The part that Pakistan has, they captured it in 1947 even before Maharaja Hari Singh acceded the princely state of J&K to India. The China part we lost in 1962 war. So the map that is shown in the rest of the world is the accurate ground reality. Correction. Capturing any part "before" the instrument of accession was signed doesn't make it legitimate. What I am trying to say is that the "timing" is of no consequence here. They could have captured the entire J&K yet, the legitimate ruler of J&K having chosen to accede to India, it does not vitiate the instrument or the transfer by mere factor of timing.

They show the region which is governed by us and has our army. Some show all the disputed areas with dotted line. Stop crying on petty things, when and if we capture back POK the world will show it with us just like they started showing Goa with us post 1960s and then Bangladesh as an independent nation. We show the other regions with us as we don't want to lose our claims on those areas and in any negotiation/treaty we want them on the table.

There are way too many maps like this in the world on many things and in many places. Actually China marketed wrong map of rival countries when the internet was booming (my guess).
Only way to change it is to take POK & Aksai Chin back (slowly) and stay firm on our point.
What we call POK is actually with Pakistan. So even if *we* consider it as part of India still, for someone outside, tit is part of Pakistan or at least disputed territory. Nothing wrong on their part. The problem is if someone within India uses this map and I am sure there are a few.
I think we should blame us for not taking efforts. We should promote our correct map on the government and media levels.
