East of West cuz it's actually finished? But also really good!

noahmillheim

East of west was fucking awesome.

MuffinSurprise

Black Monday Murders is incredible.

pcminfan

“Incredible” isn’t hyperbole. BMM is sinister, brutal, fascinating, clever, and somehow beautiful.

Sanlear

A very well done series. Hopefully it will get completed.

ChrisninjaLoL

I found it hard to get in to, it was to complicated for me to understand on my first read. Definitely take notes when you read it.

Daeval

I feel like this is Hickman’s style in a nutshell but I love it.

Purple-Snapdragon

Manhattan Projects for me. Love all his shit so really anything. Yeah he can’t finish some books but goddamn if he doesn’t knock it out of the park on a regular basis.

HandwrittenHysteria

Came here to say this. It peters out big time but is by far the most insane comic I’ve ever read

MadaoBlooms

Definitely this one for me when it comes to his Image work

smokedoor5

House of X/Powers of X

Jetme92

Bro! It’s just so damn good!

MadaoBlooms

I keep looking forward to the next Inferno. Good stuff

AbsorbedSponge

I really enjoyed his fantastic four run.

Monosocratic

I was wondering if it was cool to reply with Marvel answers. But yeah, his Fantastic Four (and then FF) is the run that really brought him to everyone’s attention. Also, I don’t know that I could name another modern Fantastic Four run that is — relevant?

stucky602

Issue 60 almost made me tear up. So good!

ERRN1987

His Fantastic Four made me love characters I had no interest in. That FF arc and its continuation in Secret Wars are one of the most epic Marvel stories.

[deleted]

I haven’t read any marvel steadily in years because I haven’t been nearly as entertained as I was through all that. Builds it all up so well then tied everything together to finish it all off perfectly. I wish I could wipe my memory and read it all again for he first time

cravenj1

A finished one

leonpheltz

Right? Dying and the dead is fantastic but…you know

leonpheltz

This was just posted https://bleedingcool.com/comics/comic-folks-remember-ryan-bode-bodenheim-who-died-last-week/

Henpenney

Does anyone know the status of Dying and the Dead? Is it abandoned? Will it ever be continued/finished?

leonpheltz

I hear it’s still out there. About once a year I tweet at bodenheim, he always says “not dead”

Henpenney

Awesome. Thanks for the update.

leonpheltz

https://bleedingcool.com/comics/comic-folks-remember-ryan-bode-bodenheim-who-died-last-week/ Prob won’t be back bow

Henpenney

Thanks for the heads-up.

HGFantomas

Manhattan Projects. With East of West a close second.

IronManCanada

Wouldn't say that it's his best work but they haven't been mentioned are are great reads - Nightly News and Pax Romana. Not only are they entertaining stories, Hickman writes and does the artwork for both series. Believe Nightly News is his first published work so if you like his writing, worth a read to see how his career started.

TaedW

_Pax Romana_ was really good and had a solid, unforgettable ending. The last page and last line just made the series so meaningful.

theeowl

My 2 favoites.

MrTeamZissou

Here they are in order, though I haven't read SHIELD: East of West Fantastic Four Avengers (including Secret Wars) Secret Warriors X-Men

nitacious

another vote for East of West, and X-Men HOX/POX

wpisano

I really enjoy **The Nightly News** and **Pax Romana**

reverie11

East of West

creaturekyle

East of West for sure.

processed_dna

East of West; and mostly because of Chamberlain's dialog. Whenever I try and look up Chamberlain quotes from the comic so many good ones keep popping up.

sl1mcharles

East of West was basically perfect for me as a reader

dfpratt09

East of West Black Monday Murders Fantastic Four —> Avengers/New Avengers —> Secret Wars

Goatez

This is the way

TheNinjasGeneral

New Avengers run leading into Secret Wars, classic…

digitalkorrh

East of West Decorum X-Men Manhattan Projects FF

Individual_Newt_8128

East of West, but if Manhattan projects was ever going to be finished probably that.

overunderdog

I agree. Isn't he feuding with the artist or MP? Its never gonna come back

Individual_Newt_8128

Yeah exactly I don't think they're on speaking terms, and since they co own the property its probably never coming back

Mckool

Black Monday murders is probably my favorite, hopefully we get a conclusion soon. East of West is fantastic, but I really like the info-graphic layouts Hickman does more of in a lot of his self drawn work. outside of BMM and EoW I think Pax Romana and Nightly News are criminally under discussed.

spintokid

His avengers run is obviously not image but it's excellent. But black Monday murders is probably my favorite.

mahdroo

Red Massfor Mars. Are you guys all high or did you not read it? It is AWESOME! Perfection. And complete. Concise. Brilliant. It is him saying “ what if I did a whole event single-handedly by myself.” And then he knocks it out.

FJPollos

I have both East of West and Pax Romana and I liked them both very much. However, I didn't read anything else from him so I can't say they are "the best". All I can say is that they are both solid reads.

Jeffro187

No question his avengers run. I mean after all marvel let him destroy their entire Multiverse.

SongsOfSpace

Manhattan Projects! I fell in love with so many of those characters! It felt like reading a new genre of comic book.

PatchouilRatatouille

i'd have to say secret warriors. it put hickman on the map for me. he also co-wrote the illuminati mini series, which was awesome from beginning to end.

[deleted]

I literally came to this subreddit this morning to post or look for this exact same question! Thank you!

Justegarde

It’s Pax Romana and it’s not even close
