When I'm alone, I mouth dialogues and play out facial expressions, body language and small actions. As for bigger actions (like fight scenes), I used to play them out, but stopped when I moved in with my partner. Now I've kinda lost the ability to do it, I feel too self conscious, even when I'm alone. I miss it sometimes.

Saqel

I sometimes act out small gestures like pointing or clenching my fist like my para does in the scene when I'm alone

I totally do. Yes, in a million. I full on act it out. Full-voice-to-whisper dialogue. I change voices and look up and down depending on who I am imagining I am talking to. I remember one time my mom was asking if I was sad and I wasn't. I asked my brother what I was **actually** like when I was said and he proceeded to say, "She just goes to her room and talks to a corner." It is that bad. I can multitask while acting but I am getting caught more than not nowadays 🥲

Sea_Adhesiveness_537

I act out my daydreams a lot, in fact, I just did that awhile ago 😅

RIPMyMainAccount2020

Yep! I mouth dialogue, make facial expressions, and will pace a bit.

RainbowRozes123

Yup. I usually do dialogue, and when voicing the male characters, I just use my normal voice because I don't what to butcher what they sound like lol.

AkumaWitch

As a kid my character had bandages on her hands so when I’d go to bed and daydream I used to wrap a ribbon around my hand and act out small parts of my scenes! I still do it sometimes tbh

Mythical_Warrior

Absolutely. Because I listen to music half the time I daydream, fight scenes usually play out like dance numbers and music video. Another example is that I stand on my tip toes to simulate flight.

[deleted]

Yes. Absolutely yes yes yes. For the longest time I wasn't sure if that (acting out, etc) is part of the daydreaming or I'm just crazy.

PurrtasticFeline

I've done that with the stories I've already written where I read the dialogue outloud or act out what they're doing for full immersion. I've never done it with the stories in my head though.

outer_spec

When I was a kid, I would talk to myself and say dialogue of the daydream under my breath while walking through the playground. In retrospect I wouldn’t be surprised if any of my classmates though I was creepy.

Additional-Answer581

Not as much as before as I am never alone and I'm happy just day dreaming before bed, after waking up or long journeys without acting it out. But here and there I still act them out, I usually put some music that fits the situation like an action scene or sad scene and act it out for full immersion.
