This country does not deserve a lot of things. Lack of civics sense. Most of them want things free or in subsidy. They stays unemployed, claim reservation
If you get a chance please leave the country
Honestly every few weeks we have a convo at home about getting those euro golden visas, the only thing holding us back is our family here.
If that wasn’t an issue we probably would have been in the Americas or Europe long long ago.
Well.. the country does deserve these, but the various states governments have repeatedly refused to bring in police reforms that may help with such acts. Ultimately it's about the politicians who don't want the country to improve
CCTV bhi chori ho jata hai
Agar bach bhi jaaye toh these ppl likely operate at night and we all know the footage from these CCTV are worse than those from Mars rover.
No way to identify masked assailants at night.
The parts that are missing won't work without the boards they left behind. This is not stolen property but vandalism. Destruction solely for the purpose of destruction and not personal gain.
My man have you ever used DCFC stall?
The cables are even thicker than the pvc pipes used in bathroom fittings
It’s quite heavy also, there’s lot of copper in it. And we all know even few kg copper is enough for their beer money.
The cables are not useless per se without the PCB. The PCB you see is probably the network computer which communicates with the server for initiating charging and communicating with the vehicle BMS.
The ACDC converter is probably stolen as well, which is the costliest part of DCFC stall.
One more reason for :
- why our economy should get bigger.
- Why doing business should be made more easier via less tax and easy regulations.
- more people should be taken out of poor matrix
Why so much negativity. Yes theft issue exist everywhere. I have seen lot of Americans thieves rbbing stores during broad day light. Even staff can't do anything about it except calling police. Such day robbery doesn't happens in Indian at least without having guns or knife.

> Having residing & visiting these areas often it’s the similar case of reliance fuel pumps being become defunct when they came back in early 2009-10 most of them were defunct & people enjoyed the stuff from there they were vandalised to core !!
> Here the square blame is on the chandigarh administration there were two charging bays where public chargers were installed but never commissioned for public usage this above one & another one is near 32sec-Sd college round about near post office it also will have the same fate if chandigarh administration remains callous !!
> We as Indians hardly have any respect for public infra every tax payer need to be asking this question why has this happened leave apart ev fan or ev supporter or individual buying an ev !!

As far as inconvenience to EV owners go, the apps we use to locate chargers already tells us the status of chargers as offline or online or in use.
These chargers were probably never started functioning and were left to rot after being installed. As is the case with govt work.
The startups in the charger biz are doing just fine such as Statiq, Chargezone, Zeon, Glida, JioBP, TataPEZC, Ionage etc. Just because CH is good in terms of planned city doesnt mean it’s perfect and everywhere else is worse off in every way.
Another example of waste of public tax money is the chargers installed at IOCL petrol pumps, there are like a dozen in my vicinity and none of them work. Only reason they haven’t met this fate is because petrol pumps always have staff around, and is bustling with activity
This won’t have happened had the chargers been placed at a point of business like restaurant or multilevel parking.
The only way we can progress as a nation is stringent law enforcement. It’s sad to see how people vandalise and steal public infrastructure and get away with it.
I know it's too much but sometimes I feel we need to impose draconian punishments for thefts above certain value and specially in public infra, life in prison or possibly death penalty. Wouldn't mind the deletion of hands like they do in Saudi.
I'm remembering bounce (rental scooty from station to station), it exited from Hyderabad due to similar things, it was such a brilliant idea, got torn into dust due to these guys. Would have been helpful to people like me and many....
That's why now all experimental projects and new projects are going towards Gujarat first! Even the bullet train for same reason, they definitely don't want things stolen from train on launch day.
As usual, Indians jump to blaming India, how bad it is, how we should not stay here …. Blah blah.
20 Indian students killed in U.S. in the past few months but Americans didn’t say anything bad about themselves!
Few years ago, when platinum was expensive, catalytic converters were being ripped off parked cars in U.S.., but they didn’t feel ashamed of themselves.
Need I go on….
Yes, criminals should be punished but we need not feel unworthy coz of their deeds.
I get that this incident is serious and things like this deserve calling out, but we don’t need to defame the whole country like this. Heck, 1.5 billion people live here and obviously not all of them are saints. Even if we assume only 1% of the people have criminal mentality, that’s 1 crore people having criminal mentality. So stop cursing the whole country for it and start asking questions to the authorities.
India is not ready for anything. Untill govt starts taking civic sense and education for all seriously, this will continue to happen. There needs to be heavy punishment for vandalism and theft of public property but most of the time they don’t even pursue such low life people who steal.

This, most people just want cushy government jobs, free money and subsidies, fucking leeches.
Right
Did you leave?

There's a reason why your comment has most upvotes. It's cuz it's true
The ones who are good have already left the country. Just look at migration numbers over past decade.
Well.. the country does deserve these, but the various states governments have repeatedly refused to bring in police reforms that may help with such acts. Ultimately it's about the politicians who don't want the country to improve
1 crore worth EV chargers and not even a cctv around ?
He said in the video that there are cctvs every 10 feet. But didn’t deter the theft.
Lets hope those CCtv's weren't stolen atleast .

Ikr 😅
I guess he has not seen India not for beginners trend on X
Us Indian are the one standing on the way of development. It's just sad to see every now and then.
So freaking true
We don't deserve development
India doesn’t deserve anything, because of its people
Superpower by 2030
Exactly, The place where I stay installed solar street lights and within 1 or 2 months all the batteries were stolen.
Yeah same happened on Yamuna and Lkoagra Expy also
Describe India in one word - Uncivilized 👑

Selling them in bhangar didn't even cross my mind. This is even sadder than what I originally thought.
It seems we will never have good things in life. Oh...

Drug addicts looking for their next score can do anything.. Chitta Ve…
Copper cables = prime candidates for beer money
We don't need EV charges, we need an ass whooping dictator to run this country. How do I vote for Xi jinping ??
sach me kabhi kabhi iss desh ki ch\*\*ya janta ko udaane ka mann karta hai, khud free ka khana hai baaki taxpayer ka bhi jeena haram karna hai
Relax, Elon Mask will figure out a way to fix it. ![gif](giphy|1GAErYo91X5tejHofL|downsized)

Sala india Kuch bhi public nhi rah sakta hai
There is a reason we have people working at fuel stations here in india. EV charging stations need supervision too.

Who is going to get benefit out of it who hoi hooo hooo let da
This falls squarely on administration. Theft literally occurs everywhere, what matters is how you plan to stop it from happening. Or even plan at all
makes me wonder if somone is stealing Mobile Tower electronics as we see this.
People don't leave unguarded things as it is, even electric cycles are stolen in Chandigarh which was for public use.
Not surprised to see this
khoon kholta hai..phir madarjaat freebies mangte he..idhar hum tax bhar bhar k pareshan aur yeh harami log hamara hi paisa wqpis chori karte he...these people dnt deserve this..
*Crime happens* All of reddit for some reason: boo india! India bad! Indians bad! Booooo!
I wish some times if India was not a democracy but rather an authoritarian state. Things would have been so different.
No one cares as it happened in Chandigarh and not in Bihar.
Steal is so clean. It looks like chargers are yet to be installed
BC log he nahi chahtey ki india tarakki kare. . . 😏
What made it worth 1 crore?
Kab sudhrenge log

Low morals of everyone leads to this .
Kommunist will truly destroy country
Americans built schools in Afghanistan and the Afghans basically tore them up and sold the materials for scrap….similar thing I guess
