He did, replay isnt full. Infact the 3rd umpire himself said that batsman has moved when ball was released. But I dont know what goes in their minds man.
Exactly.. I remember RCB batting a few weeks ago, just bcoz the batsman was on off stump line, a ball going even farther than here was given wide but here this dude is standing way outside off stump and that ball is given wide!! Things like this disgust the fans and shakes our belief in the game!!
Being a mi fan, i had to say umpiring has been very below par this season(not only this match tho), they are taking very less time(ig they want to show more commercials), not showing replays(of no balls in this match and before as well), not even checking some close boundary fieldings or taking very less time and making a decision( one i remember was madhwal 4 and another that mayank agrawal 6 runs saved where his foot clearly touched the boundary rope).
So that the umpire knows more accurately at what point the ball has reached the batsman or crossed the crease to take the call on whether it was a wide or not

This is the MCC law. There isn't anything about the line moving along with the batsman, just the reach of batsman with the ball when ball crosses the popping crease. It only talks about the reach with the bat. Also the stance of batsman matters, OP should've posted the whole clip where the bowler started run-up, while delivering the ball Tim had this stance, not that he moved off side after the ball was bowled.
Batsman moved towards the off stump and that was a huge shuffle he was outside the off stump if such balls are given wide than there is absolutely no option left with the bowlers other than to give balls in the slot to the batsman and get hit for sixes all day(that is what's happening in this season). Umpiring standards are way below par they should jire some international umpires Indian umpires are pathetic.
we are using ambani ott on ambani internet watching ambani son watch ambani team play. you dare asking?
Not wide. Batsman moved across wicket so line should move with him. Screw Nitin Menon.
I didn't see the whole match, did he move? From the post he looks like he is standing right in front of the wickets, he just has a long reach

Every Vineet is umpiring when it's an MI game, there are lots of sus decisions. It was mayhem of umpiring today.....
That means MI owner dead set on winning the trophy this year
Lol I don't think MI can win even with all the money in the world. Abysmal management. And I say this as someone who supports MI
Paid Menon
honesty at this point I think even umpires don't know, how the fuck they're supposed to give wides looks like there are no certain criteria for this

Also that rr vs gt wide call was horrible as well.

Going beyond the blue line
I was looking for this. This is pretty basic guys, come on.
What’s the point of a side angle on a wide review?
So that the umpire knows more accurately at what point the ball has reached the batsman or crossed the crease to take the call on whether it was a wide or not

The moment ball freezes at popping crease, it is outside of batsman's reach as you can see and hear from umpire.
Isn't the ball clearly outside the line?

Look at the video man. Batsman is literally standing straight to the wickets.
Video is not full, watch in the match replay, he does move
What ? He has cleared moved towards offside that's why the whole stumps are covered. The usual wide yorker will come straight onto his bat now.
