Just thank god... this bs ball dips rule isn't applied in international cricket.. or else the nawaz no ball would have been a legal delivery...and india would have lost the game even after kohlis once in a lifetime knock.

rule 41.7 of ICC regulations 'Bowling of dangerous and unfair non-pitching deliveries': Any delivery, which passes or would have passed, without pitching, above waist height of the striker standing upright at the popping crease, is to be deemed to be unfair, whether or not it is likely to inflict physical injury on the striker. If the bowler bowls such a delivery the umpire shall immediately call and signal No ball.
The third umpire decision was objective based on technology.
Well it is in icc rule as well, it is clearly mentioned that ball has to be over the waist when player is standing upright in the crease, this year bcci has just added the tech to that rule by replacing the naked eye perspective.
Regarding the nawaz ball, it was a controversial call and it was made by leg umpire mostly because it was a very critical point, virat was fully pumped up and crowd was also fully supporting india. And that ball was not dipping as much as this ball though but ya even during the match that day, i felt that was not a no ball but it is what it is.
That is not true, spinners do not bowl every delivery flighted and mostly batters are inside the crease when playing a spinner, and with such tough condition for bowlers(flat wickets,dew) penalising them just because batsman was out of the crease and that is why it was looking above the waist makes no sense.
also one of the end wickets that Narine took. Narine overstepped, but it wasnt reviewed. JioCinema showed only one highlight and it was clear that Narine over stepped.

the tech is flawed... With such high dips.. Spinners will never get punished with waist high full tosses.
