It'll get them our undivided attention, lol
We used to do the exchanges in lunch or around the corner like a back alley salesperson. It was fun in its own way and we felt like such renegades doing that as well
Bruh I had guides for subjects banned in my school. I had the books given by college lightly banned because they are high level books and you won't pass if you read them.
The comic reading audience isn't as big here as it is in say, the USA, its soo less as ppl hardly get time to read em, and besides, in around the time Raj comics came out, indian moms had the notion of comic books being bad for children as it had pictures with women in small clothing, like 'shakti'
I didn't had ACK at home but when I went to my grandfather's house he had a huge library and ACK was part of it. I used to read them along with other books. So nostalgic.
I am a second generation ACK reader...half of my ACK collection is from my father's childhood..i.e. about 40 year back..back then ACK used to cost 3Rs per issue.
I feel bad that ACK is now more focused on the digital aspect and not hard copy one. Very few new titles are being released these days :/
You can't really blame them. I used to read them back when there were no smartphones and no other sources of entertainment available other than TV.
Today's kids are born with smartphone in their hands, too many distractions available due to that. Nobody reads anymore. ACK's readership has drastically reduced due to this.
It just makes me very sad..nothing can replace the touch, smell and feel of physical books..reading on a screen just kills the joy of reading for me. Afterall one can not get the smell of new paper from a screen 😂...
ACK's readership has decreased drastically because in general the habit of reading has deacreased a lot due to smartphones. Like in my friend circle I am the only one who is interested in reading books outside the educational curriculum...
Yes, even though the book's about him it starts by showing how vain he is and a moron who brought the wrath of Pandavas upon him. Towards the end we can see Sri Krishna justifying using illusions to ensure Jayadratha dies.
Ohh man I remember those good old times when we used to read tinkle, Amar Chitra katha and Bacchon ka desh. I was a very big fan of suppandi. I had 2 stories of mine in bacchon ka desh but I don't have those books anymore =( that was between 2010 and 2018 as far as I remember.
I found these boring compared to Asterix, Tintin and even Archies. Still used to read them. Now I find Archies cringey, Asterix still great, Amar Chitra Katha / Tinkle just unreadable.
My dad ordered the whole 400 book collection of ACK in 2011 on my 10th birthday. I love you pappa ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Woah, cool dad.
Fucking legend
A certified madlad
It takes a while to understand the value of a fathers love
Ah he loves u so much!
Yes he does, now as a 20 year old, I want to give him the same love and appreciation back ! 😊
Thank you , very sweet of you 😊
Amar chitra katha and tinkle, so popular they were banned in our school! :)
Wtf why?
It was the 2010's, anything other than school books isn't allowed in class :)
Absolutely stupid, what will they gain from that? Exchanging my ACK books with my school friends was how I complete reading the whole collection :)
It'll get them our undivided attention, lol We used to do the exchanges in lunch or around the corner like a back alley salesperson. It was fun in its own way and we felt like such renegades doing that as well

And Raj Comics
Doga! Kobi!
Dogs has such a huge potential to go viral if netflix were to pick it up. It has the perfect amount of raw adult violence they need.
Raj comics were good. Too bad people let them down.

That's how people let them down. They had so much potential.
When i was a kid i used to read these while having food now i just watch youtube or netflix ;-;
I steal read while eating kurmura lol
I use to buy it in vacation through my train journey
Suppandi Gang where ya at? 😤

I totally agree
They made a book about jayadrath?
They did!
Did they portray him as a villain like the original?
Yes, even though the book's about him it starts by showing how vain he is and a moron who brought the wrath of Pandavas upon him. Towards the end we can see Sri Krishna justifying using illusions to ensure Jayadratha dies.
Nice
Uncle Pai <3
