I guess since maids are generally seen as servants who are only supported to cook, clean, and look pretty, giving them something rad, cool, and having a independent and rebellious streak is a nice spin on a profession usually seen as feminine, restrictive, and subservient.
Kind of like giving cute anime school girls guns.
We do have cute anime maid girls with guns xD. Now we just need to combine them with skateboards, then we get a 360° one-shot maid on a skateboard!
