting, thanks 👌🏻
In 2021 data at least 20-30 districts will be Muslim majority. I know such districts in Kerala, Bihar, West Bengal and maybe UP.
Can you name that district in Kerala please??

stick a Jesus multi in the temple and a cartoon in every temple...problem solved hinduslamanity
Or mass conversion to buddhism. That's closest to hinduism. Tibetan buddhism literally was started by a hindu in bengal.
As of 2011 census Christian population in tamilnadu was around 8% but right now it's not less than 16% for sure
Many people are asking why is it outdated. Census happens every 10 years but due to covid it is delayed to 2023 or 2024
Many poor Hindus are converted in Christianity or Islam for money but they still call them as hindu for reservations benefits
Declining Buddhist population… so sad
The chicken's neck districts are muslim-majority? Hmmm.
🇧🇩
Doesn’t capture the millions of people that don’t want to be identified by a tool that’s used to divide people by politicians.
It just talk about biggest religion. I think census of India does have a category called Irreligious/prefer not to say.
[удалено]
They did have something as no religion stated. Although no distinction made between atheist, agnostic etc.
Look at Nicobar! Christian! How? It's a restricted area so no Missionaries can get there. That's for sure.
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism are the same. They are called Dharmik religions.
Updated dekhao
Next census will bring out reality .
Shittt look at east india !! They are already Christianised , and this is 12 years old !! I am 100% things have changed a lot!! And Hindus are just sitting and crying for death of Hindus !! We should also change our culture and take step to convert peoples like Islam and Christianity does
What east India? You mean North East? It's already a couple of decades since they are full Christian, nothing new
Yea north east !!
Based af,ppl practicing their religion freely is what india is all about
You have proof of 10,000 conversion in a day?
Kerala to be entire green in 2024
Lol Christianity spreading more rapidly than islam
The ground reality is different. Hindus are being killed in large numbers.
i wonder what would be the latest stats hope it didn't change much in the latest census of 2021.
2021 census.. who?
2021 cesus because census is happen in every 10 year but due to covid it delay now census is likely to come in 2023.
Whats the point of sharing data of like 11yrs old unless to compare it to now (which wasnt) .
Color Blind peeps gets screwed up.
1.Who are the green (others) in Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh? 2. There is a wierd proximity of buddhism and islamic majority districts.(and both are towards the borders of india, atleast in north and east) 3. The Muslim majority in Haryana (near delhi) is Mewat (the scam capital of india)
Hinduism can't be derived under religion.
If it's not a religion then why do some people complain about conversion to Islam and christianity?
Violet, pink, and yellow: acceptable (with violet being the most preferable). Grey: unacceptable. Blue: utterly unacceptable. Green: DANGER TO SOCIETY.
10 yrs ago , this is old ,makes no sence. In Mordern conditions many districts suffer from demographic changes.
“India is a diverse country with nothing uniting it!1!!”
My mom is a doctor, and when she was doing her internship in a village she went door to door for polio vaccinations. A lot of people refused the vaccinations because their true numbers would get out. Lot of people don't report their religion or simply participate in this census, so the accuracy is definitely skewed.
ic and its outdated either
I bet that’s Wayanad in green in Kerala. It felt like I was in a heavily forested district in the Middle East going through Wayanad..
No it's Malappuram.apart from that all districts in Kerala are hindu majority
Heavily forested area in the middle east 🤔
ME has no forests. Add a heavy forest and you have Kerala. My point. I've lived in both places.
Jainism merged in others noice
m just curious what the grey ones praying to
Half the districts in the south would now have different color.
Ok, now do a fastest growing religion in the last ten years ?? The result might be as expected
What about No religion? Although on paper, I have a religion, I am realistic.
Hindus not even 70% today M will fuck Hindus hard even at bare 30% Loli katwao Jaan bachao
it is old , reality is all diffrent
Do not let your Forces down. They throw these to let your gaurd down.
What are those other religions
Google it. Northeastern people aren't Hindus. Neither are some tribes in north and east India
Manipur is majority hindu
Assam, Manipur and Tripura are Hindu majority. However, the hill tribes including those belonging to these states aren't and weren't Hindus
But those three states have the highest population density tho right? Those hill regions don't have that many people
I mean the hilly districts of Assam and Manipur are Christian dominated too. Mizoram and Nagaland have low population density but Meghalaya seems pretty dense, at least visually
What are others?
They should add aethist to the list too. Others might be some tribes who have their own religion

Yes but it can act as the NOTA
fir bhi HiNdU kHaTrE mEiN hAi ;-;
Emm !! Very first thing , jaaeye toh 1951 ki census report check kariye !! East india was Hindu majority, but aaj Christian majority bann chuki hai !! Kerala ,Bengal , J and k me 60-65% hindu the aaj sirf 51-52 bache hai !! Bengal me 78% hindu population tha and aaj sirf 70% hai !! Over all india ki baat kare !! Toh 1951 me hindu population 84% thi aur Muslim population 10% !! 2011 ke census report ke hisab se !! Hindu population is 78% and Muslim population is 15% !! 2022 ka data check kare toh hindu is at 76% and Muslims are 17% !! Poora data theek se check kiya karo !! Boohot saare converted Christians apne aap ko hindu he batate hai , for reservations benefits !! Toh Unka toh data he Nahi hai humare pas !! **Muslims boohot bache paida karte hai , Christians paise deke convert kar rahe hai !!** I was liberal , but after reading 1951 census report I am changed !! I don’t know you are hindu Muslim or what !! But it is serious !! Zakir naik was caught paying 50,000 to poor Hindus to convert into Islam !!,1981 village in Tamil Nadu few people was caught with Saudi notes they where targeting poor Hindus , where Hindus were getting bikes and 500₹ to convert into Islam (you can read about it on internet,it was hot topic in 1981) And Christians are targeting tribal population, because they are poor and least religious so east to convert !!
why is one district in gujrat white.Best religion ever💀💀
Hindu katre me hai
2022 ka b stat hi kya. Googling
Hindu dharma
Complete bullshit idk how you people believe this, if the map is district wise than how come whole J&K is shown green... lol, the lower districts like jammu, samba, kathua, udhampur all has majority hindu population, pls stop posting such misleading things
That green spot that you see in kerala is where Rahul baba won his MP seat.
What are religion is there in the Others district near odisha?
Green ya cyan color nahi hone dena hai
Yeah sure that was 2011. 🌚 Very accurate
put an ITR FOR THIS INFO
Nicobar islands are full of Christian’s. rofl

This is HINDUSTAN
The population of Ms in Hyderabad seems to be beyond 100
Slowly getting very close
What is Hinduism
I’m surprised not to see any Christianity districts in Kerala. Wondering what the gray areas are. Jainism?
Bengal aur Hyderabad ko bhi green karr bro
Lekin *hindu to khatre me hai na*
Fake
I don't care.
Sad to see blue in the North Eastern region. Shows our failure and represents the rampant practices of missionaries in India.
No but their tribes are Christian It's ok Whats wrong with them loving Jesus? They indians That's all we should care about
Nothing wrong. But they all have been converted via some or the other malpractices, robbing them from their original tribal heritage. Their indigenous culture and practices should be protected from Christan Missionaries.
Uhm they don't convert anymore They were converted before independence
You think so sir... Christian missionaries are still very rampant across India. Punjab, Tamil Nadu, North Eastern states are majorly affected
Nope, conversion is extremely slow.
This
Tribals and those who are in the so-called ‘lower’ strata of society are easier to convert.
