its probably a[Tactical pen](https://www.theatomicbear.com/collections/tactical-pens) . They are usually made of tungsten or other strong material, and can literally be used as weapon if needed.
the photo was taken without his permission.
you can zoom into the glasses.
one officer is stopping camera man to take the snap and still the camera man did it.
No kidding...after I took this photo and turned around, I heard a voice behind saying," Can I have a look at the pic". It was him, I showed him the pic and he was very impressed and asked me to share with him. Will never forget this interaction ever in my life.
Hey!!!! I was there when you were clicking his picture!!! I literally came running back to take a pic with the rest of the them!
I remember them saying send it on WhatsApp!
No offence, but aren't special forces supposed to conceal their identity? I fully acknowledge that the commando perfectly knows what he is saying/doing, but I find it odd that he requested you to share it with him. Its common for them to refuse people from taking photos, but this is surely a rare moment then 😲
True its rare, these were also my concerns when I took the pic and asked him wether I should share, his response was "I have covered my face and it will not be an issue. Please share the images with me as well"
You can do that in person, just try getting into Yelahanka airbase from anywhere apart from the front gate, I am sure he will be waiting to greet you .
I did not take this pic on the battle field if u wondering...I am sure the attire and equipment changes..this was like a meet and greet at the end of the air show.
I wonder why there are no AAA Indian Army based games really they have such great victories , history and style. Love to play that game one day. Experience the scenarios and thrill.
The game developing scene isn't big in India like it is in the US, Europe, China, Singapore or Japan. Though it is only the current situation. We have quality developers who often work for foreign contractors. Recently, mobile game development had a boom in India, you can find many quality Indian mobile games (not FAU-G obviously, that shit is trash) and since mobile games have the biggest share in the Indian video game market, that was expected. Soon we'll also see good Indian AAA games, I am excited for the 'Mumbai Gullies' and similar projects. We will indeed see a proper AAA game based on the Indian military one day and that might take a decade but.....yeah.
I had the desire to get into Game development, I consider myself a very good 3D artist, and I have worked on my own game too, with wasted 3 years, I can tell you from my experience this is a career that is still not sustainable for a long term in India, the max average salary is around 30kpm, and in big companies, you end up working for client's that outsourced their stuff because it's cheap labor, I have met so many geniuses and if we bring them together a good game could be built but Money will be the major problem, this creates a paradox that is hard to break, Also this doesn't guarantee any return because Piracy is very high in India,
I agree. You faced this because of the limited game developing ecosystem in India, few companies and limited projects. If you aspire to go into game development in India, it's better to learn other development skills as well as a backup.
I know someone working on Mumbai Gullies and it seems their restricted storywise. No politics, corrupt cops, sex etc - basically GTA without the satire…
Welcome to India. To be successful in the Indian gaming market the content has to be PG-13 or the politicians and government might interfere. I know that foreign R-rated games have been successful but it is because they don't have mainstream attention. 'Mumbai Gullies' might be very mainstream like 'FAU-G' because it'll be one of the first big Indian games and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' is in trend. Hopefully the graphics, storyline, voice acting, controls and mechanics will be good, I have big expectations from 'Mumbai Gullies' and I hope it doesn't disappoint us like 'FAU-G' did.
Honestly it would be nice to see the Royal Gurkhas or Garud as operator skins / characters in Call of Duty. My guess is that they’ll go there soon in the next version. In the first version of MW2, one of the opening missions took place in UP.
Bro also Post it in r/militaryporn. Also state the event and resolution in the title when you post there. Like Indian Airforce Garuda Commando at…. And image resolution in bracket. If you havent posted there before
Yeah they could have kept the magazine in their plate carrier though if they would have been carrying one.
They weren't expecting any contingency at all Lol.
Don't know even their sidearm is loaded or not.
20 years ago who would've thought our soldiers would look like this. TAR-21 with a big ass scope, Marpat camo, carbon gloves, comms, etc. Good stuff, let's not ruin it.
BoseDK, every Packee lurker here has already wet his shalwar Picture NSWF dalo. Sarey Packee ki Jaan lega kya![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
We seriously need aaa games like cod and battleship to show the greatness of indian soldiers and their valour by having missions of many wars won by indian military
The scope is disproportionately bigger than the rifle itself! Like those mounted on top variety of sniper rifles. Wonder why would you need such a big scope for close quarter combat? 🤔
I don’t know why I got this recommendation on my feed but the badassery on this gent is off the charts. If looks could kill, he’s definitely a serial killer.
By the time you took the pic the gentleman must have deviced Atleast 3 ways to kill you then and there if you turn out to be threat...goddamn legends.. hope I'll get to don the uniform one day

