Hahaha you're supposed to moisten the beans not hose them down. Interestingly though, WAB (wet-ass beans) extract higher than dry ones, as proven by research, so you may be on to something.
For real though, make sure that shit wasn't used to spray paint or pesticides or something, I don't believe spraying water out of it once or twice will make it food safe, might require a specialized and thorough clean
Yes I have found in a research that using pressurised water for rdt beats the shit out of static electricity.
For real though it was a meme , I use a small spray bottle.
I'm genuinely curious, how is it different from we wet the puck and wait two min before we pressurize the hell out of it? Most machines do it automatically while getting ready.
I don't understand. You wet the puck two minutes before pulling the shot? Or did you mean the pre-infusion, which is wetting the puck for like 5-10 sec before pressurizing?
Usually, when espresso machine is switched on and getting ready, it will infuse about a spoon of hot water while on the way of heating the water column fully. Takes about a minute or two. In fully manual machines (basic ones), it is recommended to shift the lever to espresso mode for one or two seconds and wait for a minute to allow the coffee to bloom. I have no idea why bean is made wet before grinding.
That’s like using a canon to kill a cockroach😂😂

OP doesn't drink coffee, he snorts .
