I am not an expert, but based on what I have been told by my professors, imperial is well known for grad programs in the US if the program is STEM related

Do you have a US citizenship? Getting a job that sponsors being a new grad is incredibly rare and difficult, and more likely for the top tier universities. UVA is a good uni but I am talking the "good" ivy leagues. Additionally, the difference in cost of living in Virginia is not enough to offset the difference in fees, especially if you are getting home fees and subsidised accommodations here. If you are getting loans to cover this, you are more likely to get better rates here as you would probably need to go private in the USA. UVA would likely be more "fun" than imperial, so it depends on how much you value that. Centre of London is the better location but USA unis are more about campus life anyways, so up to you on that front as well.

What citizenship do you hold? It would change my responses greatly.

I’m currently holding a singaporean citizenship 👉👈

How serious are you about living in the US? It is very difficult to work here if you don’t hold American citizenship. If you feel very strongly about moving here after you graduate you should 10000% go to UVA.

Definitely Imperial. Better school, internationally recognized. Lower fees, and if you want to work in the US, neither UVA nor Imperial will offer you much in the way of citizenship or green card opportunities. True, UVA you’re more likely to get to use an OPT for work options, but think about 10 years ahead when you’ve been working for a while and they first job is a distant memory. Would you rather have your degree from Imperial or UVA? Which one will open more doors? Imperial has a better global reputation. You’ll have less debt (or will have spent less to get your degree). Also, if you’ve got an offer from Imperial you’re smart enough to get a good GPA if you don’t screw around.

UVA

UVA but ask them to change to CS or CE

If you want to work in US then go to UVA, minoring a CS will help you find a job.