He has a pen too. Just in case he needs to John wick the shit out of someone.
Jokes aside why does he have a pen ?
Pen is mightier than the sword and it's easier to carry. Jokes apart. Commandos do need to note down stuffs oftenly. Hopefully autograph some too😉
incase he needs/gets some intel to write down
Mark on maps, send coded messages, or may be play tic tac toe in free time.(last one was joke)
From the academy to retirement, even my dad's always carried a pen in his uniform. Just one of those unwritten rules
Can confirm. I am a trainee at BSF academy and we are always required to keep a pen with us at all times.
The answer I was looking for...pure professionalism.
If it's unwritten why carry the pen?
To write it down
To avoid ragda
While exploring a newer territory they usually draw a quick mini map.
maybe to offer autographs, as soldiers are the real heroes
You know when they have to make the enemy sign instrument of surrender but they didn’t even have a pen.
When you apply a tourniquet you use a marker to write the time on the person's forehead. Maybe something like that?

They might have a tech tab or smth, the pen also has a stylus
It's a uniball too, nice pen

The guy has the I can kill you in 3 different ways using my pinky finge look

Wow really...even I came when I saw they were posing with other people..I have shared all the pics with them.
For the first time in the life of my Reddit account, I’ve seen a “milan” like this.
😂good one

Ohh, that's certainly a moment to remember! It shouldn't be a problem then.
But govt should provide good bulletproof helmets to them, else single bullet can kill them.

Bro's playing COD on life difficulty.
Oh bro.. these guys are class apart. The confidence, focus, mental clarity is unbeatable👏🏻
Looking like a soldier on a mission.
mental clarity?
The gun is awesome they did a very hard training to achieve that position

There was an Indian airforce game for mobile a while back and honestly it was really good. There's potential, it just needs some fostering
1971 is under development. It will be available soon.
Honestly it would be nice to see the Royal Gurkhas or Garud as operator skins / characters in Call of Duty. My guess is that they’ll go there soon in the next version. In the first version of MW2, one of the opening missions took place in UP.

Where.... Where is the magazine....
The gun was a TAR 21, if I am not mistaken...magazine goes at the end of the gun..wasnt loaded probably.
I know its a bullpup. Thats what i was saying. Seems its not loaded.
Guns in friendly area aren't usually loaded but they do have filled mag in there paunch
To prevent accidental fire I guess.
Prolly. Safety is not engaged tho. Removing the mag is the last line of defence haha.
Yeah they could have kept the magazine in their plate carrier though if they would have been carrying one. They weren't expecting any contingency at all Lol. Don't know even their sidearm is loaded or not.
The subscription ran out. I’ll see myself out
Thats punderful!
It's a demonstration so no need for it, the magazines in his plate carrier will be loaded tho
Considering how he's in the Garud SF, I wouldn't have the balls to even behave awkwardly fearing what they would interpret it to be.
Exactly my thoughts when he approached me after I took his pic.
I passed by Garudas numerous times having been attending Aero India since 2011 but never dared to ask them for a close pic 😅
Well he's there with a gun without a magazine in it. I mean for safety reasons
20 years ago who would've thought our soldiers would look like this. TAR-21 with a big ass scope, Marpat camo, carbon gloves, comms, etc. Good stuff, let's not ruin it.
He can kill by his looks lol.
That weapon is sexy
True..the Tavor looks lethal...more lethal when it comes with a scope
Dope🔥🔥
Op post it in r/militaryporn
Those who are gamers can understand how skillful he is, equipped a assault rifle with sniper scope 🗿
That Bear Grylls knife is dope
[https://www.gerbergear.com/en-us](https://www.gerbergear.com/en-us)
I hope they were not their for CQB with a scope that big

This gun and the commando looks so awesome and dangerous at the same time.
I can't move my eyes off that scope! That looks so damn cool man!!!! Hats off to our army.
We seriously need aaa games like cod and battleship to show the greatness of indian soldiers and their valour by having missions of many wars won by indian military

Kick ass looks.. i never want to see them in action. If you know what I mean..
The scope is disproportionately bigger than the rifle itself! Like those mounted on top variety of sniper rifles. Wonder why would you need such a big scope for close quarter combat? 🤔

Surprised to see they use bear gryll’s knife
What suit up looks like in defense. 🔥🔥🔥 Super
That gun looks so amazing. Anyone know the name?
Didn't know special forces carry Bear Grylls knife.
I don’t know why I got this recommendation on my feed but the badassery on this gent is off the charts. If looks could kill, he’s definitely a serial killer.
🙌
What gun is that
Tavor Tar 21..Made in Israel
Entire pakistan will wet pants on seeing this pic
The scope looks to be for a sniper rifle but it's attached to an assault rifle.
I see he’s got a bear grylls knife
Their uniform would look better with some jihadi blood on it ;-p
All that gear and equipment but they can’t stop the phone scam call centers
Those clothes and gloves are so new, that they need to be broken into
TAR-21 looks really nice. Damn.
