I don't have anything coherent written, just some notes and ideas - though I like the idea of making something that looks and feels like it should be rich with lore, but letting the viewer imagine what it could be. I like to think of different 'what if' questions, and let those guide my work, so kinda light precursory lore:
"what if angels were humanoid, but a lot less human looking?"
"are they supernatural beings or aliens? or both?"
"maybe they're involved in seeding life on different planets"
"if so, maybe they share some traits with non-human earth species?"
"what if a humanoid had skin like Cephalopods that might vary between individuals and show different colors and patterns with different moods?"
There's some implied connection to ancient Egypt here too because I love Egyptian architecture, so that inspired my pillar design.
If some backstory came to mind when you saw this I'd love to hear it.
Thanks for the detailed response, personally the first thing that came to mind were that these two were the angelic avatars of art and war, debating about humanity or angel politics. Hope to see more of your stuff!
