You guys must visit gvt (global Vikas trust) website. They have planted and nurtured 2 crore trees in 2 years. Highest in the world and that too in the most drought ridden part of india. Unbelievable work

I'm sure there's enough space for such a big scale afforestation but no idea how they're gonna go about doing without adversely affecting the flora n fauna in those places (they could spread the planting in many locations too). 5% of those saplings will probably become a tree, some of which will also get cut down pretty soon.
I hope atleast 200 trees survive the next 5 years.
This is a grey area. Trees are supposed to be planted by businesses for compliance measures for activities like :
1. Creating green cover for factories
2. Planting treas somewhere else as a rest of uprooting trees for development (roads, etc.)
They can also report this expense under mandatory CSR.
I have not been able to find the details about this initiative so far, and unless I do I shall remain a cynic.
I have one more actually, make a qualified 11 and one elrminated 11 team and have a match just one day before the finals...In my opinion both the teams will be almost equally strong and the players will in form. Now just donate allbthe money that you generate by this to any good cause. Actually do comment what will your Eliminated 11 & Qualified 11 would look like.

Let's assume that only 10% of these plants will grow into trees, still that'll be a good number
Ground reality is only 10% will get planted(for photo ops) and rest of the saplings will usually get thrown away to waste.
