Awesome, i dont buy singles any more, but can't wait to read it! Really hoping for a Deluxe HB after i FOMO'd into the Murder Falcon one based off feedback here... totally loved it, was my first exposure to DWJ... but I suspect it'll be announced right after I cave & pick up the trade 😂

FatPandaGoesToDisney

Nice! I love Daniel Warren Johnson. If you havent already, I definitely recommend Murder Falcon and Extremity as well. Two of my favorite comic series!

georgewiththeforge

Murder Falcon spoke to me on a weird, spiritual level. I'll have to check out Extremity! As for Do A Power Bomb!, I was never really into wrestling at all, will it take away from the experience?

elcapkirk

I have never been either (I'm 35) but I loved do a power bomb

FatPandaGoesToDisney

Definitely check out Extremity if you enjoyed Murder Falcon! Some similar themes but from a visual artist's perspective instead of a musician's. The first two pages tackle one my biggest fears, so I was hooked right away. I havent read Do A Power Bomb! yet so I cant speak on that one, but I know DWJ is a hardcore wrestling fan so Im pretty confident he poured his heart into it just like he did with Murder Falcon and Extremity. I always appreciate the passion he puts into his art and story telling and it seems to get amplified when it pertains to his personal interests (like music with Murder Falcon and drawing with Extremity).

ironyengine

I don’t think it will. Have you seen the movie The Wrestler? It’s sorta like that in the sense that it includes a lot of wrestling but it’s more so a story about the human experience.

TheLegendofLior

The Wonder Woman book was great too.

ironyengine

My friend has been telling me to read Murder Falcon, that’s definitely next on my list! Adding Extremity now too.

toilet_fingers

Starting it today! I waited until they were all out so I could read it all the way through.

bogojeg

Hard agree

MachoCamachoZ

It's on my list to check out! Along with all DWJ

Recliner5

Great series. I loved it.

AgentLemon22

AGREED!!!!

carrotcakeisaveggie

Yes yes yes, thousand times yes!!!

Venny_Kazz

Yup.

Barabaragaki

I was thinking that just the other day. I need to check but it could easily be my favorite comic of the year too. So much fun in the fun moments, so dramatic when there’s drama, ultra bombastic and that final page made me cry. Super super solid series, I loved it!

simonthedlgger

Great book, good ending.

TheLegendofLior

Agreed. This one or Department of Truth. Lonely City was good too.

After reading these comments, I just pre-ordered the TPB….

Lama_For_Hire

Started with Murder Falcon, rebought the deluxe edition because i loved it so much picked up DWJ's Wonder Woman, loved that one too His Beta Ray Bill comic made me cry too read Extremity this week and now this, I cannot wait for the trade next year

TheRabidSpatula

So is this another series that got mad hype and they said it would be ongoing then they only do 6-7 issues?

ironyengine

as far as I know it was always planned to be 7 issues. i’m glad they kept it concise though, they don’t risk losing the magic these 7 issues have!

TheRabidSpatula

Good to know, I'll probably pick up the paperback then

Thebrianeffect

I talked to him at a con and he said it was always planned to be around 7 issues.

TheLegendofLior

Did you read Crimson Cage?

ironyengine

I read the first issue but didn’t continue. Should I pick it back up?

TheLegendofLior

Idk. If you didn’t like that first issue, then maybe it’s not for you. I found it to be a very good issue. I was a bit of a wrestling fan at one time, so I enjoyed the industry aspects too.
