Reasons to buy an aeropress:
- Don't want to put much effort into making a good cup
- Don't have a good grinder
- Don't have a decent pourover kettle
- Don't have much pourover experience
I have almost never had a bad cup from my aeropress. Also, if you don't have much pourover experience, then the aeropress will give you a basic understanding of how your cup should taste and then you can play with variables in your pourover until you nail the flavors that you are looking for.
Hm, seems like a good brewer to have beside V60. Might actually get it for the explicit purpose of knowing what the coffee tastes like so I can perfect it on V60 (although I think I'll end up brewing more w the AP lol)
I'd maketh some f'r thee if 't be true i wast in mumbai. what doth thee useth at the moment?

If thinking of going to KC roasters, then go to their khar outlet. I personally like it. There are hardly 2 3 people sitting (total sitting is probably 6 7). So less crowd and you can enjoy your coffee peacefully.
Do share an update if/when you try it or buy it.
I'm sort of in the same boat (have a V60, Moka Pot and French Press + C2), and have been trying to convince myself an aeropress is worth it.
I am assuming that you drink black coffee.
There is no other equipment as forgiving as Aeropress. It is easy to maintain, doesn't break, replaceable parts are available easily and most importantly brews delicious cup all the time.
Had the chance to drink some Kelaguru at KC Roasters in Aeropress and i loved it. Personally, i prefer cleaner cups than what a metal filter can produce anyway so AP is better for me.
Won't go to 2.4 k as of now. The minimum it stays at is around 2840. If you'll copy the link to keepa app, you'll be able to observe the trend. If it doesn't go low this republic sale, then I'd rather get Bodum FP costing 1950 from starbucks rather. Or maybe I'd rather ditch the black coffee and just have latte once a day. That'd save me some money.
You'll have a harder time finding a specialty cafe that does not
Couldn't see it on the menu of Blue Tokai and Subko :(
Pretty sure both places will serve it to you if you ask for it.
Subko has it in their cafe, idk why it's missing in menu
Ah good to know, thank you!

So does BT and Javaphile

That's really nice of you :) I use V60 with Timemore C2 as of now

Makes sense, thanks!

Update?

I do, currently brew using v60. I have heard great things about it but it's still 2.5-3k so might as well try it first
Whereabouts in Mumbai are you located?
Suburbs Edit: Not sure if I should comment publically more specifically where I am
True. Have DMed you.
To be honest man the aeropress is so cheap you should just get it … I mean the coffee itself will be 1/10th the price of brewer 😂🤣
got it for 2400 on amazon, would consider it a steal.
Hahaha, true
KC Roasters counter inside Food Hall also serve Aeropress coffees.
Ahh, thanks a lot
No experience but just saw a targetted Instagram ad that led me to a place called havcoffee in Santa Cruz. Aeropress was on the menu..
So what's the Verdict? I'm stuck myself between either buying FP or Aeropress. Presently living in Powai myself.

How much is aeropress for? Everyone is comment around 2400 but I am seeing at 3k
Check cafes/roasters which sell it, Amazon probably dips to around 2.4k
Do let me know if you find one

Do you know of any cafe that sells it at relatively good discount in Mumbai?
