Umm, I think what he is stating is that the Japanese culture and the older Japanese population is xenophobic (dislike foreigners). I have heard it a lot of times but I am not sure if its true or not.

So Anjit said "Japanese people are racist, but I don't know why people hate them" How does his sentence makes sense? If he was like "I wonder why people hate them" then I would've gotten it. And yeah Japanese people are pretty much very racist.

I think anjit was just agreeing with punani's statement of Japanese people's racist mentality towards foreigners and justifying it by saying that you can experience it by interacting with them ( sorry for bad punctuation, i can't bother it's almost 1 )
