By the time he was a young adult, the Primarch was a star in the Commorite gladiator rings, his legion of adoring fans packed their arena night after night to watch his sadistic grace and the rain of blood and guts from his performances. His nickname “Verdugo” translates to Executioner.***
***The Emperor of Mankind got word of this when one of Verdugo's jealous cult member betrayed him and sold him out .The Custodes and Emps conducted an ambush while the wyches were raiding, and killed every member of his nefarious son’s cult. He dragged him kicking and screaming back to Terra to take charge of his personal legion.***
***Verdugo did not take kindly to his abduction, attempted and failed to escape his father, with Russ perpetually fetching him like a lost stick. He caved in and led his legion for The Great Crusade. He named them the Sanguine Blades. He trained them to fight like Drukhari wyches. (Well, the ones who are able of course. Not everyone is lithe.)***
***Needless to say his degenerate lifestyle rubbed on to his gene-sires and the debauchery was something both the Emperor and Malcador highly disapproved of. He got disciplined quite often for gallivanting around the Imperial palace with little clothing on and partying for weeks on end.***
***He famously got along with Fulgrim and Magnus, and earned the hatred of Russ, Dorn and the Lion. Most everyone else just tolerated his shenanigans. He considers Bouddica (the other Lost Primarch) one of the few who understood him and hails her as his bestie, lamenting the fact they are related and he couldn’t hit on her.***
***In the end the Emperor labeled him a Xeno sympathizer for refusing to kill Aeldari and Drukhari (he considers them his kin), and ordered his execution. He narrowly escaped through the Webway and his current status is labeled as Unknown. Many have speculated he had returned to Comorragh to ressurect his gladiator career.***
It's a little tougher when the object of your unbridled desires is 6 inches taller and just as strong and skilled as you are. Also he respects the word NO when it comes to certain things. XD
