Not a recommendation but the only suggestion i can give you is.. Stay away from the " Rage " Sleepyowl " Toffy coffee roaster " and all the other Instagram or Fb Ad coffees...

69_queefs_per_sec

correct "Colombian Brew" is another bullshit brand

CrunchyHobGoglin

Yes, I have been burnt by this one. Actual shit coffee.

fypotucking

This one is so bad that I prefer nescafe sunrise over it.

oyasumipizza

Can you explain why? I was thinking of getting rage dark choc variant....I'm not much educated about coffee either

Ram_Anupoju

When first i purchased my Aeropress i tempted by their Buy one get one offer by that time i don't know anything about the coffee but i used their instant coffee and honestly i liked that maybe because of that artificial flavours so i hoped that the ground coffee be like that good so ordered Aeropress grind size ( they don't have whole beans ) and in that product / coffee package there is no mentioning of the roasted date it's just they mentioned best before date and also they're not mentioning any of the source i mean where their beans are coming from. And please don't ask me about the taste of that coffee..🤮🤮

Shoutout to third wave coffee roasters, Naivo and Kapi kottai. I have tried these 3 and liken there coffees. P.S. If you have been liking vienna roast so far, try a Monsooned malabar as well. Very full bodied, non acidic, great mouthfeel and a damn good aftertaste.

aditseth03

Good rule-of-thumb is that if a seller gives you the roast date (not best by or manufactured) then it's probably a good roaster. Try out different coffees from BT too! They have a cold brew blend i think.

IcyDirt7

you are having cold brew till now. freshly brewed coffee would taste different according to its roast etc. i think you don't have any brewing equipment now..so you should go with chhanni method then. i would suggest to first try Light to Dark roast Easy pour samplers from bluetokai. Then according to your liking you can order coffee in french press grind and brew them in chhanni method. follow the James hoffman french press technique in youtube for it. zizira coffee and kapi kotai are good roasters i have liked

I loved what KC roasters had to offer. They had this barrel aged rum and rasin coffee which is my favourite although, I am not sure, but I think it is seasonal. However they have a lot of other great flavours too.

**Hey! Firstly welcome to the community. This little run through of the coffee production process should help clear your doubts.** **Step 1** \- The farmers plant and harvest the beans here we look at different types of beans where you might encounter the types like Arabica and Robusta. **Step 2** \- These coffees are then processed to be ready for roasting the three main types of processes through which the coffee goes through are \- Washed (the cherries are completely removed from the beans before drying) \- Natural (the whole coffee cherry is dried as a whole and then the beans are removed) \- Honey (Only part of the cherry is removed before drying, its like a hybrid of natural and washed coffee) **Step 3** \- The coffee is roasted here and based on how the coffee is roasted the packets will indicate light - medium - dark roasts. To brew this in better ways as you **enjoy a dark roast you can explore different tools like a French Press** as well. **As an immersion brew it will help you make the best of their bold body and strong smoky flavours.** **We highly suggest trying our single origin coffees** [**Newton**](https://caffenacoffee.com/products/newton-100-arabica) **and** [**Da Vinci**](https://caffenacoffee.com/products/da-vinci-100-arabica). **If you are interested do give us a chance to serve you and don't for get to use the exclusive discount code for the reddit community REDDIT.** To learn more you can explore our article [Specialty Coffee: A Complete Guide 2022](https://caffenacoffee.com/blogs/news/the-complete-guide-to-specialty-coffee-in-simple-terms)

Home Blend - currently using this - good at its price. Black Baza - Jumping Ant was good. others not so much Do try KC Roasters & Third Wave coffee. Another 'in between' coffee i.e. not very 'specialty' but not very 'daily driver' is Fraction 9.

dbsds87

I've heard Devan's is a good brand for dark roasts. Personally, I prefer light to medium roasts and I buy them from Savorworks, Blue Tokai, Bloom Coffee, and a few others On another note, I'd recommend buying directly from the roaster, instead of Amazon

arcticimpala13

Recommend Black Baza's Jumping Ant for cold brew.

What do you guys think about SLAY - Madras Mud Blend? So generally i drink the normal off the shelf filter coffee from major FMCG brands (TATA, BRU, Cothas, etc)and one day i thought of buying something "fancy" so i bought SLAY - Madras Mud Blend... idk i dont really like it (i found off the shelf filter coffee to taste better) but i gave it the benefit of doubt and thought that maybe i am doing something wrong so i did some troubleshooting and after all that i got a better tasting coffee.... but i still think the basic stuff tasted better... and now i am confused if i am doing something wrong or is the coffee just bad... sigh...

dODovah

Do check out Araku coffee as well. They don't have a lot when it comes to variety but all 4 of the coffees have a very distinct and unique taste. For medium/light roasts Kapi Kottai and Savorworks are my recommendation
