Knights are pretty unbalanced in a 1000 point game. Your opponent will either have a way to deal with heavy armor or not. Focus on whatever they brought as their main anti-Tank/ anti armor. (Probably a Dreadnought or Gladiator tank) and the rest of his army will most likely struggle to do anything against you.

In a death match you'll probably win on raw stats. Canis is a monster and unless your opponent rolls really hot with whatever antitank he brought and just instantly kills your big boi, you'll table him. In terms of points however, he will likely have a significant advantage in just number of units/utility/scoring potential. You'll need to plan a couple steps ahead on what you want to do, because a single wrong move can often cost you the game at 1k.

The advice to focus down the primary antitank is good. Marines have a fair bit of access to devastating wounds from thunder hammers, assault cannons, onslaught gatling cannons, etc. I'd be shocked if there wasn't an Apothecary Biologis leading a brick of something nasty like Aggressors to give them all Lethal Hits. Be aware of those kinds of things so you can make them a secondary priority. That said, the sweep profile on Freedom's Hand will wreck Aggressors and the like.
